      Yeah that's really great then. How long does the stun last on bigger boys? Might really facilitate stratagem combos

      Even if the stun is a second. It allows you to line up the perfect shot to kill something like a charger. Stun the charger and line up a EAT-17 to the head. Berserker bots. Stun the pack of them and line up a head shot. Making packs of Berserker bot a lot less scary.

      @dontclickthechannel7949 if that's true, then I agree the stun grenades are worse then I believe. Still better then the content creator thinks as you can stun packs of mobs before an airstrike to maximize kills.

    The new booster increases the amount of time between enemy reinforcement calls. The bot or bug will start doing the call in animation but nothing will happen. Helps reduce those seemingly endless reinforcement loops

      thing is, you can literally run away from fights, reposition, and keep going with your mission. Never understood why people love to pick unnecessary fights on the battlefield

      @@vpaul4374 Because there are situations where fights are unavoidable, not every encounter can be stealthed through. It really sucks to clear out a Heavy Nest only for a single scavenger to survive the bombardment and call in reinforcements. With the booster you would at least get a chance to find him and delete him before his buddies get called.

      @@vpaul4374This only applies for when you dont need to actually be there. A bug breach on a main obj or even optional is a huge pain.

    The stun grenade works on bile titans with no diminishing returns. Absolutely do not ignore them.

      Yup. Teammate had some and we were all blown away by how effective they were. Guess Mr UA-cam can't test against real scenarios because skill issue. The shotgun is awesome too.

      @@kurtcrean I assume it's the direction of testing. When using it as a solo player, you might not be able to capitalise on the stun much, making it feel underwhelming. Whereas in a team, it's a huge force multiplier allowing your team to focus on major threats.

    Folks, stun grenades are S tier. The ability to slow a heavy and maximize your strategem strikes is immeasurably valuable.

    I'm amazed you don't see the potential in stun grenades. You can freeze a horde of enemies in a strategem's damage zone, keep hunter groups stationary instead of dodging or jumping, interrupt enemy patrol alerts for those enemies you can't quite get shots at or kill quickly since the AOE is so big. The fact that we have faster more reliable access to EMS zones is insane. and these will absolutely be great to pair with any orbital or airstrike, flamethrower, tesla tower, or just to keep bugs off of you, or defend an area like extraction, battery silo, seismic probe where you can't run away by keeping enemies from overrunning you.

      I don't know what people expect.
      It was obviously going to be a weaker version of the ems calldown.
      But like smoke grenades there's a strength in not having a big laser in the sky or several minute cooldown between uses

    I love how you call the Plasma Shotgun VERY underwhelming while two-tapping Bile Spewers with body shots lol. It's got its downsides for sure but it's by far the best primary against medium armor.

      2 chargers, a bile titan and lots of smaller bugs... Team mate reinforcing, as soon as they land I threw a stun, then waited a moment and threw another. By the time the second stun finished, team mate is safe and is helping to clear the adds while my anti tank lands. Very useful.

      Most primaries can kill chargers if you juke well enough though. The important question for me is how fast/how many shots does it take?

    the new armors allows you to extend the range of your team mates arc throwers beyond the normal max range when they shoot you.

      @@jonhack2585 Not even the plasma shotgun. Just go full commit and run the arc shotgun. Closest pistol is the Dagger though, but the arc loadout can take anything the bugs can throw and almost anything from the bots except arty towers that are too high up to get eye-level on. If you're at eye level or close to it, then you can zap the turret in eight shots and not even worry.

    The stun grenade is the best grenade so far imo. It freezes chargers ....I throw.. and afterwards 500kg directly hit always bam bam. Even Titans. The 500 kg bomb is so powerful with the stun grenade.

    Think the issue with these immediate ideas, like what most of youtube is used to, is you really don't get the full time needed to understand nuances about these tools. I hope everyone that looks at these weapons early on gives better looks later with retractions and better understandings.

      These videos are less for the viewers and more for him. The viewers benefit from him taking the time to get to know the items more intimately and see any unseen quirks or interactions that change their dynamics. But he benefits from shitting out a quick and fast video because it's a hot and fresh topic and he'll get more views by being early to the party. He didn't even fucking wait to unlock the third page weapon before getting this video out.

      He probably played a single mission, couldn't aim for shit (He literally admitted that the weapon will one shot weak enemies with a direct hit, then went on to continue saying "It CANNOT one shot the weakest enemies in the game"), and decided it's trash.
      He basically assumed that it's a grenade launcher, (Note how he keeps stressing how it 'fires GIANT balls of plasma' despite them being... fairly small), so he went into a low level mission to test it against swarms of small enemies, it didn't preform how he expected (Because it's made for hitting weak spots, not crowd control), so he automatically decided it's trash.

