AFAIK, no written changes have released in the past few weeks that would indicate a nerf, but I've tested a bunch of different things and nothing seems to work anymore. I'm sure it'll have it's time to shine again in the future but for now, definitely look to other options.

I felt like I am killing it, and my pvp build is SLAYING.. To see that you confirmed all my good decisions, I just kept nodding with a smile on my face through out the video.. Well done..

Pants wise there are other options for mods ... Reload Rampage (Utility) Killing 2 enemies refills 2 bullets from inventory (no more than half of the mag), and grants +10.0% Weapon and Status DMG, lasting until the next reload Elemental Amplifier (Status DMG) Reloading an empty mag grants +10.0% Status DMG for 12 seconds, up to 3 stacks

@ezreel9664 you keep your mods too? So if you keep your blueprints and mods, what's is there to grind for when the Season resets? Levels and materials with limited content because of time gate? Seems kind of redundant.
Idk what I'm doing wrong but people are telling me that their Abyss Glance builds are reaching 90k DPS on their shooting dummies and the highest I can reach with tactical thrown & deviate out is like 23k.
I think the build has gotten a massive nerf and Once Human is like, nope, you should play shrapnel instead and no fun allowed. I got the same problem and my dps is topped at max 25k. I think its a normal thing that happens in games like these where they just suddenly nerf stuff
Love this! Just such a shame I used all my starchrom at the beginning on stupid things :/ I tried out frost vortex a few days ago with the SMG and loved it - until I realized a silo easily used 1-2k bullets lol. So a build with the KAM is just amazing! REALLY good job bro!
I got the abyss glance on my first server but i pretty much used all controllers on normal silos, wasted more starchrom on useless gear but I knew the gun had potential but i never knew how much since everybody else just doing the icy rain. This is pretty good, thanks
@@Haaaterade what about the mods from nisa noc ? Lingering frost and shattering ice, they both have suffixes that give frost damage, frost vortex dmg, status dmg, pretty much best in slot suffixes?
This is the most versatile yet effective all round build. I think I'll build frost over shrapnel and burn as it has more overall benefits rather than singular target damage.
totally get ur point in case of secondary. but the main reason most ppl use the crossbow is because a lot of ppl run crit amplifier builds and the crossbow gives an additional 30% crit rate. since u run a weakspot weighted build with main status dmg thos 30% crit rate r not important so taking the bulls eye pistol makes a lot of sense

So jealous of your mods. I got the same mods but with terrible stats and dont have controllers left. Build still rocks. Lets hope they lift the controller need
i went with this as well. I have everything you've mentioned already equipped besides the blue mod im going to try that as well. i also use the snowballs when times right for a little extra buff. but clearing whole groups of mobs feels much better than doing more weakspot damage on single targets in my opinion. I am not one for the "meta" i play what i enjoy and still hold my own and its much more fun.

What i d like to try is this Ar together with the Gulped Lore Sniper leaning heavily into ele dmg. The problem: Galore needs some kind of weakspots amplifiers for its max potential. The good thing tho, it is a 1:1 weakspot to UB crit dmg ratio meaning you can deal huge amounts of UB crits without any crit chance. Might be interesting to see that build.
Man I really wish I had the skills to build a website that actually lets you build your preferred status using all mods weapons and armor in the game so that you can easily see what stats you can have

