Super cool stuff ✨️👌hope you all have a wonderful weekend 🙏🏽
God bless you my friend! We sure appreciate you and hope you have an awesome weekend too! 🙂
ALWAYS, ALWAYS enjoy your digs with Paul and Shelly, Dave... really find it fascinating at what you find and how much you know about older glass but I have a question.....all the broken and slicks you toss out....do you rebury it when you fill the holes or do you gather it up and recycle it?? I've always wondered! Thanks so much for sharing your hunts.... really do appreciate it! Take care, be safe and may God bless you and your family!! 🙏🙏🙏
Hey Jim, always so nice to hear from you brother! We just dont know what to do with all the broken glass and stuff? We've saved a bunch for folks but a couple of our good friends we saved it for died. We do save the clear slicks to turn amethyst...but the aqua and amber stuff we dont know what to do with. Do you need some?🙂
Keep 'em coming guys
Hey thanks my friend! its always nice to hear from a fellow Travelling Bottle Digger. We should get together sometime for a dig? Where do you live? I travel all over so it would be fun to do some digging with ya.

Hi! Sir. The A.U. insulator is a CD-121.4
Patent dec. 19 1871 on the crown
I think it’s a Hemingray product
Thanks for letting us know what that insulator is. Its probably common, but I just dont recall digging one before. Now, I'm hoping to hit into a cache of good old insulators in that area! We will keep you posted...
Hey Dave, l9ve your show! Been watching it for a long time! Our home was built in 1852, we live in the historic section in Belleville Illinois. Anyway just wondering, do you have any Belleville Glass Co. bottles? Thank you for taking the time to read this ~Blessings~
Hey thanks for watching and for your nice note. I've probably got a few Belleville Glass bottles in my collection...a couple bitters, some beers and sodas, etc..they are usually marked B.G.CO. My best Belleville bottle is a pontiled barrel shaped aqua ale bottle that Paul and I dug in St.Louis from an 1850s privy. Hey if you ever need a hand to locate the outhouse privy pit location in your back yard you know who to call...haha. I love digging in Belleville, but a lot of the pits have been cleaned out...digrdaveb@aol.com
That Sanford's ink's and Library paste bottle is a dead ringer for what we call dumpy ginger beer bottles hear in Australia that where widely used by various small companies in the 1920's.
That's so cool...I didnt know that. Are you bottle digger there in Oz? We sure appreciate you watching. Wish we could come to dig with you in the Outback...that would be so fun! 😀
Good to see the two of you back at it. Great content as usual and maby Shelly can join the two of you before long when it warms up a little. Have a great weekend guys.
We sure thank you for watching and leaving us nice comments. Shelley is itching to get to dig, so she should be in a video soon. We are actually planning a trip down south so stay tuned....🙂
Yeah who Mountain Dew,back at the good old jug dump,so glad to see you back, missed you all!Missed your sence of humor Dave! Now I’ll hush up my mug till you fill up my jug with that good old Mountain Dew!LOL
Yea boy howdy....gimme that good ole Mountain Dew! ...actually Paul drinks Mountain Dew more than any hillbilly I ever knew...haha. Thanks so much for watching and for your nice comments. Its good to be back in the saddle again....now if I can keep from falling off the horse!...haha😁
CD 116 A.U. If it’s a smooth base it’s an early one. Later they added drip points and changed the Pat. date.
Thanks for watching and for letting us know what the insulator is. I wish it were intact...maybe there's more waiting for us in the next dig? Hey, you have a wonderful weekend....
I want to come dig with yall
Hey we would love to have you come dig with us! Where do you live? I feel bad that a couple people we never made connection with and now I've forgotten who it was. We just get so busy with so many other things...I never mean to slight anyone. Drop me a note...digrdaveb@aol.com
Fried squirrel
Yea, that little squirrel was singin the song Flirtin With Disaster I think....He was running across the power lines and irritated with Paul and me for something...haha
What is pludo wardur
Hi Julia...thanks for watching. Pluto Water was the name of a very popular medicinal mineral water from French Lick Indiana. It was billed as "America's Physic" and claimed to be good for various ailments. People came from all over the world to French Lick to stay in the health spa there and drink the water. The bottles we dug are from that spring. The trade mark was a devil named PLUTO. We hope you have a fantastic weekend!
