I was a little surprised you didn't use any antiseize compound on the spark plug. I'm assuming the head is aluminum, but perhaps it has a steel thread insert, so no dissimilar metal. Nice video, thanks.
Did you remove the engine completely, or just slightly drop it, by disconnecting the rear shocks? I had trouble dropping the engine and being able to see the valves properly, making the task much more difficult..
@@chippygc I haven’t done it yet as when I was doing the exhaust the bolts snapped and I had to order new bolts so I’m a little behind. It’s been a major project as I resprayed the whole thing. But as soon as I do it I will reply here and let you know how I get on. But I will be dropping the engine slightly and not removing it completely. Speak soon Graham 👍🏼
Hi Graham I did the valve checks with the engine in the bike. I did it the way scooterwest said to clamp the front wheel and take the shocks off and jack it up. Make sure you unclog the throttle cables. After that it seemed to go well. The only difficulty is the visibility so make sure you have a small mirror and some good lighting. Hope it goes well for you. And thanks to robot 🤖 who has taught me a lot 👍🏼
Hello my aprilia sport. City 300cc has thé sam engin but i have à problem it's consomme fuel is high iam from morocoo do you have any solution for that ?
Do you have a clean air filter ? O2 sensor is OK? No air leaks around airbox and ECU? Does it turning any light on dashboard? Have you try to run diagnostic?
Sit your center stand up on doubled up 2x10s or 12s, Loosen the rear shocks from the top. Unclip your plug wire and others that will get stretched when you drop the rear wheel down. This will rotate the valve cover up into the compartment.
Very informative I’ll do most of my own work on my 2021 300 racing model

Can you make a video dog avalon adjustments when shims are being used?
Sometimes is strange watching these videos--because I can't feel how tight anything is.

Is it possible to do that job without dropping the engine?
Yes, check some other videos. You can rotate the engine with a jack and loosening the rear shocks

Ma in italiano no?