This build is a lot of fun, other than the fact that some bosses are completely immune to freeze and burn. No wonder everyone play the default shrapnel build, its boring but at least it works. I regret trying to do something fun....
I’ve got both the Abyss and Vortex fully calibrated and have complimentary mods for each respective build type. The ak hits harder but the reload speed is almost as slow as an LMG. The vector handles hordes of mobs easier without needing to reload. Vector also just feels better in PvP with mobility
So the ONLY way to get the Abyss Glance is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 8k Starchrom The only way to get the Shelterer Armor Set is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 12k Starchrom The other piece of the Lone Wolf set is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 3k Starchrom You CAN earn a lot of Starchrom... But this seems rather excessive to only play it for 2 weeks, if that. Really appreciate the build and ALL of the info you went into! I JUST started to build my Icy Rain build, so this helps a lot too! Not sure if I'll get the Abyss Glance, but this does look like a lot of fun!!
@Mark-nu3us As it is with any legendary piece of gear, whether it's a weapon or armor. This took 3-4 weeks to put together. The best builds in this game take time and materials.
Once you unlock those BPs you have them forever. Any BPs you buy now will be available for you to make again from the get go at the start of the next season.
Wow you got my subscription, I'm new and it's hard to get the money for buying all this items, it's like 16k special money... I have 6k. I just it will take me some time before I get it.
I played F76 for a while (800 hours) and noticed that in this game it is possible to play with a small amount of HP with mods that provide a damage bonus. I'm testing it for now, but I'm curious if any of the UA-camrs will discuss this topic.
@GuardianW1 It's definitely an option, especially with chloroarmor as a failsafe. My main thought on those however, are that there are mods that give you similar/the same benefits while not requiring you to remain under/over a certain % of health. Not to say they're not viable, just not preferable IMO.

WIll i still do more dmg than the frost SMG if i dont perfectly do the rotation? its just going to cost alot of starchrom x.x the smg having much more ammo seems nicer but ur melting bosses faster than others ive seen so idk what to go with
topped out at just over 100k but sustained was only around 80ish on average with the current set up. Gonna keep refining until I can keep consistent 90k single target dps.
@david9538 Nope. The multiple dummys are there just to show AOE DPS. You wanna watch your buff timers for things like covered advance and stack vulnerability and your deviant boost.
@@Haaaterade I bought it from the wish machine, epic blue print is the only way I know to get this it was 2000 Starchrom I think. the dropped one you can't repair. and it doesn't come in Lego. One more thing I love slapping npc's with the fish. it's Soooooooo funny
i dont understand how u are dealing 80k dps. i been watching this video like 20times, i got the exact same mods. all upgraded, max calibration and i cannot even break 20k dps... the only mod im missing is the weapon mod
Love that almost all builds are viable. Almost cuz bounce exists. 🤐 Well, the only reason I'm using Shrapnel is cuz the main weapon for it is on rate up at the wish machine this season 🤣 Decided specializing in 1 build and going all in would be better so I bought The Last Valor straight up for 8k, and got all 20 rewards from the Wish Machine. Also bought 3 pcs Lonewolf and there goes my Starchrom for this Season. At least my Gun is 3-stars and the damage increase compared to a 1-star blueprint is actually noticeable.
I have a 1 in 1 assembly - only the modules turned out much better, they all have damage and elemental status, but on a mannequin with all the buffs I deal damage no higher than 28-30 thousand. I can't figure out what the problem is...

@glajah6380 The only abyss change IIRC is adding the hit counter which does nothing other than show you how close you are to hitting a frost vortex. I imagine it will feel exactly the same unless something breaks unintentionally.
@Haaaterade So, does this build work for exploration? The whole 20 hits to trigger frost vortex thing makes it seem bad for exploration or at least not as good as the smg because you have to hit something 20 time. I am able to buy the gun, but I am up in the air if I wanna commit to it or if I just wanna upgrade my power surge rifle.

Great video. One question I thought of at 5:25: do the weapon mod effects trigger only if you have it in your hands or do they apply as long as you have it in the slot?
i wonder the same thing ppl ingame told me only the substats are active all the time but the core effect only when actively holding/using the weapon so im not sure if core stat on the tagging gun matters unless u shoot and kill with it
Somebody has to explain something to me. I have the exact same gear and mods as the build says. Yet this guy can do around 100K dps with everything and i get around half of that. Ok mods have different sub stats rolls but thats only a few %. Is it rly all about the substat rolls that make such a huge difference?
You have an update for this one yet? I am trying to replace talent mods with resonance for the right roll for element / weakspot dmg if I can find a good roll to potentially get 50-65% element increase on one piece. Also switching to the Bingo for bullseye for extra dmg. I found increase Vortex dmg and duration mods for my mask. Mask is probably the best piece for armor. I had the highest dps build on my pve server for frost build during season 1.

So the new patch looks to be nerfing this gun in the form of adding hit counter. Does this change anything for this build at all? Kinda worried now that I invested in picking up this BP and then this nerf drops.
How do you think adding a hit counter will nerf this weapon? I would imagine a hit counter (being added to the other combat counters on the UI) would just show you how many hits you have until your next frost vortex...effectively counting the hits. Like a hit counter does. That's not a nerf, it's just a QOL update.

