    The song's name is not Dont determine my life, it's Born For A Purpose, by Dr Alimantado. Sometimes known as Reason For Leaving.
    Both the original and Chrissie's versions are great!

    Love these women, how awesome they performed together. Letterman cringy as usual, never liked how he treats the women he's interviewing.

    Thanks so much for sharing this clip & song. I've never seen it before & love them both. I wonder if this is an original song written by Chrissie and k.d. lang? That was a treat to watch & hear. :o)

      It's actually "Born For A Purpose" by Dr Alimantado & The Rebels.

    Seems like Letterman got pissed when instead of answering his question about her boots, Chrissie said "Can we talk about the project? Isn't that what we're here for? After that, the interview seemed rather cold.

      Right, I thought it was a terrible interview. Letterman could be sort of trite. Chrissie doesn't put up with any shite. Loved the song- their vocals are great together.

      Yeah, Chrissy’s tough. I’ve seen enough of her interviews she doesn’t put up with much.Dave was just doing what he does making conversation and moving on but she was having none of it. I think she just likes to play music and everything else is
      Wasted time. That being said ,I love her. She really does make every song special

      @@DizzyKizzy64 what are you listening to. They don't give k d the sound that you could hear her. Only Roy, and Tony let her voice come through

    • @PaulZink
      @PaulZink 5 років тому +1

      KD doesn't mind. At Roy Orbison's famous 1987 "A Black and White Night" concert at the Coconut Grove in LA, she sang backup vocals along with Bonnie Raitt and Jennifer Warnes, and all those three sang was "She bop, sha bop…" every now and then.

    This is so boring, if I kept listening I'd fall asleep. Get a life people, listen to Middle of the Road by Pretenders
