I love videos like these! You really take the time to share your understanding in a super digestible way. I took the time to watch all the native instruments tutorials and read through the manual and honestly this video was straight to the point and answers a lot of questions I know other producers would have just beginning to get into Maschine. I think you should make a video on creating quick song structures next. It would help a lot of people understand how to start to make "full" songs : )
Thanks so much this comment made my day!!! So happy to hear you’re getting into maschine! Yeah I’d love to show how to make full songs on maschine!!! I’ll remember that for my videos in the future!
I canceled splice 6 months ago and never looked back. Had the machine for 4 years now and just now starting to get the hang of it. But like to use it with Fl studios. 🔥 combo.
Your thumbnail got my attention. Splice or LoopCloud versus NI Expansions? …or just free 3rd party loops and samples? The as I watched, I see you’re using free or low cost 3rd party libraries like Arturia. I guess your point is that you don’t necessarily need Splice, if you’ve got all these other sound sources, but online sample libraries with 10M - 14M loops probably aren’t going away.
Yeah 100%!!! I don’t hate splice or anything but I do tend to lean more towards making my own samples! It was hard when I first started but keeps me more creative for sure!
Sadly, my MK3+ is starting to collect dust. When I realized you can actually import the Maschine drum pack samples into Ableton Live 12 and sequence or finger drum with Push 3. Well, using Maschine just became redundant in my workflow. Just way more options in Ableton Live 12 than Maschine.
Fair enough 😂 too be fair there are lots of groups in the maschine MK3 put out by native instruments. And you can drag in your own samples. So you can use it with splice!!
The point is I just make my own samples! It’s way more practical for me who doesn’t really like sample based producing. But if you rely on samples I totally get having a splice subscription!!! Just whatever is best for you!!!

The cool thing is you don’t need Maschine if you already are using Ableton or Bitwig, you can do the same stuff right there.
The letters MK are an abbreviation for the word "mark". The correct pronunciation is "mark three", not "emm kay 3".
Ok
Fair enough 😂 I just sound lame saying mark 3 tho. Sounds like I’m talking about a Ironman suit
I would like to watch more beat making tutorials with Maschine MK3
For sure!!! I’ll keep em coming!!! I love making beats on maschine

That’s awesome!!! I use the maschine and logic combo!!! Can’t say enough good about maschine honestly!!

That’s totally fair!!! Maschine isn’t for everyone honestly. Abelton has an amazing UI. I’m just so used to maschine at this point!!
If you can afford it, Splice is Hella lit. I mean anything is if you can afford it let’s just make good music.. “that sounds good”

Look into the camera - use better mic and video camera
Sorry I’m getting used to looking into the camera 😂 I’m saving up for a mic and camera!!! Coming soon!!!!
I dont understand your point of view... you need samples for maschine i guess... so why you underrated Splice? Doesnt make sense

You don't need samples for maschine, you can control synths with it.
