U are a fantastic teacher! Thank u so much for the instructional tutorial & tips. I'm into bag making but came across ur videos & I enjoy it very much that I just had to subscribed
The reason the fabric does not get sucked down at the beginning of your stitching a seam is that the feed dogs have something to grab when you place the scrap under the presser foot. This method also is great for piecing quilts.
My sewing team has been making fleece hats and mittens for 5 years. Make sure the head piece is also a double layer. All of our hats are reversible. I also live in a cold climate.
Can this pattern be used with washed/felted 100% wool flannel fabric? I have tons and tons of the stuff and I was thinking of making things for the winter for charity including homeless. I'd also appreciate any ideas you might have for this purpose. I've already made many scarves out of felted, soft wool fabric with edges left raw (It won't unravel) and mock fringe about 1/2" wide cut with shears on both ends. Thank you so much for the great tutorials.
I love working with felted wool sweaters. You could use the felted wool if it has a lot of stretch to it. I do have a hat pattern that I use felted wool sweaters. If you give it a go, let me know.
I just discovered you and thank you for this pattern. PLEASE Can you give me an idea on materials and measurements for a toddler size hat. I would be so grateful.
Hi, is this pattern only for patreon members. I tried the link .... access denied. Tried your shop on your website..... access denied. I can't even look at your free scarf pattern. I am not sure if it is settings on my side. Anyone out there with advice? Thank you.
Hi, I was able to just click on the link and was taken to flap hat pattern but it costs $7.25, is not free. It does take about 20-30 seconds to show up but only the site to buy. Nothing said denied.
The pattern is also available in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/listing/1302688240/fleece-earflap-hat-pdf-pattern-sizes?click_key=a16d7ec4501caead8098bbdc526ed593252f710d%3A1302688240&click_sum=a10ec3ed&ref=shop_home_active_5&sts=1
Suggestion, for future videos show the item longer at the beginning than in this video and in better detail before getting to the tutorial portion. I was confused at what you were making.
Hi Jan. I ordered your fleece earflap hat on Etsy and I was so excited to start sewing it as I want to give it to my grandson at an upcoming party. However, I was not able to print it because my printer is not working for some reason. Is there any way you can mail to me the pages with the pattern, I already have the instructions on the download from Etsy. I just cannot find a nicer pattern than yours. Thank you.
Gracias a Dios pude encontrar este canal tan maravilloso con enseñanza bíblica la cual es la historia universal de los tiempos
From one teacher to another, .....great job! WOW, the "pink" fabric is showing as Brught red on my Samsung tablet and TV.

@@JanHowell Thanks for your advice. I'll try it but woven wool flannel fabric doesn't really have any stretch the way felted wool sweaters do.
Love it thanks for sharing 💖

My pleasure
I forgot to mention I am more than happy to pay extra for shipping on that pattern.

Fantastic..thanks Jan. 👏How come you can use your rotary cutter without the green mat 🤔? 💐
The white cutting surface you see is actually a very large plain white cutting mat.

Sorry for the delayed response! Email me at fibersandtwigs@gmail.com and we'll work something out. I hope it's not too late.
Can you use an overlock foot and stitch on a regular sewing machine for fleece?
Yes.
Thank you 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Where is the pattern.
@@alejandrav.elias-jimenez2883 you can find it in the description
If I use sticky Velcro it breaks my needle & makes it sticky. How do you alleviate that??
That is a great question! Sometimes I have the same issue. I am going to research that one.
where do I find PDF of your fleece ear hat patterns
youmakeitsimple.com/product/fleece-earflap-hat-pdf-sewing-pattern-sizes-infant-adult-large-7-sizes/
I would like a hat like this that does not cover my forehead. Like a large adult size babybonnet.
That would be nice.
At 13:00 you said not to sew the sides. I wish my brain had picked up on that cuz now I am seam ripping the Z stitches. ha!
Sorry about that
Sponsored advertisements, paid affiliate for products used and have to pay for the pattern. Just sayin....for me, unsubsribing.
