Superb playing Ross ,March Lorraine is one of the best performances I have heard, the cornet opening so crisp and tight at a good tempo, for me lot of bands fail on this opening. My favourite on this Lp is March of the Pacemakers by Gordon Langford and the Old Pops arranged by Jiggs Jaeger
My mother was born on Sunday 11 August 1929 to the tunes of this march "Marche Lorraine", which was played on a Limonaire fairground organ.
That was always claimed by my grandfather, who was a fairground traveller and died in 1964.
Royal Air Force. The clue is in the name. Very British
29:14 Franz von Suppè, not Supper.
@@kurtgodel5236 apologies for the typo. Will correct soon
@@rosconorth Much appreciated.

Sorry, but German Air Force is called BUNDES-LUFTWAFFE and is NOT a 'Royal' one.
😊♍🇵🇱
Nuh, this was probably composed in Germany by a British RAF Band
@@katmanna350f At the time there were six RAF bands, the Central band, the Western band, the Southern band, the band of the RAF regiment, the band of the RAF college and the band of the RAF Germany. In 1985 nineteen members of the Germany band were killed near Langenbruck when the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck full of aviation fuel whilst they were enroute to an official engagement in Bavaria.
That isn’t even true, it’s called „Luftwaffe“.
It was The Band of the Royal Air Force, Germany. So it means the RAF "in" Germany. Thd Band was disbanded in 1994 or 95.
@@arminoechler7645 Whatever it was, was very good. Like most of military bands worldwide. The Force (RAF) are very good too. ♍🇵🇱🇬🇧👍
