I just found this video and went and checked my settings and they were wrong. Makes sense why when I would move my z axis up and down it almost had a grinding noise. Once I changed that setting that noise went away and it moves much smoother. Thank you for all of your videos as I am just finding you on youtube. I have some more to watch now.
Wow! Let's hope an update gets released quickly. Thanks for sharing the fix with us all.
Awesome information, thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Is there any issue with bumping it to 600 mm/min? I use OpenBuilds Control, but that setting is on the machine itself, correct? I'm trying to squeeze every bit of speed out of it, and it seems z-axis is the limiting factor a lot of times.
Yes, So long as your z axis stepper doesn't lockup, then you're good... however I wouldn't actually carve with that speed except for the 3d finishing pass after roughing and using a small stepover amount.
So is this something that is pushed in an automatic update? If I change the setting will I need to check each time to make sure it hasn't gone back until Inventables fixes it?
Some grbl settings (including this one) are pushed to the cnc when a "new machine setup" is performed within Easel. There are a number of scenarios that force easel users to perform this action. But the setting wouldn't get changed unless you do it manually or do another machine setup. So no need to check every time you open Easel, just if that scenario happens again, you might want to check then.
Hi my dad is the one selling you the honda motorcycle for the cnc machines the reason why he wants them is because he is gonna try to make stuff with it and then sell it and try to make a profit. Im really into pc gaming and building he has a broken pc we think its the gpu i think this will really help me and him get the money to fix it
Also good job with the content its really cool and interesting to me and my dad
Hey, thank you! I actually built my video editing PC out earlier this year with a merc310 (modified radeon 7900xt) because using a laptop even a gaming spec laptop was killing the gpu, and driving my editing time up. so I feel you there on the gpu issue!!
The cnc is a learning process, but can definitely be a good side hustle for extra cash.
Getting in with business owners with good incomes and willing to spend is a great route to maximize profits with these machines.

Party event planners are good customers too!! Although they sometimes will nickle and dime, so finding the right ones who value good quality and on time delivery is key in that market...
Thanks for the info Seth
Thank you for checking it out. And the kind words!
Hopefully they figure out a plan to fix it and inform their customer base of the mistake and how to fix before too many more ppl end up with fire wood as a result.
Thanks for the info, great video as always!
It's real unfortunate that it hasn't been fixed yet, hopefully soon.
Thank you for the support and encouragement!! 😃
What about the $132? Default shows 152.4 mine seems to be $132=100.0 What is that one for? and should i change it to the default from inventables?
I believe yours is the same. different from the defaults.
