They don't want unauthorised usage of drones for some of the same reasons you can't just film in the Waterfront and for other reasons. From a legal point, photography is not a crime. What the eye can see private or public is fare game therefore photography cannot be sanctioned. As for the V&A policy on their website, it is simply a request rather than law.

As an amateur photographer myself, using such equipment, we MUST know the laws, rules, and policies of every place we go, no matter where in the world it may be, or for whatever reason. NO EXCUSES! "I didn't know" is NOT a good defense, because it is your responsibility to find out before you go to the place or event.
There have been a couple times that I missed something and was asked to stop taking photos. The solution was very simple. Just stop. Then you can contact the proper people to get the needed clearances. It really is that simple.
As for the lady moving in next to the cafe and trying to get it closed down...
You're not the only ones with such problem people.
Here in the States and Canada, some "privileged" fool will move to a new location without finding out what it around the area. We have had people move in close to an airport that has been there since soon after the Wright Brothers first flew, and try to get it closed down.
Currently, in northern California, there is a new neighborhood that has built up close to Laguna Seca Raceway, which has some kind of something happening over forty weeks of the year. They are now trying to get the county authorities to revoke the race track's operating permits. So far, for the last three years, they had no success. But, as the neighborhood grows, they are starting to get some of their people into county government. And even with all the revenue that is generated by the race track, I fear that these spoiled brat people will soon get it closed down.
Laguna Seca has been there for almost ninety years! This neighborhood.... Only five years.
Red, yellow, black, or white, some people think they are so much better that the rest of us.
The problem is they expect to get the best of everything everywhere they go and the fact is if they carry enough money with them and give the right people, especially in the government or the owners of many land/properties. These people will go ahead and sell these properties without regard for the local inhabitants.they expect everyone to bow to them because unfortunately, some blacks still bow down to these people and treat them so much better than they’re very own other blacks visiting. This needs to stop all of the above need to stop.

I'm white and I whenever I travel to other countries never do I take expensive jewellery,watches etc. I don't buy trinkets in foreign countries that way I don't have any problems because there is nothing to argue about and if customs officials can't tell the difference between expensive and cheap then they shouldn't be in their jobs.