If you have the heavy duty set you could do a hybrid build with that. I ran a 3 piece shelterer and 2 piece heavy duty for a while and before that 3 HD and 2 agent.
@@Haaaterade I've bought three pieces of lone Wolf , the last valor and gambling took more than I realized. Down to 3600. I'll have to chase down the hidden crates and next week quests maybe I'll have enough. It looks better rounded with the aoe
@@Titansdragon75 there are the hidden crates with legs that get up and run. They give that stellar currency and you can use that to buy a limited number of starchrom chests
bit same here with weakspot sniper build, its good and I do like it but I want to try something new and this build does look good ,saving up chromes for weap, the mods gonna be something els to farm for
Man idk what they did with this patch but my dmg went down by a lot, my body hits do under 500dmg, and weak spots do 888dmg. 10 calibration on weapon btw

Great video, just a follow up on SMG vs KAM frost tho XD. I don't know if I should uprade to this KAM, is it worth it. One downside for me on smg is that even though I dont need to reload it has relatively lower dps than other builds and I constantly just find myself crafting thousands after thousands of ammo
@russlmao7091 It all depends on what you want really. The SMG, IMO, is kind of gimmicky and I'm not the biggest fan. Yea it never reloads but that's about it. The weapon damage is low, range is lower than abyss, and it chews through ammo faster for less damage. Fun for some but I think it's way overhyped personally.
Did the calibration blueprint itself change since this video? After finally getting my hands on that assault rifle precision style, mine has: attack damage +25%, range +40%, and fire rate -10% . The dual elemental damages both have the same ranges of % possible. Didn't know if the first part of that calibration blueprint has different %'s or weither it got a buff since the video
Bingo be maybe better than Wildfire in case of boss dps? And i think that frost AK also be strong af in next season, cause in this season cradle you can have only 1 buff to it.
It seems I collected everything according to the video, but the maximum dps is 40,000🤔 even the substats are better, I can’t understand why there is no dps like in the video
Great vid, i was trying to build this too but i cant make it work, this vid helped me get some ideas. I have almost the exact same build except for the 4/4 shelterer(i have 3/4 shelterer waiting for the weekly reset) but my frost vortex is dealing 4-5k per tick on the dummy but in this video your frost vortex is dealing atleast 9k per tick! I dont believe that the 4/4 effect would double the dmg of frost vortex that much so what am i doing wrong??!?!?
To each of their own I'd say when it comes to build and I really like this build since its the AOE that I want especially when being swarmed by whole colony of mobs. Have you tried running this build with the frost smg?

your video was posted in july before the august second update where they nerfed the cradle perk "transient impact" could this be the reason?

im a shrapnel build but i love seeing different builds, i love that people are making are different viable builds to play, this one looks fun
Every build is a good build in this game. One of the best early access game with balanced classes I've played.

@AL-qk4xl There's a box in phase 4 or 5 that has shelterer BPs. Otherwise it's gonna take until next season probably to see more stars.

What i d like to try is this Ar together with the Gulped Lore Sniper leaning heavily into ele dmg. The problem: Galore needs some kind of weakspots amplifiers for its max potential. The good thing tho, it is a 1:1 weakspot to UB crit dmg ratio meaning you can deal huge amounts of UB crits without any crit chance. Might be interesting to see that build.
Shrapnel out here catching strays. Banger build tho. LEA getting hard farmed next week!

