Saunders then vacates the WBO 160 belt in which Andrade picks. Canelo vs Andrade talks mentioned for undisputed then IBF strips Canelo at 160. The Canelo decided to make his undisputed run 168
Yep, Andrade would often lie to cover his ducking tracks and hype himself as avoided. He rejected career high money to defend against Mell and went MIA and got stripped. Canelo challenged champ Liam Smith over 2 years after Andrade's only activity with the belt. And no, the belt wasn't vacant, Liam Smith was the champ attempting his 3rd defense which was more than what one and done Andrade did with it. And he lies about Canelo rejecting supposed $40M to unify with Andrade at 160 when it was never on the table. The IBF stripped Canelo after talks with his mandatory Derevyachenko broke down (Derevy was rejecting career high money) and they rejected Canelo's request to unify with Andrade instead. So Canelo moved up to fight the bigger and more proven champs. It was Andrade who rejected his mandatory title 168 shot (and also refused to defend against his 160 mandatory challenger) just to be inactive for a year then turn up against a random journeyman on an undercard.
@@Johnnysauve canelo was mandatory for andrades belt at 154 but he did not want the title shot at the belt while andrade held the belt but then when liam had the belt he wanted the title shot
