This is really fascinating, I hope one day if possible y'all can make a video more on the techniques used and how they are unique to Korean Lacquer and what makes them different to normal techniques etc as I find it really interesting and it never hurts to spread the knowledge!

Why aren’t the Korean conservators talking in this segment?

I assume you mean why we can’t hear them - but we don’t hear the non Koreans either - and in some places not the speaker as they are just filming them collaborating. If you mean why are they not speaking on a Korean subject versus a white woman - maybe it’s her video, or her department that she manages, or maybe she is the group’s spokesperson. Seems like sorta of a weird question and without really knowing where your thoughts are - many videos of this type may have lots of folks in the video doing something in and around the activity, but they don’t speak. Say a video on glass blowing - just the main artist speaks but not any of the crew who are working just as hard but they aren’t the artist being interviewed or featured. Same with a gallery doing a show with many works being displayed - the gallery owner or manager might be doing a video showing each group of works but each artist wouldn’t be speaking - unless it’s an artist interview video. Hope that makes sense.