Man I really wish I had the skills to build a website that actually lets you build your preferred status using all mods weapons and armor in the game so that you can easily see what stats you can have

This build is a lot of fun, other than the fact that some bosses are completely immune to freeze and burn. No wonder everyone play the default shrapnel build, its boring but at least it works. I regret trying to do something fun....
I’ve got both the Abyss and Vortex fully calibrated and have complimentary mods for each respective build type. The ak hits harder but the reload speed is almost as slow as an LMG. The vector handles hordes of mobs easier without needing to reload. Vector also just feels better in PvP with mobility

So the ONLY way to get the Abyss Glance is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 8k Starchrom
The only way to get the Shelterer Armor Set is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 12k Starchrom
The other piece of the Lone Wolf set is through the Wish Machine/gambling. OR pay 3k Starchrom
You CAN earn a lot of Starchrom... But this seems rather excessive to only play it for 2 weeks, if that. Really appreciate the build and ALL of the info you went into! I JUST started to build my Icy Rain build, so this helps a lot too! Not sure if I'll get the Abyss Glance, but this does look like a lot of fun!!
@Mark-nu3us As it is with any legendary piece of gear, whether it's a weapon or armor. This took 3-4 weeks to put together. The best builds in this game take time and materials.
Once you unlock those BPs you have them forever. Any BPs you buy now will be available for you to make again from the get go at the start of the next season.

@shanky.y You can always buy the weapon first and run like a 3 piece heavy duty and 2 piece something else until you can get the full shelterer set.

whats the difference between status damage and elemental damage?
I played F76 for a while (800 hours) and noticed that in this game it is possible to play with a small amount of HP with mods that provide a damage bonus. I'm testing it for now, but I'm curious if any of the UA-camrs will discuss this topic.
@GuardianW1 It's definitely an option, especially with chloroarmor as a failsafe. My main thought on those however, are that there are mods that give you similar/the same benefits while not requiring you to remain under/over a certain % of health. Not to say they're not viable, just not preferable IMO.

@zeecaptein6563 I really wanted to do that but you can only wear 1 key armor, and this build does best with frost tactical vest.

WIll i still do more dmg than the frost SMG if i dont perfectly do the rotation? its just going to cost alot of starchrom x.x the smg having much more ammo seems nicer but ur melting bosses faster than others ive seen so idk what to go with

Is that 90k single target dps? If so thats nuts. I thought my 68k with shrapnel was crazy
topped out at just over 100k but sustained was only around 80ish on average with the current set up. Gonna keep refining until I can keep consistent 90k single target dps.

How do you get about 90-100k dps? I have the same setup and the highest I get is 40k. Is it because you are using multiple dummys?
@david9538 Nope. The multiple dummys are there just to show AOE DPS. You wanna watch your buff timers for things like covered advance and stack vulnerability and your deviant boost.
He is inflating his numbers with bullseye and his deviant powers, before each clip.
I run a sniper stealth build, but when getting pushed hard by npc's I use a frost quad shotgun to control the push. Works good for me.
I've been wanting to try that shotgun tbh
@@Haaaterade I bought it from the wish machine, epic blue print is the only way I know to get this it was 2000 Starchrom I think. the dropped one you can't repair. and it doesn't come in Lego. One more thing I love slapping npc's with the fish. it's Soooooooo funny

i dont understand how u are dealing 80k dps. i been watching this video like 20times, i got the exact same mods. all upgraded, max calibration and i cannot even break 20k dps... the only mod im missing is the weapon mod
The substats are what makes the damage go boom boom, not the main stat of the mods.

bastille 1 piece set effect is kinda nice
Eat raspberry shaved ice for a massive PSI boost.
your last piece should be bastille set since it give 10% weapon dmg when your health is over 70%
That 10% weapon damage isn't going to do much on a full status build, especially over more ammo or a faster reload.
Love that almost all builds are viable. Almost cuz bounce exists. 🤐
Well, the only reason I'm using Shrapnel is cuz the main weapon for it is on rate up at the wish machine this season 🤣
Decided specializing in 1 build and going all in would be better so I bought The Last Valor straight up for 8k, and got all 20 rewards from the Wish Machine. Also bought 3 pcs Lonewolf and there goes my Starchrom for this Season. At least my Gun is 3-stars and the damage increase compared to a 1-star blueprint is actually noticeable.
I have a 1 in 1 assembly - only the modules turned out much better, they all have damage and elemental status, but on a mannequin with all the buffs I deal damage no higher than 28-30 thousand. I can't figure out what the problem is...

@glajah6380 The only abyss change IIRC is adding the hit counter which does nothing other than show you how close you are to hitting a frost vortex. I imagine it will feel exactly the same unless something breaks unintentionally.

