Outline:
The events of Relink take place in Zegagrande Skydom. In this corner of the world, islands are guarded by powerful creatures known as primal beasts and winds carry tales of a secretive organization known as the Church of Avia. Through their adventures, the protagonists unveil a web of intrigue reaching far beyond the borders of Zegagrande and engage in a battle for the fate of the Sky Realm itself.

Maybe a question nobody has asked yet but can you have only certain characters in english or japanese? Like street fighter allows us to do this.
I ask because I want the merchant in japanense for sure. I will probably just play them all in japanese but following the story may be more difficult in japanese.

Yeah its the one thing that has drawn me to GB after playing VS, the art aesthetics is really good. Kind of reminds of the french pastiche that zelda skyward sword had.

@@Type_Midi I had other friends that were hyped for this game only for the very very very long delayed development time to make them have second thoughts about it like they were saying things like oh God this is taking such a very very long time to come out and I'm now very scared. So they gave up on this game but I didn't because at least we have reached a certain impasse that while it does take a while for some games to come out both of them were able to come out in a pretty good State with the best example being tales of arise when that had a massive development cycle and it came out to be a smashing success.
So excited for this game. Not into fighting games that much but the ones this series has are pretty fun, and then I find out about this game, and I'm hyped. Especially hyped for the upcoming demo of it. Also, merry Christmas to everyone.
Yea this should have came first then the VS game seeing how the mobile is a RPG.

You can tell Platinum games hand a major hand in the combat system. Battle mechanics reminds me of NieR:Automata, which is fantastic.

Does anyone know if the allies characters will have any importance? I understand that Katalina, Io, etc. are our ship's crew and they are involved in the story and cut scenes. But what about the others like Lancelot, Ferry, Cagliostro and so on? Are they just characters to diversify gameplay and have fun in grind or online or will they have some role in the story or side quests at least?
Mainly gameplay focused. It's been said that they'll make a few comments while out in the field, but the main focus of the story will be the starting characters. Every character will have their own story in Fate Episodes though.
Some sections of their Fate Episodes will be recaps of the original game, other parts will be gameplay focused and revolve around the current events in Relink.

I hope this delivers. I'm skeptical that it took so many years and gens to finally have a release date. Also they lost platinum games so the gameplay might have lost some of the quality it would have had
combat wise, which is better, granblue, tales of arise or ffvii remake/rebirth based on limited access

It’s PlatinumGames collaboration so I’d expect more fluid combat than in Tales of Arise.

@@wanted4580Arise had the most fun combat in the series lmao what. Every character felt different, and Alphen was great with how you could chain his regular combos and artes into multiple burning sword abilities.
Why not fire burst at start of end by last boss fight weakness fire right? 😅
Unless you specifically choose to hold SBA, the party member that fills their bar and is within range usually starts the chain. It's fine though, I doubt it makes much of a difference this early into the game.

Complete noob here thats never consumed anything Granblue related. This game looks incredible from the music, to the animations, the art style. Its cute, and also kinda familiar having watched a lot of Isekai and Fantasy anime. Definitely on my list of games to check out in 2024!

Nope, but on the recent Satelight Stage stream for GBFest Day 2 showed newer characters to play: Zeta, Yodarha, Narmaya, and Ghandagoza iirc

the demo version will likely different because they mention that you can do main story (which likely will end at 3rd chapter just like in this video)
so all main granchyper is likely playable + 5 random character, but i may be wrong.
are there any differences between between Gran and Djeeta? ie character interactions, dialogue, gameplay, etc.
Apparently there's one skill that's slightly different, but outside of that they should be the same.

The same thing happened with GBVS Rising. You probably won’t be able to preorder it. You can buy it when it releases.
I imagine they do it because it allows them to control the release time of the game and there are no preorder bonuses on steam.
I remember dbfz’s launch where the game released almost 8 hours after players thought it would come out & after the console versions because arcsys couldn’t actually control it. It defaulted to the next steam store reset which can be a very annoying time depending on where you live

why can't you change characters during battle?
Because it's not genshin impact, or other gacha games that have that similar mechanic, main a singular character and master them. Or multiple if you want. Stop relying on crutches/other characters (example being kazuha in genshin impact) to carry the whole team.
I hope i can turn off vyrn voice because that will sound annoying after more than 2 hours play lol

There are events before the game starts. But it seems like I can't upload a clip to show it, probably because of the game developers. This is a demo, not the full version.

Probably because they made the model for PS4 7 years ago. After that they only update the materials and textures
Kinda feel this on the main crew and dragon knight (they were earliest addition on relink after all) , newer character feels have higher quality or better model compared to them especially cagliostro.
The text written in tiny letters on a huge blue background is really ugly and spoils the cinematics...

what do you mean? the localization ?
just to inform you relink is +12 rated game, no way they will show something like character underwear despite they use short skirt, they will change it into short pants (except if you play in PC and mod it).
its happen with rising in figure mode only (the dark void is removable by mod) because you can move the camera freely and its not appropriate for the game rating same as relink.

Spent all those years just to drop another basic ARPG that plenty of games who play these types of games have already had similar type of experiences……..down to the menus! This looks like a repeat
Duplicate or similar games are normal, but it's new for Granblue that the old game was a gacha game. This game should be made to make us enjoy the game rather than being made for the novelty that many games that take famous game systems expand on and say that they created a new one.
What is basic about this game and how is it similar to past ARPGs? Can you list some games for us to compare?

3D scenes and animated characters have a strong sense of disobedience.
I'm guessing they're going to be re-using the same maps since the boys battle is the same arena as one of the mob quests in the preview.
I'm sure there will be certain story areas that get used in some quests.
