Tommy Emmanuel is the greatest guitar player that has ever lived. Technically there is none better. He is one of only 5 guitarists ever crowned “certified” and he’s the only one alive. Unless you’re 50+ and an Aussie you’ve never heard of him. To me, this is criminally underrated. A man who has perfected his instrument. Can put perform even the best and yet no one knows who he is? How unjust. People with zero talent miming the stage, charging you thousands and people drool over them? Standards have fallen dramatically. To become an actor back in the 30s 40s you needed to be able to sing, dance, remember lines and ride a horse. You had to have a range of talents and you better be the best in class. Now, retired athletes can be an actor and people laud them. Standards. In the 1920s you dare not eat in public on the streets. Respect for your environment and people around you. A decline in standards.
I suggest watching Tommy Emmanuel play a cover of “Classical Gas” and then “Angelina,” “Mombasa” and “Guitar Boogie.” Finish with “Those Who Wait.”

What's is the tuning here? I'm thinking about something like EADGad (or I guess you just have to drop the B string). Also I love her acoustic solo performances, I wish she would just release her songs that way, she an already polished diamond on her own, too much production on her albums, but I guess she likes it that way, and it's probably more fun for her to tour and perform with her band. But she should release the demos.
One of my best discovery from the past year, and I just saw her live, it's amazing really! Anyway thanks for the video.
