I have the aqua special edition Sidekick, from some years ago. I really love it. It was my first die cut machine and I still use it to this day. The kit is exactly the same, only the colour is different. I think a small machine like that is very useful. I have a Big Shot but 99% of the cutting I do, is done on with the Sidekick. It is small, so it is easy to have on the shelf next to me or on the desk all the time and it can take most of the Sizzix dies. I think, a very large portion of the Tim Holtz dies also fit in the Sidekick! It is a lovely machine!
I have a sidekick and absolutely love, love it. S It's a little work horse and since I got it I use it more often than my Switch or Platinum or Big Shot. When I have a small die that needs cutting or find I just need one more leaf or piece of something, I don't need to use my big machines. I just love your demos Pete!!
I’m waiting for my sidekick! It’s white, but has the same stamps, etc. I have already found some dies that fit on Amazon. You just have to read dimensions carefully!❤
Love my very old Sidekick. I bought mine before the "new" plates came out for the thin dies. I have literally sat for hours with it cutting flower layers & other small pieces. Maybe I'm due for a new color😊
I have a foldaway, and a sidekick. The foldaway lives on a shelf and gets used for the big dies and embossing folders, but the sidekick lives in my craft cart so I can take it with me to the couch or wherever. I have some dies and stamps I use very often (tiny envelope, some flowers and leaves, a few of the lawnfawn minis like the puffins and the hedgehogs,...) those stay with the sidekick because they fit perfectly.
@@sizzix Yes, absolutely. Especially since I managed to misplace the platform of the foldaway when we moved.... Of course it turned up again.. The day after the new platform I ordered arrived *lol* (I was smart enough to order the extended platform, so I don't have two of the same hanging around :-D )
Bummer! I wish I could have seen this before I purchased a different company's small die machine. I had a Tim Holtz side Kick that gave out and couldn't find another Side Kick to replace it. The Side Kick s great! It is sturdy, stays in place nicely, and has short strong plates that don't warp and take a minimal time to get through the machine, which speeds up cutting.
Spotlight in NZ has this today for $100… I’m so happy cos I was looking for the last 2+ years for a cheaper small die machine to replace my cute but crappy Spellbinders Prizm (well known problem of the plastic gears that crack easily and no replacement or customer service on it, it was obviously also quickly discontinued, but I fell in love with it for the few times it worked before then!)…..but sidekicks were the thing a couple years back here and were too $$ (and now even cheap China ones are over $100, certainly not “cheap”)… and not really something I wanted to pay when I already have a SnC and a Bigshot as well… but… I couldn’t resist this cute pinky for $60 ‘cos I loved having a small die cutter for the short time I did and this has great reviews!
I bought a sidekick like 5 years ago and it broke a year later, a piece of metal fell out the bottom where the suction is, I ended up buying a Tim holts sidekick, but I wasn’t too impressed with it. I then bought a big shot plus and I was very disappointed because my intricate dies didn’t cut no matter what I tried.
Hi there, the item number you are looking for is 661769 www.sizzix.com/products/sizzix-sidekick-accessory-cutting-pads-1-pair-aqua or 664235 www.sizzix.com/products/sizzix-sidekick-accessory-cutting-pads-1-pair-black-by-tim-holtz. These will be available online or in-store at selected retailers. Thank you
Thank you for replying. How come the clear ones don't work? I purchased a pair of spares in clear but they're too thin foe this sidekick. Just out of curiosity.
Hello, 3-D folders aren't designed to work in the Sidekick as the sandwich of layers with the cutting pad would be too thick. 2-D folders up to the width of the opening of the machine are fine. Thanks
I have the original red one and I’ve had it for years. It comes in so handy for small dies and repetitive work. But, I will not be purchasing another one just because it’s an exclusive color. The Color doesn’t make it work any better or any worse. I think I’ll save my money for other things.

Thank you. This really helped me have more ideas with my Sidekick ♥
I love the colors of this side kick. I have two big machines already The manual Big Shot and the Switch electric machine.

So pleased you're enjoying your smaller machines - they really do come in handy for smaller dies and quick crafting!

This is a great color!!!
love the colour of this machine. Great products with it too. Love your demos Pete. xxx
I bought the white Sidekick starter set a few months ago. It’s my first die cutting machine and I love it 😊
This color is delicious!! I had to have it! 🎃
Saaaaameeee!😂
Love the size. Perfect for smaller projects. Great presentation!

Ok thanks
Where do i go to register my sidekick machine for the two years warranty.
Hello, we no longer require registrations for warranties, just keep hold of your proof of purchase. Thanks