The whole 20 hits to trigger frost vortex thing makes it seem bad for exploration or at least not as good as the smg because you have to hit something 20 time. I am able to buy the gun, but I am up in the air if I wanna commit to it or if I just wanna upgrade my power surge rifle.
I love this build and I promised myself to use it on my second character. I am on it and working on it. But where do I find Vortex Multiplier? Is it from Ravenous Hound?

Great video. One question I thought of at 5:25: do the weapon mod effects trigger only if you have it in your hands or do they apply as long as you have it in the slot?
i wonder the same thing ppl ingame told me only the substats are active all the time but the core effect only when actively holding/using the weapon so im not sure if core stat on the tagging gun matters unless u shoot and kill with it

That build is insane! Im currently rocking a Fast Gunner LMG build which lets me shoot non stop and super fast!

Somebody has to explain something to me. I have the exact same gear and mods as the build says. Yet this guy can do around 100K dps with everything and i get around half of that. Ok mods have different sub stats rolls but thats only a few %. Is it rly all about the substat rolls that make such a huge difference?

You have an update for this one yet? I am trying to replace talent mods with resonance for the right roll for element / weakspot dmg if I can find a good roll to potentially get 50-65% element increase on one piece.
Also switching to the Bingo for bullseye for extra dmg.
I found increase Vortex dmg and duration mods for my mask. Mask is probably the best piece for armor. I had the highest dps build on my pve server for frost build during season 1.

So the new patch looks to be nerfing this gun in the form of adding hit counter. Does this change anything for this build at all? Kinda worried now that I invested in picking up this BP and then this nerf drops.
How do you think adding a hit counter will nerf this weapon? I would imagine a hit counter (being added to the other combat counters on the UI) would just show you how many hits you have until your next frost vortex...effectively counting the hits. Like a hit counter does. That's not a nerf, it's just a QOL update.

If you have the heavy duty set you could do a hybrid build with that. I ran a 3 piece shelterer and 2 piece heavy duty for a while and before that 3 HD and 2 agent.
@@Haaaterade I've bought three pieces of lone Wolf , the last valor and gambling took more than I realized. Down to 3600. I'll have to chase down the hidden crates and next week quests maybe I'll have enough. It looks better rounded with the aoe

@@Titansdragon75 there are the hidden crates with legs that get up and run. They give that stellar currency and you can use that to buy a limited number of starchrom chests

Man idk what they did with this patch but my dmg went down by a lot, my body hits do under 500dmg, and weak spots do 888dmg. 10 calibration on weapon btw

Great video, just a follow up on SMG vs KAM frost tho XD. I don't know if I should uprade to this KAM, is it worth it. One downside for me on smg is that even though I dont need to reload it has relatively lower dps than other builds and I constantly just find myself crafting thousands after thousands of ammo
@russlmao7091 It all depends on what you want really. The SMG, IMO, is kind of gimmicky and I'm not the biggest fan. Yea it never reloads but that's about it. The weapon damage is low, range is lower than abyss, and it chews through ammo faster for less damage. Fun for some but I think it's way overhyped personally.

Did the calibration blueprint itself change since this video? After finally getting my hands on that assault rifle precision style, mine has: attack damage +25%, range +40%, and fire rate -10% . The dual elemental damages both have the same ranges of % possible.
Didn't know if the first part of that calibration blueprint has different %'s or weither it got a buff since the video
Bingo be maybe better than Wildfire in case of boss dps?
And i think that frost AK also be strong af in next season, cause in this season cradle you can have only 1 buff to it.

Great vid, i was trying to build this too but i cant make it work, this vid helped me get some ideas.
I have almost the exact same build except for the 4/4 shelterer(i have 3/4 shelterer waiting for the weekly reset) but my frost vortex is dealing 4-5k per tick on the dummy but in this video your frost vortex is dealing atleast 9k per tick! I dont believe that the 4/4 effect would double the dmg of frost vortex that much so what am i doing wrong??!?!?

To each of their own I'd say when it comes to build and I really like this build since its the AOE that I want especially when being swarmed by whole colony of mobs.
Have you tried running this build with the frost smg?
I've tried the SMG and honestly did not like it in the slightest. Personal preference though.
Frost Vortex would be so much better if it could hit high flying enemies :(
