Ok so the fact that amon can put up a good fight against both kiryu and kenshiro means that either kiryu and kenshiro are the same strength or amon was holding back.
Gonna assume it's the former. I wouldn't be surprised if Kiryu had some sort of magical powers that he doesn't talk about. Then again, Amon has access to less resources in this more realistic world, then he does in Fist of the North Star. I mean, he turns into a skyscraper briefly in his fight against Kenshiro!
I feel once Shin Yakuza comes over they'll have you fight a new Amon, to be honest the Amon fights are super exciting and challenging.....unless you Kiwami Amon that is

@@Artemi22 The talk show segments remained in the game, with the only cut content I'm aware of being the remastered version lacking subtitles for when random encounter enemies start berating you before a fight. You might be confusing it with Yakuza 3, which had a whole lot of cut content such as many substories (some even removed in the remaster), cut out the minigame on Japanese trivia and several other factors. The games since Yakuza 4 have been mostly a 100% faithful transfer beyond some changes to opening music and the remaster of Y4 making a slight alteration to one line of dialogue.

I made Amon ridiculously easy on myself and bypassed a lot: Literally, all I did was quickstep punch him over and over and over and over and I eventually won No exploding roombas, no drones, no shield, no worry. If he's gonna be a cheap son of a bitch, I'll be more than happy to deliver being a cheap ass lol

I love that, despite doing two sick ass, cinematic zoom-in kicks to the guy, _you're_ the one getting you're ass kicked. I hadn't even noticed you had dropped to like 15% HP until you popped open the menu and healed, at which point your entire healthbar lit up.
I saw another video recently on how to deal with the shield. If you pick up a mine and throw it at Amon, it will explode and disable the shield. Keep in mind that it also blows up any nearby drones, so don't get too close when throwing it.

Up until now, I only fought Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 4 and 6's Amons. Same as you, 6 is my first Amon fight. I didn't even know what was I expecting and I died 2 times when I tried to fight him (darn explosive drones!)... these are indeed really hard challenging boss fights. Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, in Yakuza 0 I fought Jo Amon only, haven't even unlocked So Amon yet because I was too embarassed to finish sexual-content substories in order to unlock the fight...

I just finished the game and I gotta say that Amon is the toughest boss to beat especially if you play the hard mode. I died three times playing the hard mode before switching to easy mode, but I still died once in the easy mode coz of the bombs

By the time I'd drop him to when he has that bubble around him, I can hardly freaking walk straight anymore BECAUSE EVERY STEP IS INTO A FUCKING FLYING DRONE!!! alas... a C.C lemon made me able to take him down in one go. Idk if you can do this fight without any buffs...

No he didn't, if you pay attention to his video release dates they were before the demo and that the demo is locked so there's no way to get into it again
I like that he used superhuman powers, orbital lasers and other futuristic sci-fi weapons in previous games but i had the most trouble dealing with shitty dollar store drones and roombas.
Amon: uses telekinesis, giant lasers, martial arts, powerful weapons.
Also Amon: DRONES and ROOMBAS
