I honestly don't get why cats' love for boxes confuses so many people. Boxes are super cozy! Seriously, if I had a human-sized box, I'd happily stretch out in it.....wait a minute, I think I just described a coffin.
Hehe, totally! There was a piece of the original script for this video that talked about that, but I deleted it because I didn't want the video to be too long. Here's the piece I deleted: "A study named “If I Fits I Sits: A Citizen Science Investigation into Illusory Contour Susceptibility in Domestic Cats (Felis silvestris catus)” published in 2021, indicates that cats are also drawn to sit in 2D squares. This could be explained by the fact that cats consider shapes with borders as a way to protect themselves from predators or other potential danger." Anyway, thanks for pointing it out and thanks so much for watching! ❤
We have a cat and I wouldn't say she is callmer due boxes in a apartment. She really has high anxiety and tends to try to get outside. But she loves boxes too. Whenever we get a new box, our cat is first to get inside to it. But she also likes boxes in certain areas in the apartment, usually where she can watch birds through window or near radiator. She even asks to get her in to the box and keep her on my knees where she just sleeps and as I put a box away with her inside it, she wakes up. We even got her factory made cat hide outs but this cat just love to hang out in the simple boxes, so we simply gave up of buying expensive stuff.
I have a stray male who visits me and when he came in and saw the ceiling tile box with it's folding fortress rooftop he thought I was trying to trap him. Put it down and a few minutes later he was laying in it, content as ever. He was loving the warmth I could tell.
My cat very likes his transport cage (steel wire) when it stands on shelf top - protection, visibility all around, soft warm cushion and sense of his own property. The best place to sleep or lay and monitor everything. Boxes are notvery attractive comparing to it.
That’s true! There was a video some years ago just showing big cats in big boxes, which was really cute. Maybe in the future we’ll do a video called “Why Do Big Cats Love Boxes Too?” 🐈⬛ Thanks for watching!
not just cats. all animal. you had to try experiment even human children we find box as something cool and you can play hide and seek, or treat it like a den, a cozy house
Just watched her on your channel, she's gorgeous! You did good taking her in, so much joy in one little bundle! Mine is a bit chubby, he's almost 13 pounds! And also another bundle of joy ❤🐈⬛😄
@Somebody_Asked Not bad for Free Cat, is she? 😂 I lived in a poor area so you'd often see strays. First there was Fleabag, she curled herself at me, screaming for food she was so hungry. So I emptied my pocket cat treats for her and on the way back from an errand I picked her up and took her indoors. Flea'd, worm'd, Chip'd and then rehomed as Jess with a work friend's mum. She loved for a happy 15 years being waited in hand and foot. Then Marmite, rehomed with the vet that examined his injured paw the next day. Then came Fuzzbutt, who we had flea'd, worm'd, Chip'd and spayed. Her new home fell through so we kept her as Penny. Didn't cost a Penny Costs us a pretty Penny Pretty as a Penny Is Brown.
@@MostlyPennyCat 😸It's like they say "the cat choses you, not the other way around!" Somehow, if they spot a human that will treat them the way they want to be treated, it'll be impossible to resist! 😂
My cat lets me sleep in the house and lets me drive the car it owns but the box with the fluffy blanket is the inner sanctuary, and once my cat is in the box it turns invisible and you must pretend you don’t know where it is, until the time it will come out for food.
My cat Gracie could care less about boxes or bags. No interest whatsoever. I had another cat like that years ago. I love that all cats are so unique and I never know what to expect!
40 years of owning cats one cat went 21 years. They all loved boxes. Shoe box Tv box cigarettes box I've seen it all. Never understand the reason they are so attractive to cats.
Lol, yes, I agree! But somehow, I feel like my cat also knows my that keyboard, computer mouse, notebook, pens, work desk, my hands, bed, couch, chairs, feet, stomach and face are there just for him! 😄
Because they know they are God's gift to mankind and want to remind us with this simple act😂😂It's also because they are comforting and fun to explore feeding security and prey play needs.
Sorry to hear that, these videos take time, collective effort, money and degrees to make, but it sounds like we need to work even harder to make them better! 🤣 Thanks for the input and the view, tho!
do u really need to ask? did u love toy houses tall enough for you to get in and hide when u were a kid? what about things that you can pull apart and shred? (assuming u don't get in trouble later) it's the same thing

Adults, NOW build yourself a pillow fort, get into it and do not ask stupid questions anymowre. Boxes are pretty much same for cats.
Lol, very true! 😅😹
Cute AND informing video
Thank you :)
Big cats like tigers and lions like boxes too. 🐯🦁
That's true, it's really cute seeing a jaguar or a tiger inside a box too 😅🐆📥

I’m fascinated by how a cat will sit in a square you draw on the floor.

My cats like to get in the big Chewy boxes that their cat food coms in. They all try to get in together. Thank You Chrwy..
Hehe, maybe that's the topic for a next video "Why do cats always want to get in the boxes other cats are already in?" 😅
I’ve always wondered what the fascination was all about. Thanks
Our pleasure, thank you for watching! 😄🐈
😸cats are fantastic
I agree, they are indeed! 🐈⬛❤️
Thanks so much! I've always wondered why, when I buy an expensive bed for my cats, they'd rather sleep in the box. 😸😸
My cat is exactly the same! Thank you very much for watching! 😸

The ninja cat is the cutest 😂
It's not just domestic cats who love boxes. Lions and tigers love them to...

It's because they are the gift lol
Hehe, they sure are! ❤🎁🐈⬛💛

Include me. My apartment is pretty much a box
Cats' brains may be in tune to the fourth dimension.?
Hehe 😅 Sometimes I think so!
My cats don't care about boxes and love lying on the cold basement floor
It's kind of like when a magician draws a pentagram on the floor.
🤣🤣🤣
10 POUNDS?!?
Our Penny Cat weighs 6! 😂😂
She is so wonderfully teeny.
Just watched her on your channel, she's gorgeous! You did good taking her in, so much joy in one little bundle! Mine is a bit chubby, he's almost 13 pounds! And also another bundle of joy ❤🐈⬛😄

"Cats enjoy warmer temps than us".
I must be a cat then (my ideal room temp is 78 F).
I’m the same! 😄🔥🌡️
I think it's because they tend to be born in them. It's like visiting your childhood home.
😅 true 😅 They're going back to the box for Christmas! 🎄🎁
instructions unclear, box is in tatters
🤣🤣🤣

😂 that's one of the best descriptions I've seen of what it's like to live with a cat 😂 Or some cats 🤣
Who can blame cats for loving boxes?
I can't!

@Somebody_Asked you're welcome 🥰🌸
They all want to be Schroedinger's cats so they have to be in a box
Probably because cats think boxes are there just for them
