- Today is our last day of full sunshine for a while so enjoy. Clouds move in tomorrow with some arguably milder air, but the haze will remain. A mild atmospheric river will punch into northern Utah Saturday bringing valley rain and mountain snow. Showers could continue into Sunday but not every model is on board with the idea, some shift the rain band to the north. For now keeping showers in the forecast Sunday, but Saturday is definitely the wetter day. Due to the warm nature of this system we'll likely see wet water-logged snow accumulation in the mountains predominantly above 7,000FT with snow levels reaching 8,000FT at times. Potential totals: Valley rain .25-.75", mountains north of I-80 12-24", mountains south of I-80 6-12"+. The plus sign is due to the uncertainty on how Sunday will play out due to model discrepencies, if that band stays south then the totals will be higher! - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 1.30.25
