Whether you are getting ready for beach season, maxing out your bench press, or simply putting on shoes, your core muscles come into play. Contrary to popular belief, the core doesn’t just include the abdominal muscles. It also consists of muscles in your back and pelvis. While performing an exercise you saw some dude with a six pack doing, you might hear a snap or pop coming from your hip, but no pain associated with it. This noise, formally known as crepitus may be more noticeable when you are doing one specific exercise like a sit-up, V-up, or other intense core movement. Does this mean there’s something seriously wrong? Or could this be completely normal and no cause for concern? I am going to answer these questions from a scientific perspective.

Thanks man, just read your article. I had a severe hip flexor strain on my left side back in November that i just fully rehabbed in March. Was doing decline situps the other day and felt the side that had the injury popping. Gonna try your advice and see if I can get it to go away.

My wrist pop regularly, is it bad? It would be awesome if you make a video talking about that

Hey I’ve got a question. Maybe a video idea for you. When using the bench press on the up stroke, I have a pop in my elbow that causes temporary numbness on the bottom half of my forearm. Any thoughts man?

    Hey, I have two questions:
What do you think about the relevance of genes in terms of building up musles?
How long is an optimal workout in the gym to get the best gains?

      1) genetics absolutely plays a role. some find it easier to build than others
      2) Depends on your goals and time availability

You should use an animation of the situation of the hip. Not just random fuking images and videos eith out context
