  • This was my first time exploring the Sugarloaf region, and specifically wanted to find this little climb. For track locations join the Explore Watagans group on FB.

Nicely driven. Looks like a fun climb. Is it a dead end at the top, and you come out the same way you went in?

yeah it's a dead end - unless on bike

    Hi Glen
Noticed that you are not using KM2's on the front.
How does it affect performance in the field having mixed tires

I reckon it's going to be hard to notice since the terrain is constantly changing. The most obvious difference between the front Geolandars and rear KM2s would be side grip.. so perhaps the fronts will grab a bit more when trying to exit a muddy rut, but again considering terrain, if the rear grab hold of a root or rock that'll instantly flip the dynamic.

@@glenep How do you find the Geolandars?
My experience with them is the rubber compound are softer than the BFG's
I got less kilometers from them compared to my Kumho and BFG before.

Ooh I hope that's true. Reading about them beforehand, the advertising highlighted long life so had me concerned they're a hard compound. Took a gamble on them anyway, since they all promote that. They seem fine so far. Slightly bigger and more aggressive than the KM2s - in this size anyway (255/85R16).
