    Mario: you have hit your ceiling.
    Man, I am not even mad. I'm not. I feel like this is the best we will see from Mario: great recruiter, excellent judge of character and coaching talent. Gets great assistants, gets kids motivated. But he is an average coach at best. He is good for the Pac12. He is good for where he is, but if he was in a good league like any other power five conference? 8-4, 7-5. He exposed himself. And, if he leaves, we can do as good or better.
    I am not worried if he goes. Really, I'm not.
    Go Ducks. I'm a duck lifer. Graduated in 1990, played in the Marching Band. I remember the suffering.

    Utah proved that they were a great addition for the PAC 12. Utah has been tough and consistent since entering the PAC 12. And the most stable team during that time. Since joining they have 8 bowl appearances, 5 bowl victories, 1 Rose Bowl bid, 1 conference championship, 3 10 win seasons, and 4 top 25 finishes. And for the people that will say “well the PAC 12 is soft that’s why a former G5 school has done so good there.” Keep in mind that Colorado came from the Big 12 at the same time Utah came from the Mountain West.

    It wouldn't be disastrous if Cristobal goes to Miami. Chip Kelly set the bar high. Cristobal made a mistake by hiring former SEC coaches to be his offensive and defensive coordinators, but recruiting has never been better. During Cristobal's tenure, teams with inferior talent have beaten Oregon. He should've hired young, up-and-coming coordinators regardless of conference origin. Besides, they would probably stay longer.

    Well sometimes a 10 win season does end in disappointment but the biggest thing is congrats to Utah for being the only other South division team outside of USC to win the PAC 12 championship game. Once they made that QB swap early in the season they were hands down the best team in conference the rest of the year. Oregon biggest problem this year was not having at least an average QB. Brown was a transfer from Boston College. Mario needs to do a better job recruiting and keeping QBs on roster. Obviously going from Justin Herbert to Anthony Brown was a bit of a decline.

    All the Ducks loses were contributed by undiscipline plays and actions, Cristobal should emphasize that on the path moving forward. Also, I don't understand why they play AB at QB; yes, he can run but can't throw. Ducks in the past were phenomenal at running and throwing, what happened? Congrats to the Utes but they will have their hands full with any of the Big10 teams at the Rose Bowl.

    Mario has no confidence In AB's ability to throw the ball down field - maybe there's a reason, he is incredibly inconsistent. With that inconsistent play from AB why did we not see Ty Thompson get a decent chance? Mario has an o line mentality run the ball inside. The Ducks future will be brighter if Mario goes to Miami, he coaches a very conservative game, not fun to watch even when they win.

    For $5M a year we shouldn’t keep hearing “they executed better than us after every loss”. Why did the execute better? What are you going to change? Why did you do the same exact f’in thing that lost you the first Utah game again? A lot of people on that field just quit, why? Bottom line Moorhead sucks, his offense is predictable…the physicality was never there for a full game except for the tOSU game, and in both late season losses…not at all. He talks a good game but backs it up with BS….when you have 4-5* talent on average, the games we won were not cause of coaching…it was because we have a higher talent pool than the other teams…now if Cristobal would have averaged 3* talent like other Pac12 teams then we could easily by 4-8…is the recruiting enough for the Oregon program? Idk. But the on field performance for most the the season should make most people sick. What Utah did to us, or how we played at tOSU, we should have been doing to the entire Pac12 with the level of talent if we had competent coaching.

    Dear Oregon's Ad, use all your Nike money on Chip Kelly or Scott frost as HC and Helfrich as OC or you're losing your job in a couple years.
    AB can't handle pressure and dye thrives on it. The fact that the announcers can see the path to success but the guys paid millions of dollars fielding interviews before a major game can't is why this doesn't work. I’ve never understood his reluctance to change quarterbacks to try and save a game. Even with the PAC-12 championship at stake, he refused to turn to Ty Thompson. AB’s performance was his worst of the year, clearly, and Cristobal rode it to a bitter and embarrassing end. The fans, and especially the players, deserved better. Oregon needs to know what they’ve got in Ty Thompson before he takes a snap against Georgia to open the season next year. Lost opportunities for all of the backup QBs. Unfortunately, Cristobal just cemented his reputation as a great recruiter and poor to average game day coach.
    Now for the really bad news. Utah’s dismantling of Oregon last night shows where the conference power teams are. Utah is a team on the rise, and Oregon can’t compete with them. Oregon State is on the rise. USC and UCLA are bouncing back, and this all means trouble for Cristobal in the next two years. I’m expecting to see some of our top recruits hit the transfer portal. What’s the solution? To start, Cristobal should give the OC more authority with play calling. The Ducks must also learn how to develop quarterbacks. That Georgia game looms and Ty, Butterfield and the others have not gotten the game snaps needed to prepare for 2022. If this season is what we get in 2022, the case can be made for Cristobal to move on.

    Mario replacing Tyler Shough with Anthony Brown will go down as one of the dumbest choices in Oregon football history. I don't see how Anothny could be that much better than Shough. I think Mario didn't like Shough as a person. Oregon replaced Prokup with Herbert when they saw they had to prepare for the future. Now, Oregon will have Ty Thompson next year when they could have been rotating Butterfield and Ty to see what they truly had. If Mario didn't see these issues with Brown during practices than he is incompetent. It's almost as if Mario wanted to tank the Oregon football program.

  • @alta58043
    @alta58043 2 роки тому +1

    If Brown played as bad as he did and didn't get pulled it tells you Oregon better hit the transfer portal hard. The 4-5 star QBs on the bench must be awful to not turn to as pathetic as Brown is at QB. Probably why Mario will bolt to Miami because he already knows he failed miserably on his QB recruits.

    • @tweeddingus2130
      @tweeddingus2130 2 роки тому +1

      Let me ask you this, with Brown playing this poorly today, do you bench him and put Ty Thompson in and risk burning a year of his eligibility just to see if he can spark the offense?
      Personally I feel like it has less to do with Thompson being “worse” than Brown at this point and more to do with trying to keep his redshirt status and give him another off-season of development before turning things over to him

      @@leo8049 Any ducks fan that thinks it’s unreasonable to still be proud of a team getting 10 wins with a brutally beat up roster needs to take a step back and look at the big picture. Our run game took a massive hit when Verdell went down. Losing Johnny Johnson and Jaylon Redd for these last three games also limits the offense. We’ve been banged up and shuffling our o-line for a majority of the season and had to play a bunch of young guys this year. The Stanford loss was bad and shouldn’t have happened, but losing our OC right before kickoff really messed with things.
      10-3 isn’t a great season, but given what this team has endured this year it’s actually pretty remarkable that we didn’t end up 8-4 or worse

    Right from the get-go, AB was a deer in the head lights. Not going through his progressions, staring down his receivers, and over throwing the ball a lot. He seems to be aiming the ball instead of just slingin' it out there.
