I learnt more about landscape photography from these 3 clips than I will ever learn by watching your standard "tips" video on UA-cam. Great work. Inspiring.
Really great 3 videos. Inspiring and it brings you down to earth when you see the precision, attention to detail and meticulous nature of the photographer to all details - technical and natural. Thank you!
you are such an inspiring photograph! your images are breathtaking really! i learnt so much about landscape photography and it's true soul! thank you so much...
Simply stunning, I have watched a lot of tutorials and have gained a lot, but you are in a whole new league. Your images are just stunning and an inspiration. Thank you.. I only hope I can one day get close to what you are able to achieve..
I really enjoyed this 3 part series of videos. Keep up the good work. I am subscribing. This really helped me with my understanding of the importance of lighting and the post production for the coloration of the images. I find Joe's patience for the shot very inspiring and I will be looking to do the same with my D800! Thank you!
Hi Ivan, The way the video works means that the blacks don't show as full dense blacks and matt paper exacerbates that. If you saw the image behind glass in real life you'd see something more like the image you see on screen.
Your work and input is much appreciated but I noticed that the on-screen image is better that the print image, which looks flat. Do you have an answer?
He said it was just a proof print, and it looks like it's printed on matte paper. If he were producing this to sell or to exhibit I'm sure a much more high quality paper would be used which will improve the way it looks.

Obviously the photography is out of this world. I am a little curious as to who/what the music is. It is also extremely beautiful.

Great series!!! Did you use the 45mm Phase One lens or the Schneider Kreuznach lens.
Your work and input is much appreciated but I noticed that the on-screen image is better that the print image, which looks flat. Do you have an answer?
Joe prints on matt paper for his exhibition work because once it is behind glass the Dmax gets a lot better and you don't have duplicate reflections.
