Sorry, we're a bit behind with videos. Nice to check in with you today! Huge congratulations on your new van. We're looking forward to see where your adventures take you. We can't give you any advice sorry as we haven't a clue! Love George in the vid. Mildred is a proper cat there, knock things off the table! Exciting times guys 🍻
We use Safeguard insurance and Red Pennant breakdown cover (through the Caravan and Motorhome Club). They cover travel in EU countries. We make sure we have cover that includes getting us and the van home if we breakdown or have an accident abroad. When arranging insurance you need to tell them how many days you will be abroad and how many miles you will be doing in a year. Not long to wait for your new van 👏😄❤️
@LifeistooshortCK that's 2 votes for Safeguard! Joining C&M Club is on our to do list so we'll get that sorted before delivery date. Thanks, gang! Hope France is treating you kindly N&Nx
We now use safeguard but not tested them ( don’t want to lol ) Make sure you think how long you will be away ie 30 60 90 days or more in total and also time in one go Make sure house insurance also covers you being away to for the same period We have European breakdown recovery now included Plus we have travel insurance to
We have always used CAMC for our caravan/motorhome insurance. We always use Green Flag for breakdown cover in the UK. When you go into Europe, you really need Red Pennant insurance via the CAMC. We had to use RP when we were hit in Northern Portugal, they were simply invaluable. A little tip here, when in Europe you need to carry some white, red and amber film. If like us you get hit and the lights get damaged, the police love to fine you for having none suitable cover over the light cluster/s. Hence why you need to carry all three colours. The guys at RP told us that. Any insurance company will like to see that you have taken as many precautions as possible to reduce the risk of your pride and joy being stolen. Alarms, tracker, secure storage (if you use it) security posts if on your drive, wheel locks, (your insurance company will best advise you on which ones), a steering wheel lock is always a great idea. One thing to remember is that you only get what you pay for with insurance, our experience in Portugal hammered home the fact that when you are facing a calamity, a great insurance company rides to the rescue. The cheap ones just give you the runaround, avoid them if I were you. Hope this helps. But most of all, enjoy your new van when it arrives.
Morning guys Hope you are both well 😊 Good to hear that it won't change your channel ❤ but looking forward to following your adventures in the van Hope you're having a good week 😊
For our new Consort Pace, we went with Caravan Guard for insurance , and use Green Flag for recovery both home and abroad, Fiat give you Fiat Assistance for breakdown cover for one or two years, enjoy your new van
Ah ha, we'll put Caravan Guard on our list for quotes! We'll have a look at Green Flag too! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to share your experience! N&Nx
Hi guys insurance is a minefield, so lots of quotes and don’t go for it until your questions are answered, we went for a like 4 like policy at a set value, which is expensive but gives us peace of mind, green flag for breakdown cover, and most policy will give you 90 or 180 days European cover included, any other help you need once you want to add bits to your van WiFi solar etc give us a shout and we might be able to help, so excited for you.👍👊🥰🏴🚌