    Maybe if the new armors each provided partial resistance to other damage types? A medium with Arc/ Fire, heavy with Arc/ Explosions, Light with Arc/ chemical?

    The booster is potentially OP.
    I was playing an eradicate mission, someone put the booster on and we had 30 seconds without any bugs coming in... The affect was huge

      The booster does virtually nothing in most normal missions, unless you're choosing to fight everything and need a little more time to stop them from calling reinforcements.
      It's super good for eradication missions and the silo missions, I'd assume it's also great for the evacuation missions, too.

      It's definitely not quite as good as the breaker pre nerf, but it's a very solid close range option. The S&P has been my go to for bugs ever since the buff.

      It's my go-to when running arc thrower. Spray and pray does great work when a group of hunters manage to sneak up out close the gap and too many for a backward dive with the arc thrower

      Yeah I was about to say the same thing, ever since the patch that gun actually works pretty well for light/medium target clearing. I’ll even use it against bots from time to time, has saved me from sticky situations.
      I feel like people are getting to caught up on the stats of a gun (seeing a bigger or smaller number) and not paying attention to what the weapon is actually used for, which is situational.
      For example with the breaker S&P You use other gear to compensate for the lower AP of your primary, like the rail gun, anti material rifle, etc… giving your self a good mix of equipment either will make or break the weapons you bring into combat.
      Of course this is only my opinion and personal experience with the game, so people should just play what they enjoy

      It's not bad but it doesn't replace the original breaker imo. Scorcher and breaker are still my go tos even after patches and new war bond

    I've found the best way to avoid being teamkilled with randoms is being proactive in handling what needs to be handled. Pick a direction, not in front of the arc thrower, and go for it. They'll either follow behind you or go their own direction and make a bunch of noise pulling attention from you. Been able to handle all sorts of objectives for the team that way and is why I still love light armor even after the rating fix. Lets me keep ahead of the pack and out of the way while still being useful with radar pings and goodie collection.

    I picked it up, the Laz-16 Sickle feels like the weapon I've been waiting for to fit the Kite and Fight playstyle I prefer. Also helps to not have a primary run out of Ammo when you carry those precious Support weapons like the Recoilless Rifle

      not just not running out of ammo, an energy based means that sickle, like scythe, will ALWAYS be in "full ammo" after you use your support weapon. so whenever you're getting flanked and ganked by hunters, you can always switch to sickle and it'll be ready, full ammo, to clean up those hunters.
      except if you overheat the gun previously and haven't changed the heat exchanger...

      yeah i can definitely see this one. I always carry an ammo backpack since my prime is nearly always empty (trigger happy) - thats also the reason why i cant play autocan or recoiless. Then i guess the secondary should be an energyweapon too, so you can always change weapon for heat cooldown.

    The stun grenade is absolutley AWESOME!. With an AMR you cab stun a whole horde of Devastators and they will freeze in place, making it possible to one shot them one after the other. Same with Hulks, I killed 3 Hulks in a row by just stunning them, walking on theye back and blasting them, or just by shooting them twice in the eye with the AMR. Dosn't matter how close they are to you. It's by far my favorite grenade now and it will replace the impact one. Obviously I just wish it could explode bug holes and fabricators. Also, the Plasma Shotgun is not the best, I agree, but it does 2 shot devastators on body shots, 1 shot striders. What I don't like is the super super small hitbox of the plasma ball itself, often I saw it going through units without registering the hit, and I also don't like the fact that it shoots like a grenade launcher and not like a shotgun. I wish it was a Slugger but with plasma.

    Plasma shotgun appears to hace significant stagger and pushback. Looks to me like more of a crowd control weapon making space with big groups

    I saw someone use the stun grenade, and I think it's way better than you think, the person using it was able to stun a bile titan for a few seconds and with right timing keep it In place for a minute or more.

    Do the illuminate use electricity for their attacks? If so that could be what the armor is preparing for but I rly don’t like the idea of having armor that lets you ignore 90% of a factions damage

      It also pairs with your teammates running the arc thrower. And their shots will chain off of you and onto enemies. And prevents damage from Tesla towers. So it’s not just for faction. A full team with arc throwers and this armor probably slaps.

