Michkov has a terrible character, he fought with a teammate in training, the contract is until 2026, and here is a ready-made defender for the NHL, look at the distances, but I am sure that this choice is good and Michkov will be the second Yakupov

The Flyers were so lucky to get him over to North America before his KHL contract expired. I’m really excited to see what he can do in the NHL.

@@logant9546 I’m a huge Islanders fan. They signed the top European free agent this past spring Maxim Tsyplakov. He scored 31 goals in the KHL last year. The great thing about this signing is that he will be under team control after this upcoming season so hopefully he’s not a one and done situation. Tsyplakov shared that he has found an apartment and he will be bringing his wife and daughter to North America when he met with the media. The Islanders have a couple of significant contracts coming off the books after this season so if Tsyplakov does very well, they will give him an extension.
I’m so happy about this, man. I don’t care at all about the KHL contract. We’re going to be very bad for the next 2 years at least. I don’t mind waiting at all for a potential generational talent like Michkov. This was great on the Flyers part.
Flyers are gonna be stacking up on high end talent until he gets here too. Sanheim, DeAngelo, Hart, Konecny, and Laughton can still get flipped for assets too.
Amen to that. I have not been this ecstatic about a Flyers draft pick since Lindros. I was 11 years old back then! I’m 42 now. It’s been a looong time since I was this hyped about a draft prospect.

Парень талантливый и в принципе у него есть всё, чтобы заиграть в НХЛ. Контракт я думаю он не доиграет, возможно через год приедет.

@@aggresif8491Never heard anything bad about his character or fighting a teammate, so I am not sure where that is coming from. I have a feeling that is just the media blowing things up because he is Russian.
The Flyers are rebuilding, his KHL contract really doesn't matter since they will need to stay at the bottom of the standings to get more talented prospects during that span.
Yakupov 2.0 remains to be seen, but I highly doubt it. This is the best prospect out of Russia in a long time. In his draft year in the KHL, Ovechkin had 3 more points than Michkov did in 26 (!) more games. This kid is a stud.

I predicted the flyers moving him to a team rebuilding so they can make themselves better in the future. That was until Michkov said he wants to be a Flyer, who knows now

He might be a 140 point player one day, but the risk involved with Nationality pushed the other potential 100-120 point scorers one step ahead. Fantilli, Carlsson and Smith look like they will all be superb franchise players. Also the fact that the other ones were centers is something to think about.
Montreal Arizona probably made mistakes though.
