thank you for this! going by age i should technically be a junior in college but i took a semester off in my first year of college and then i took this school year off bc of covid... i live in kansas and i'm hoping to get into ut austin for astrophysics, but my grades last spring were terrible since we have to go online :( i still have like 3 semesters left at my community college so i'm hoping if i get good enough grades i can apply to ut austin! if not i'll just apply to an in-state university and hopefully i can get my phd at ut austin... wish me luck!
And definitely not the end of the world if it doesn’t work out! UT is best enjoyed on campus so depending on how long it really takes to get back to normal, reflect on what you can do now and I promise it’ll bring you joy and success
definitely get in touch with the ECE department at UT and see if they can get you set up with a student interview to learn more! It's a great way to figure out that the program is a good fit and get personalized info on what you're trying to do :) hope it helps!