      It's possible that a lot of their enemies will use arc damage, but probably only certain rank&file enemies or maybe 1 heavy type. Which would make the armor useful against them but not all-encompassing. The same way the explosive-resistance armor helps against rocket guys from Automatons.

      They might have some electric attacks but definitely not all electric. It's possible the bots may also get some sort of electric attack in the future. Think of it like the armor that gives 50% explosive resistance. It will be good against some things but useless against others.

    8:19 I believe the airstrike has to hit it dead on with the bomb, the explosion itself will not destroy the hole.

      I believe the issue is the direction that the fire came from. A strike that hits the back covering of a bug hole can stop the damage to the hole and prevent it from being closed. You see it a lot in hatcheries since they have those tall walls. They prevent a lot of the damage to eggs depending on how the stratgem lands.

    The stun grenade stops chargers, and gives you time to run away or call in a stratagem. Also, the plasma shogun is more of a plasma grenade launcher. It's meant to do aoe to a group of enemies.

    Though the plasma shotgun isn’t good on single enemies. It seemingly clears groups of them very quickly. Doing a tower defense I saw it demolish multiple enemies with less ammo than other primaries would have taken to do the same job.

    pretty sure that the flexible reinforcement budget booster reduces time to around 1:47-1:48 and not 1:57.
    still too small a buff to warrant taking over more powerful boosters though.

    The new armor actually allows for you to use your teammates as arc extenders, as they will allow you to shoot the bugs through them from ridiculous distances, while they get no damage from it😊

    you are using the stun grenade wrong, it stuns Bile Titans and Chargers for about 5 seconds wich makes it super easy to land a 500kg bomb right next to a Titan or shoot a Charger in the face with an EAT easier

      ​@@totoky0Stuns everything as well, even tanks. Stun a tank, flank it with an Autocannon, guaranteed kill. If hulks are running at you, stun them for 5 seconds, and land 2 easy headshots with the AC for a kill. It's still a very strong pick for bots, but it's a MUST PICK for bugs. Have 2 people run this grenade with the grenadier armor and you have 12 stun grenades that can stunlock titans and chargers for 60 seconds combined. It will be a must pick for Helldive difficulty. It guarantees 500kg kills on Titans.

    Plasma shotgun is meant for charger orange butts and bile titan green belly. With new stun grenade, it's more effective against chargers, throw it after you dodge it then blast its butt, does big damage, 5 shots to blow up its butt. It replaces my EAT slot
    Plasma Shotgun also great for stunning and killing stalkers, 3 shots. Good for orange spewers, about 3-4 shots, and stuns their spew

    The stun grenade is good for when you get swarmed as it won’t kill you and gives you a few seconds of time to breathe. It also stops chargers ( though they just stay stuck in their running animation and resume after they aren’t stunned… it looks really silly), but most importantly it’s great for team play. If you have a teammate getting chased it’s really good for getting enemies off them without risk of killing them, allowing for the team to set up really good group kills

    Armors are a bit of a let down but weapons, at least two of them, look very good. Sickle was my favourite in the first Helldivers so looking forward to try it out.

      The sickle is pretty much just an objectively better liberator (Potentially infinite ammo, more controllable; same damage, handling and sight), with the only downside being that it requires a short spool-up before it starts shooting.
      The plasma punisher is weird to get used to, but it provides certain utility that the other primaries just don't have (actually decent explosive splash damage, and the ability to lob shots over terrain like a mortar). It also helps that it has the punisher standard knockback effect, so it will stagger things on hit.
      It may not be the absolute best, but once you get used to the firing arc, it is efficient and extremely reliable. Just don't shoot anything that's directly touching you.

    The grenade is CRAZY against bugs on higher difficulties if you're using the flamethrower.
    It'll stun enemies for a couple moments in a surprisingly wide area(I believe it's the largest area for any grenade in the game)
    But the interesting thing is that while the enemies are stunned the ones that are behind them will keep walking forward towards you, in just two or so seconds you end up with a meatball of bugs clustered on top of each other for you to cook.

    SOOOOO HAPPY that the Sickle is so good! It's such a breath of fresh air to have an assault rifle in this game that's really good and isn't the default Liberator. Used it a couple of times now and I'm very satisfied. Can't wait to get the Dagger too to have an infinite never ending barrage of laser death. Also excited for the Blitzer, here's hoping its as good as the Breaker or more!

