Roughly what I wanted to make on my touring. I'm sick of straight bar and I find little use for a dropbar since I won't be using the drops. Bullhorn setup like yours looks like the best solution. Would you recomend it?
its good to see that it's working well. i'm gonna be doing this soon to my MTB as well except i'll be using Sunrace SLM10. Are your shifters on the outside of the tape? or did you try and cover the clamp with the bar tape? Thanks
+Jolene Lee They are Shimano SIS SL-MY20 3x6 shifters. The front shifter is non-indexed. The rear shifter has a switch to put it into friction mode and I now use them on a bike that has an 8spd cassette without any problems.
+Jolene Lee The Tektro website says the RX 4.1 levers will only work with a "Caliper or Canti Brake Lever System". I'm currently using them with Avid BB7 Road (short pull) calipers.
Handlebar: Fyxation Rodeo Pursuit
Brake Levers: Tektro RX 4.1 Reverse Brake Levers
Shifters: Shimano SIS SL-MY20 (in friction mode)

it works for me but with the shifters next to the stem
I'm gonna do something similar! I'm gonna try to put ez-fire shifters on a bullhorn, let's see if it works!

+Anna Mae Doroteo The shifter clamps are directly on the bar. I wrapped the tape up to the bottom of the clamp.
Looking for something similar. Is this a kit that can be ordered or have you DIY-ed it?
Now get aero bars and really watch the houses fly by
can this work on 9 speed?
What are the specific shifters you used?

+Jolene Lee Also, I had to use longer bolts to compensate for the larger diameter of the bullhorn bars.
+Marpilli Bon would your brakes work with v-brakes?

+Marpilli Bon If I get friction shifters that are 6 spd but my bike is 7spd could I still use all 7 gears? Because it's in friction...
