- Last February, I had the chance to spend a couple weeks at ICP Studios in Brussels, to record my 3rd album. Here's some footage of my life there :)

Nice seeing the behind the scenes at the studio. The first seconds took me back you my youth in 1980. I would love to play that Xenon pinball machine (far right) during breaks of recording.

Très surprenant cette méthode d'enregistrement. Faites gaffe à la cristalline. 😅finalement ça me paraît plus simple que je le croyais. Après c'est vrai qu'en concert, vous avez moins droit à l'erreur. Rien ne vaut le direct ,mais je pense que c'est un détail pour vous.
Ce qui m'étonne c'est que laura avait créé l'album plus ou moins seule, et quand je vois le studio avec ses potes ??? Pas grave le résultat est là. Et pour moi c'est une réussite.
Alors bonne route madame Laura Cox .😊je viens de me relire un mois après ; rien à ajouter .

The treatment of studio rooms are so evident in this. Listening to the change in dynamics of the room as soon as the door closes (01:10) , so magnificent.

Interesting film Laura, I could have watched plenty more of this. Some lovely guitar parts you were playing. Must be strange singing an isolated vocal with no musical context but you were not phased. The studio is very impressive.

Perhaps in the same way that Americans forgot their "own" jazz music and it moved to France and Germany, the blues has moved to France and Belgium after a long British chapter. Meanwhile, I am entranced by French composers from approximately la belle epoch and a bit later. The mystery and international nature of music is so endlessly enriching.
Thank you for the wonderful tour of your album progress sounds like it'll be a good one. Just hope people realize this was from February. What happened to the Laura Cox Beer 🍺 is it all gone 🤔 Nice shirt Mat. Looked like a great place to record at ICP.

C'est grandiose, ces salles. Quitte à être enfermé et complètement concentré, autant l'être dans des lieux accueillants. Il est vrai que nous sommes en 2022 et j'imagine que tout s'est modernisé.

Je suis peut être le seul mais j'espère qu'on aura droit à une chanson en français, non pas que je n'apprécie pas les titres en anglais mais c'est tellement rare du Rock Français 🙃😄
