Eurobodalla Green Waste

One wet and rainy Thursday back in January I found myself making my way to the suburb of Surf Beach in hopes to capture both green waste units 1614 & 1621 ran by Cleanaway in Eurobodalla Shire. Upon arrival I spotted 2 general waste trucks finishing their final stretch of road before heading 200m up the road to empty their first load. Not long after I laid eyes on unit 1621 turning off the main road into a long dead ender full of units packed with green waste. After a quick chat with the driver I got the all clear for grabbing some videos. He told me he spends majority of the day working alongside the other green waste driver moving from area to area. On this particular Thursday they commenced pick ups in Sunshine Bay before moving over to Denhams Beach, and finally concluding the load in Surf Beach.
These 2 trucks spend the first part of their day cleaning up all the green topped bins before heading over to help another commodity, more times then not it’s garbage. If you go back to my previous video of the garbage pick up in Eurobodalla you will spot these two trucks making an appearance at the end cleaning up the last street of garbage for the day.
It’s clear they opt in for a ‘tag team’ style of collecting down here in Eurobodalla. I could imagine with the sparsely spaced suburbs on certain days this would work much more efficiently.

I recognised a few streets around the bay. Canning drive was easy, as my daughter goes to the daycare at the other roundabout. Nice footage, relaxing.
