Lovely video, but we are going to keep saying this until all schools internationally hear this... Montessori has been doing this for 110 years - helping to cultivate the entire child, there is no greater calling!

There is not a single solution for all children.
Even Montessori schools are all different.

I didn't know it, but I have used SEL with my students. Now, I wish that we would use SEL with teachers. Having experienced teachers-bullying-teachers, it is OBVIOUS that SEL is a missing component for some adults as well as for some students.

I really love seeing acknowledgement that schools need to develop the whole student -- not just their academic and technical skills. Great video.

I liked this, and I am also so sick of my district saying “DO SEL” but never giving us the tools or providing a districtwide plan of action or trainings or mentors or a graphic novel handbook. When I could not teach my content during remote learning due to technology issues one day, my principal said, “just do some SEL stuff”.

Character Education... self evaluation, correction and implementation. This is most important in today's society.

This would be a game changer if it were carried through in each school, by every teacher. We would see much more well rounded students.

Thank you everyone who put efforts into producing such an outstanding video. Ideas and strategies mentioned will make a huge difference in students' lives. I am so happy there are people who raise the awareness of the importance of social and emotional intelligences.

Great insight! As a teacher of Theatre it is hard to see so many of my classes being considered "non-essential." Theatre, more than other content area is able to authentically utilize virtually ALL other disciplines as well as authentically build the social and emotional skills that students will need to succeed as they move from high school into college and adult life.

Teaching by example - modeling what to do when making a mistake as well as facilitating discussions and activities on topics of interest are key in any subject area.

If we continue to do what we've always done, we're always gonna get what we've always got. Is that good enough?
    Great video :)
