Great to see this discussion of Mem. Srini is an advanced Mem user, so what lot of what he demonstrated may go over some viewers’ head. But Mem AI really allows to users to build a personal language model that interacts with their content. Its AI has both a Chat format and inline format, which means with the latter you can ask it to complete sentences, revise or transform a note, and filter information. What I like most is how easy it input content. Mem works best the more you feed it content.

I really want to find out more about the ethical issues / training material used, the energy usage ( server energy usage etc)
Also - security and whether it can be used/ saved off-line

The links all lead to a 404 page ... Please fix !
The link Srini provides to get a "custom plan" does not actually send you a custom plan once you fill out the airtable form.
I love the ideas and topics presented here, but have a really difficult time considering giving this guy (Srini) money when most of what I see him do is broken, or at the very least, has such little attention to detail in what he produces.
I'm just getting 404 error codes on his links and his email newsletter sign up has a broken zapier connection 🤔

It's likely that ChatGPT and its leading competitors will integrate this functionality soon.
This seems cool at first glance but I don’t think it would be different with any competing tools. When the interactive mem is run, answers from Tiago would just write to the dialogue at the bottom of the template mem. I don’t think any content is updated anywhere from Tiago’s inputs. So you just create a new mem each day and the chat records under the script or I’m missing something. I even signed up for mem but it seems more basic than i thought this was presenting. Hmmm
Yeah, most PKM apps have AI capabilities these days. In Obsidian you install a plugin and use ChatGPT or other models and it'll also use your vault as the context for your responses and output in a format similar to what we see here.
@@Gigusx that's exactly what I do, it' is great. Smart Connections reads from embedded indexing on your vault, multiple-note references, and even summary from dataview quieries (it sends prompt post-query-rendering). I can't even get Notion AI to read from tables. Yet :)
Those who can ask good questions love AI. Those who think AI is useless lack the ability to ask good questions.
Automating tasks with today's AIs without detailed proofing of every step usually does not work.
I hate how distracted Srini Rao is.
He is an introvert creative you just have to get used to it
