- This tutorial will show you how to make scratch off cards! This these DIY scratch off cards make a great last minute Father's Day gift card. It can be customized for other holidays as well. It can be made into a birthday card for friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, family, etc. The DIY scratch off tickets have hidden messages underneath a layer of silver. Scratch off the silver with a coin to reveal the "jackpot!"

Here’s a comment of why you should try that this actually works and you don’t actually need to have cardboard paper you definitely need tape the tape is definitely on the table as long as you have tape it works works or some type of hard material maybe like a table or something I’m pretty sure it will still work work if you wrapped around the paper saying that because you can’t really write on tape but I don’t know because I tried it myself and it was so cool But I think the best thing about it is it super easy it takes a wild to dry but it’s a really cool experiment if you want to try fun fun

Cool idea! Maybe mark on the back which side is up or down in case they get turned around somehow or you drop it.

Does the paint have to be metallic or can it be any paint?
It can be any color you want! I used silver because that's the "usual" color. Maybe I should make another one with rainbow colors. :)

how long does it take for the paint to dry? And, how many coats does it take for the message to be fully hidden? thank you! I love your idea!
you have to put at least 3 coats, well that was for me, and then it took about 7 mins for 1 coat to dry.