    You can use the arc armor to allow your ally's arc to jump off you to the bugs in front of you. It might work for the arc orbital.

    do note that resisting arc damage could gain in vale once the third faction is out, since their frontline troops used electric attacks in the first game

    Maybe the booster spawns less patrols, so you can go to objectives faster, but because you can get to objectives faster, the rate of fighting is still the same. You could look at the time it took to complete missions with the booster and without, and look for if the booster reduces the total time.

      The booster, from my testing of using it for ~5 hours today, is great for making eradication missions easier, and is actually OP for the silo defense missions we've got right now, as it makes the waves take way longer to spawn, thus massively reducing the risk you take when fighting, since they can't swarm you as easily.

    With sickle tap fire is pretty insane, you can also keep the "wind upp" active while switching targets. Insanely accurate so well placed shots can decimate enemys!

      I disagree. If you're running something weak in your team, the damage you would put out with a stronger tool falls to someone on the team and they have to try harder due to that.
      Plus there is plenty virtually useless stratagems and weapons.

    So, stun grenade also works on chargers, and if you use the plasma shotgun to shoot below the charger, you could kill it rather quickly. So it's a primary weapon that could quickly kill chargers.

      It also has medium armor penetration allowing you to pack the stalwart for the chaff. Add stun grenades and a supply pack with an engineer perk of +2 grenades and we are talking lock down city.

      @@donalddouds6033I normally use flamethrower since it can clear mobs AND take care of chargers. But with a primary that can take on chargers, I could switch to the arc thrower for mob clear. It's been mostly great so far, but need to work on consistently killing chargers with the plasma shotgun.

    The energy rifle has an unparalleled ammo economy with what feels like bottomless heatsinks. It makes rapid work against small bugs, most importantly hunters. It struggles against larger enemies like brood commanders, spewers(both kinds) and hive guards. Rapid fire rate and no recoil. Overall a very solid choice.
    The plasma punisher… more of a grenade launcher. Its pretty versatile. It shreds hordes of small enemies, bypasses medium armor completely, and yes, can kill chargers in between 4-6 shots if u aim under them. Against automatons the aoe is fantastic. Scout striders are just, childs play. The aoe is pretty large. Ammo economy is good too.
    Stun grenade… oh the stun grenade… works on everything. See a charger, throw the stun, then follow up with a precision strike, 500gk, anything. This works on BILE TITANS!!! Love this thing…
    And arc shotgun… its uhh.. its alright in my opinion. I’d love to be proven wrong about this. Fun to use. It staggers enemies, has an insane amount of damage point blank, but its firerate is a**… hitting an ally with the new armor and ragdolling them is funny though.
    These are just my opinions… everyone is free to have their own thoughts on these weapons… if i got anything wrong lemme know… these guns are FUN.

    the new armour passive is going to be INCREDIBLE once the illuminates are added - if they're anything like the first game's illuminates, many of them will use electric arcs as weapons. I suspect that they've added this hard-counter armour set ahead of the illuminate reveal specifically so that people get to try it out, be underwhelmed, and then later get to go back and "discover" it's secret usefulness.

    wild, the stun grenade is the single best item you can bring into the game, it stuns everything, meaning you can pick how you want to engage, keep enemies in place to either flank them or keep them in a stratagem, I only wish I could carry more any encounter with it is trivial
    as for the plasma shotgun it is primary grenade launcher, it is weaker, but it is a primary, with larger mag, faster reload and better handling, one guy taking it on a team is definitely a good call

    I can't believe it the plasma shot gun makes the dominator look good. I use the dominator as my main weapon and now it finally is not the worst weapon in the game I am very happy. How does the plasma do against armored enemies though if you could just shoot the front of a hulk a few times and because of the explosion it hits the weak point could potentially be powerful.

      It's great against bile and nursing spewers, it does splash damage against scavengers, it's got 104 shots... It's actually pretty good... It's just not really a shotgun. It's more of a grenade launcher. And the cyclic rate is kinda slow.

    My own experience with the weapon gives me two things that I'd say. The EMP grenade is a bit niche since, as you point out, it doesn't destroy nests and fabs. But stunning a charger with one then calling down a resupply drop to kill it is a lot of fun. It can also help on bots when you want to flank a target to get at weak points. Not a 'every mission' tool, but not a bad one.
    The plasma shotgun is a better weapon against bots than bugs, but even against those it's a love it or hate it gun. There are a few targets it takes down amazingly well (like striders) but other times when you put three shots between the legs of a basic bot and it's still alive where you curse it. My friends are split on it. The one guy who loves to lob shots and somehow manages to hit things by shooting into the air over cliffs thinks it's the best primary ever. The rest of us will never equip it again.

