I have the IR-X. It's a sick pedal! I found by bypassing the IRs going straight into the effects loop of a real amp and cabinet, it really shines! In addition, I thrown a Fortin 33 in front of the Friedman IR-X to help boost the signal. It created a sound that I did not know that I needed... All these are staying on my pedal board for a long time! Lol I'd love to try a real BE-100, but it's a tad expensive.
Depends on what people want. Some people want actual tubes, and this in a lot of ways like distilling an amp down to a pedal board, which will appeal to some people for sure. It certainly does sound and feel good, but for the people that'd rather have a modeler that's totally valid as well. Just different strokes is all.
@TheDVM1 I get your point but what touring act is using a modeler that's a fraction of $600? I can understand if you're starting from scratch and don't have a collection of effects but this seems to be more aimed at just replacing your head and integrating it with your existing board.

sick playing sounds so good
Thicc. Sounds great, nice job.
Does the IR-x have more gain? Nice playing 👊
I don't know cause I haven't gotten to use the IR-X but I suspect not
@MetalHeadProductions thank you
From the videos with both to me it seems like it does but not dramatically. The J seems more open and aggressive, the X more polished
Yo what kind of pickups are those? Dimarzio what?
Yeah I say in the video, RZK Fishmans
I dont get it for $600 you can get an amp or modeler that sounds just as good or better. why pay that much for a pedal.
Because it costs a fortune to tour with a big amp head these days

@@gabrielstevens41 I get that but like I said you can get a modeler for a good modeler for a f raction of that price.
@@MetalHeadProductions fair enough. I just dont get it. But I am a bit of a cheap ass lol.
