Rusty Crusty Roadside Table Makeover!

- Check out this table I built from a free, rusty & crusty metal table base I found on the side of the road! I kept the rust for an industrial look and built a new wood top by joining 2x12s and a 2x4 with my Kreg jig and then cut it into a circle using my router.

Wow, didn't expect it to come out that good.
Love the extender wood color with the light pine color!!!! Gorgeous!
I find it amazing you used all those pocket screws and were able to avoid hitting any of them when cutting out the circle! Great job!
Yeah, I went a little overboard with them. If you notice, I laid them out so that they would be clear from the router. The first time I tried this a while back, my pocket holes ended up really close to the edge, but I got lucky that they didn't show. This time I made sure to give them plenty of space from the edge.
the upright reminds me of a pipe in an abandoned factory! This is an awesome build!
Yeah, the whole base looks like that. haha
Pretty cool
Another great video man!! I love watching your videos as you take things people will throw away or don’t want and make it into a great piece that’s usable and sellable.
Looking good
thanks!
U should make some table design with epoxy. Maybe gold epoxy with white coffee table.
awesome!!
Beautiful. I love the color variation of the top. Great job as always.
Thanks!
Nice work!!
looks great!
thank you!
Glad you're back posting vids. You are very artistic, talented and crafty!
thanks! I try to do new, interesting video projects, but I got a little burned out and took a break to work on some other projects.
Awesome makeover.. The table top came out really nice.
thanks! glad you liked it
Love it!
thanks!
Patina: I didn't feel like doing the rest of the work
nice!!
thanks!
I wanna be you when I grow up. And find awesome stuff just on the side of the road.
I have a hard time passing up things like this on the side of the road. As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.
MrDiyDork I'm jealous! I never find anything on the side of the road. I need to research what day is trash day 😜
Cool table, very nice build. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, what do you use at 8.43 for blowing the sawdust away?
I need something similar (but smaller) to do the same in my shop (I do not have a compressor)
I just used my leaf blower. A compressor with a little air gun attachment would work great too.
Lov the top, I will stop there. You did a great job but there is no way I would have that in my house or yard.
What would or did u sell it for. Great pc btw!!!@@@
I haven't listed this one yet. I'm not sure how much I'm going to ask yet.
You weren't wearing the safety approved croc's featured in so many of your other videos. :)
nope. lol. Just my trashed out slip on "work" shoes.
Nice project, I think that the video is too long... 👏
Yeah, it got a bit too long. I shot it over several days with a few days in between parts. It's tough to gauge how much I've shot as I'm doing it. I usually try to go a bit shorter.
It's not too long, just right. We want to see how you do it, not just that you did it.