    I tried the Booster on Helldive runs with the Terminids. Several times we noticed the scout bugs call for reinforcements while we had to hunker down, and probably a quarter of the time (roughly) no bug breach. I feel like it helped a bit on the Refuel missions, obviously not so much on the 15 Minute Blitz missions.

    The other reason you might use the arc armor is if you have two friends using arc throwers. You can run around in enemies with shotguns without having to worry about the throwers fragging you. The stun grenades stop chargers mid charge and can hold even Bile titans in place for 500kg bombing or two accurate headshots for a EAT-I7.

    The new booster is EXTREMELY good for the current terminid special mission, massively reducing how many enemies you get. I was able to do all of the silo protections solo on difficulty 7.
    It's also extremely good for eradication missions, since the waves will have longer timers between them, meaning you'll have more time to kill the first wave before the second spawns, reducing the likelihood of getting overrun. The downside of doing this is that it makes them take significantly longer, but it also makes doing them solo or with a not very good group much easier.
    The new booster is very good, but it's also situational.

    Idk, the localization confusion on some games with it on and without it on, level 7-9 last night. we noticed a huge difference with it. It’s my new go to booster for certain missions.
    We kept saying to each other how some matches (not all) were eerily empty. Just a couple packs of patrols here and there, it doesn’t stop them from calling in breeches though. Also, when doing the objectives, there was instances where nothing spawned at all. Making it so the civilians extract was literally sit and click

    That booster on page one is insane. Increasing time between enemy waves could be a total game changer on difficulty 7 and above. I'm excited to try the guns, but I'll save up some Super Credits for that booster alone. The Sickle also looks great. This war bond might be picking up for the first page.

      depends on the increase of time, if it's even 50% increase it's insane. if it's only like 10% (which from most things it seems like that's the percentage they go for) it would be pretty lackluster

    I'm interested in how exactly what you talk about around 9:20 will work with the Dagger pistol. You might be able to swap back and forth seamlessly to maintain damage without a reload. Imagine that with the Rover going too, Lasers everywhere.
    Also, the splash damage issue with the Plasma shotgun is also present in the Scorcher. Can't use it on stuff in your face or you will blow that face off.

    Oh damn, that Tesla Tower + Armor buff could make some great defensive stand.
    Get the MG43, wear that armor, call down a tesla coil and lay next to it and hold the line. maybe a Guard Dog backpack as well and you can hold the line fairly good against light and medium enemies with ease.
    I might test that one when i got them all unlocked.

    stun grenade has a very VERY high utility purpose. 2-3 chargers coming at you? throw them the stun nades, and then call in eagle. chargers dead.
    oh what's that? bile titan? stun nade and call eagle to drop 500kg bomb right on top of its head. you'll never miss 500kg bomb to a titan ever again.

    I agree with almost everything he says except for the stun grenades. My favorite use of the stuns is to stun a whole wave of guys and light them up with the flamethrower. You can use this trick with chargers as well. The stun grenade even works with bile Titans. It is very useful.

    ive used the arc shotgun, and bad news, it struggles to clear hordes once you introduce more than 8 enemies at a time. You would think it would excel at that being a lightning shotgun, but its damage is wildly inconsistent. Ive had a round one shot 2 hunters between both, ive had a round 2 tap a single hunter with it being the only target i shot, ive gotten 5 kills in a blast, and ive also failed to kill a scavenger in a single blast. Its like using wild magic if the best thing it can do is a simple arcane blast, and the worst thing it can do is color spray or team damage.
    It does apply stun at the very least, and seems to penetrate medium armor well, but with such slow pumps and taking about 3-5 for a single hive guard, that will take you around 7 seconds for a single enemy stronger than a warrior, even longer with more as the damage gets DIVIDED between targets.
    I have not used the las pistol, but given the stats are half of the laser rifle that already feels like a dead tv remote, im wiling to bet it will be one of the most underwhelming weapons in the arsenal right beside the scythe and now, the plasma shotgun and lightning shotgun.
    This pass is basically 1000 super credits for the sickle.

Some weapons I just watched one person say are S-Tier amazing this guy says are a pass or not great. Love how many options there are to customize to your gameplay style.     The arc shotgun is AMAZING, it fixes all the issues for arc thrower dealing with up close enemies. You run arc thrower+shotgun in a game, you get unlimited ammo, with the ability to control crowds and deal with charger. I bet they will get nerfed.

    ARC resist has more to offer, use the arc resist to make the spark jump further or getting an swarmed helldiver free.
