I greatly admire the persistence and hard work that these masters have developed for so many years dedicated to their task. I hope one day to know this type of high quality work in person.
I just watched asadora drama "mare", and found out about wajima lacquerware amazed by the whole process of making it. and also amazed by the cast because of the same dialect on them. My first asadora drama that i finished and wanna watch all of it💓

Harmony is substantial for the daily life of one person, this should start watching the rising sun on the horizon, and after walking for a not land flat and hard. All that your feet receive from the Earth is energy that go for all your body, and with the composition of the little pieces of nature when this have the man like center then you can feel in harmony with the environment. being a japanese Australian and presently working in china , I have discovered Japanese among the chinese and Koreans are the most dedicated in producing and maintaining tradition craftsmanship and still doing to with honesty, passion and love. japanese people are very mindful and dedicated and have lots of patience - amazing race.
I don’t think that they are working together. As for buying the products, I would suggest buying only from Japan and only from reputable dealers. It’s a very long laborious process, so the real thing is probably pretty expensive. Getting something used would likely be a lot cheaper.
I damaged my Japanese lacquerware bowls in the dishwasher. We’ve been using the bowls for soup. Are they safe to use in food with peeling off coating? Or just throw them out?

I wouldn’t use them if the lacquer is peeling off. The urushi comes from a poison ivy type tree and is known to bother skin.
I bought a pair of chopsticks in Japan and they are out of this world. Sad that the craft is being replaced by mass-produced garbage..
