I’ve done hundreds of hours on figure 8 tracks and I still suck more than anything that has ever sucked before 😔 One problem I find is that I form the rut going really slow doing these drills which makes the rut very upright. As I get faster I’m leaning the bike more and more my tyre grabs on the inside edge of poorly formed upright rut and down I go …any tips? 🤷♂️
Question, if your feet are supposed to be on the balls constantly, how to do manage braking and gearing? Is it a case of just switching quickly or is there more of a technique?
Its all about being methodical! Get your braking done early getting your foot back to position for the corners, grabbing shifts in the air. Theres lots of little tricks to get around the track without breaking the proper positioning for long.
I broke my foot on left turn of figure 8 on a slope while standing and going like 1 mph. Hooorahhh life long pain. gotta love them bikes 🥰 its still my fav work out since I'm sooo bad at ruts... and everything else XD
Mate I’m 32 gave up riding years ago and fell back inlove with it, been out 3 times in 3 weeks I feel better then I did in my 20’s riding now. I’m sure you will be fine if you have a passion for it age is not a limit
Looks great. The hardest thing is finding somewhere to do them.
Neighbors yard works well

Start with a bigger 8, work your way into tighter 8

70 pushups. Beautiful effort!
I’m 27 and looking to get into motocross with that being said I’m curious on people’s view point if that’s to late age wise to get into this sport?
Absolutely not! But maybe we're biased 🤷
