Marmolada glacier ski slope from Punta Rocca (3265 m.) to Capanna Bill (Fedaia) integral descent

- A late spring (you will realize it's spring around the end of the slope 😂) integral descent from the top of the Marmolada glacier at Punta Rocca (3265 m.) all the way down to Passo Fedaia until Capanna Bill. You will not find in this video the last 2 km from Capanna Bill to Malga Ciapela as it is simply a long flat straight.
This descent measures 6.8 km and if you try to do it all without stopping you need to have some good legs and good condition as you still start from above 3000 meters. You may get short of breath if you are not used to the altitude.

Infatti, la Marmolada é sempre una garanzia, basta solo scegliere il periodo giusto per non stare in coda a Malga Ciapela 😉

Super smooth at the top - every time I’ve been there it’s been like a mogul field 😩

@@UstariaPosta Ja, so soll es sein. ich gebe zu, das der Schnee für mich und meine Schi nicht das Wahre ist. Ich hatte schon Probleme, als ich in unserer Woche Neuschnee hatte. Aber das liegt eher daran, das meine Schi nicht dafür gebaut sind.... Ich mag es eher hart.

Bravi, che bel video, bellissima discesa, in effetti la neve cambia molto dalla quota alla valle. Non mancano mai i soliti "groppi" di sciatori fermi sulla pista nei tratti meno scorrevoli. "C'è chi scia e c'è chi scende", diceva spesso un amico fanatico. Ho un vago ricordo di una gara di slalom che si teneva forse piu di 20/25 anni fa sulla "Marmolata" (errata pronuncia di molti stranieri) a fine stagione da cima a fondovalle, aperta a tutti gli sci club . Non vorrei sbagliare, ma ho questo ricordo. Tuttavia , allego questo breve video di YT circa una pionieristica gara in libera del 15.4.1940 "Direttissima delle Alpi".
