I was overseas for 3 decades before returning to Africa. The most important thing I learn about sending money home is that, the more you send, the more they believe that there's plenty more from where the money came from, and the more they feel entitled and continue to ask for more. So avoid it because it's a very bad idea.
So about a decade before I returned home, I put an abrupt end to it but I continue to help my mom ONLY, until she passed away 2 months before my return home. My suggestion is avoid sending money to anyone, except your unemployed and struggling parents. Period! Your family freeloaders are generally the most entitled and ungrateful beneficiaries of your sweat.

Thank you Sister, for bringing out the truth. it happens among with Africans, and even with the Diaspora. WE work in Amerikkka, we send money back to Jamaica, Panama, other Caribbean Islands, and it is the same things.... they are always begging. You give, and they still beg. We have to work hard in Amerikkka. YES we make a little more money, but it is a lot of pressure.

The same thing has happened to me from someone who took advantage of me for being honest and then trying to justify it which was immature and pathetic.
One thing I’ve noticed from my experience of visiting the continent 5 times is that people tend to beg all the time and think they are entitled to get money from you for nothing and it is extremely disheartening and is off putting.
What I do find amazing though is that Africans tend to be so religious and god fearing yet they will rob you in a blink of an eye without no conscience whatsoever but what I say is God don’t sleep and that what goes around comes around
I’m not saying that all of Africa is like this but the countries I have been to have been like that and I have a right to call it out even if it helps one person from being exploited then it is worth it to.
Anyone who is going to come for me for speaking the truth can stay quiet because unless the cap fits then they can wear it

HEREIN LIES THE REASON AFRICA IS ON ITS KNEES AND WILL REMAIN SO FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. WHAT IS HAPPENING IS PURE WICKEDNESS AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE GOODNESS OF OTHERS. THEREFORE I GIVE THIS TIMELY MESSAGE TO MY AFRICAN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO ARE THINKING OF RELOCATING TO AFRICA. STAY WHERE YOU ARE BECAUSE IF FAMILY CAN DO THIS TO EACH OTHER WITHOUT CONSCIENCE, THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY CAN DO TO YOU A STRANGE. THE AFRICANS HAVE A LOT OF GROWING UP TO DO. IT WOULDN'T BE SO BAD IF THEY WERE INVESTING THE MONEY, BUT INSTEAD, THEY USE IT FOR HAIRDRESSING AND NAILS, REVENUE WHICH GOES RIGHT BACK INTO NON-BLACK PEOPLE'S HANDS BECAUSE THE FAKE NON-AFRICAN HAIR AND ACRYLICS USED FOR THE NAILS ARE ALL IMPORTED. THIS IS SIMPLY AN IMMATURE MINDSET AND PEASANT THINKING........KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKETS, GOD KNOWS YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD ENOUGH TO GET IT BECAUSE NOTHING IS FOR FREE IN THE WEST.!!

This begging for money problem it's allover Africa continent.
African people we need to develop ourselves and learning to have ability to make our own money.
We should copy from Asians and Europeans people to manufacture or produce goods to sell to the world so that we can earned money.
Our own motto in Africa is to pray to God to give us money 🤑💰 without effort being made

  • @HabitualLover
    @HabitualLover 5 місяців тому +4

Excellent vid, of course. I feel so seriously angry for Sister with the pink scarf. My experience starting out was: advantaged family members pretending we were beggars just so they could put others off giving opportunities to anyone but them. So that's got to be a new one. They were the ones cheating their humble family members also by taking what little you had as if they were a successful expert, and then pushing you out of the picture as a despised nobody. Heeeeh! I'm very frustrated to hear how irresponsible our family in Africa are with the fruit of our slavery in the West (the historic and the modern versions). If only they knew. And they refuse to listen. I hope this is just a growing pain. Because returning to Africa, and restoring a measure of prosperity there has literally been the idea that helped generations of stolen Africans survive the unthinkable, and has made all the isms and exhaustion of the West worth it. I pray Africans' ignorance does not result in us losing our homeland to invaders yet again, all because we refuse to be reasonable with our personal enterprises and resources. Loyalty to each other is the most valuable resource- it stems from deep love!

Your topic is how black people think. My aunt moved to California my uncle, her younger brother moved there after graduation from High school. He was required to serve in the National military. His plan was to save a portion of his pay each month to attend university after discharge from the military. So his idea was to send the money to his sister for a savings upon his discharge and attend University. She spent every penny for partying and drinks for her friends. He was heart broken to learn she spent the money, not saving one dime for his efforts.

This is my second comment to this nice video: I never forget that Africa would have all the resources to have as many lazy lifestyles and children as they want if the West wasn't siphoning the wealth through all it's corporate back-channels. In the West, people who can live like that are called celebrities and heiresses, and no one thinks their chill lifestyle is out of line with the wealth they have to back it up. But it's not even their wealth. That'll never cease to irk me. More than irk- they destroy lives by the continent-full and then act like the people are immoral for existing. The African leaders aren't as utterly useless as they seem. I try to say. Whoever mysterious, powerful individuals who run the West- they are monsters like you barely want to fathom. Unless and until African leaders are ready or able for a nasty struggle, and, huge and, and the people are also ready and willing to put all lives on the line for the push, then it's better for those leaders to take the shady contracts and report to Boss. Do you see what they do to people who push back but aren't strong enough to win? They simply mow down life. I don't want that for Africa.

I think it is important to start calling out the countries, in Africa you are talking about.. Because when you say Africa, it makes all of us look bad. And us in South Africa we are not even a traveling nation. We love our country too much...

A funny thing that I thought about,
    Autosomal Ancestral DNA Tests connect
one with their close to distant relatives who've
taken the tests as well across the 🌐. I'm an
African American who isn't one of the mentally
inept deniers that knew my whole life that I'm a
descendant from the Mother Continent. I was thinking,
what about the similarities and differences, culturally
between someone like me and a cousin in and from the
    Mother Continent❓ 🤔 👀 😆
One thing that I can rest assuredly state is that,
fraudsters, scammers, and not good charactered
people span "the board" of our Species (Homo Sapien
Sapiens = Modern Human Beings), irrespective of ancestral
    ethnicity.

This is terrible what you're saying. But a lot of people corroborate what you describe. Perhaps you do have to cut unproductive members off as soon as you can confirm they are not investing your money. But the answer is to find other reliable partners. Indigenous people need to invest in their country. Foreigners are investing. You can't let the wickedness of family members stand in the way of opportunity. They will learn quickly soon enough that their treachery reaps bitter fruit. You have to go back and build your nation. Don't linger in the West and prop up the fortunes of others. Wow, I don't envy those who leave Africa in order to seek opportunities and share their knowledge with family members only to be stabbed in the back. But you have to invest. Just find better partners.

I THINK it is NOT GOOD to air "YOUR" FAMILY'S "DIRTY" "LAUNDRY" out to the Internet. "IF" you CAN'T GIVE without ANY STRINGS "ATTACHED" or HOW the money will be SPENT; then DON'T "GIVE" IT. And "IF" there is a PROBLEM, then SOLVE it "WITHIN" "THE" "FAMILY". Who wants to HEAR other people's FAMILY PROBLEMS talking about MONEY? I don't.
