Wrexham FC New Kit : Will they go Vintage or Concept?

- As we all await the New Wrexham FC kit lets have a look at the older kits and some more modern concept designs. Wrexham FC are probably going to go for a more vintage look in a nod to past shirts and that could include blues, yellows or even green colours. Will they add a pattern?, such as stripes, diamonds? Will the away shirt remain the favoured black, perhaps with additional white with a different pattern , for example diamonds, to the current coal face?.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney both have a say in the shirts and it was Rob who fought for the black away shirt which quickly became a fan favourite.
Players seen leaving the ground this week carrying suit bags according to fans on social media alongside photographers and welcome to wrexham film crews. The new kit reveal is imminent!

I love the first concept shirt in Black and Gold 👌
Black and Gold is a real good combo!
The Deadpool tie in shirts were pretty funny, really liked some of the black concept shirts but the one at 3:22 was excellent, maybe the dragon was a tad 'Game of Thrones' but still very good. The home shirts from the early eighties were good as well.
I liked the dragon one but it could have been just a little bit more subtle. The early 8os ones were quite nice. There are a few I like there.
Best options for me: 89-90 A; 94-95 / 95-96 A; 15-16 H; 14-15 T; 2:16 A; 2:34 H; 2:44 H; 3:37 A; 2:53 H (Will sell! But I'd maybe put a 'green flash' (rectangle) on the back on the yellow parts of collar and sleeves, and go with a traditional Wrexham badge with the normal colours instead of the yellow and red)...
Yeah, there are lots of way to customise all these designs. I think the traditional badge with usual colours would improve it too.

Many of the fans’ design concepts are really really good. But doing a Deadpool/Wolverine, Disney and Apple TV design is pushing it plus R&R would need to get them as sponsors. FYI: for all fans in the UK - Ryan Reynolds will be summer guesting, for a week, the late night show Jimmy Kimmel and of course Hugh Jackman will show up. Not hard to guess it will be the week Deadpool comes out as well as the L.A. world premiere at the same time - perfect promo and tie ins as only Reynolds can do. Of course the UK can see the clips of the week’s episodes on YT mere hours after each episode airs in the eastern time zone. It will be a fun week!!😊😊 🇨🇦 Vancouver.

@@WrexhamAFCfanzone The Hollywood trades (entertainment bibles) did mention Jackman will be there also as their first priority is to tease and promote the movie from Mon-Thurs with also attending the L.A. world premiere which would be either Tues or Wed after they finish taping the show by 6-6:30PM Pacific time which gives them plenty of time to get to the premiere specially if it is done at a venue 1 block away down the street or the one across the street. Of course Ryan will reciprocate with having Rob as a guest - Rob was a host last summer and he had Ryan on talking Wrexham (still there on YT). Disclosure: I lived in Los Angeles for 25 years and did spend sometime working in the biz (movie business).
Should be an interesting week of the show. The Deadpool premiere seems to have come around really quickly even though we have been waiting for ages. I watched the If movie last week. I thought it was ok, a bit over sentimental and gushy for me but it had some funny moments in it. They could have made it better. I don't know if really young children would have understood it either, not sure what age it was directed at.
I like a lot of the red ones, so I can't be fussed to pick one out, but my favorite black one is the one at 2:42.

I do hope we would never have Disney as our brand on the kit. that would be a nightmare.

Man, the fan concepts were incredible. I picked the gold center with the reddish sleeves and reddish shorts, the Dragons concept kit, and the pin-stripped kit.
Nice! I like the red one with black stripes or was it red with black stripes LOL Also the Deadpool even though it will never happen.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone, the fan concepts and club interaction for the fans? If so, or even if not, they might think about pulling ideas from the fans. Are there any rules regarding how unique your kit can be in the EFL?
I think there are certain things you have to conform to like size of numbers, the numbers have to be visible.
Hi, welcome back! I was wondering where you were today actually. I had a Stockport fan commenting and thought where's my mate the Mansfield town fan gone! Are you confident for the new season? I've not really kept up with the transfer window on other clubs so don't know if you've signed anyone yet or not.
@@maw0384 I wasn't suggesting they deal with the fans directly; I was referencing the club holding a fan concept contest and selecting a winner. However, it sounds like it's a cookie-cutter program. I am used to college football, where schools roll out multiple jerseys with new designs every year.

Aww f**k it. The info I had from someone from the club is the home shirt is based on one of the old Marstons tops with a white collar and the away kit is black and white diamonds.
Best way, its not worth getting people in trouble.

@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I think I may of been the root of that hint. I’d told FiD guys when I first found out. They used it on a segment in their channel.
Wrexham should stick with red, black, white colors with (maybe) green accents. Interesting there's not been a kit with wider vertical stripes. Those are some of my favorites. Please, no yellow or blue, EVER!
