I had the Plus and didn't care for it. Good content
or a pencil
The workflow is really insane on these and more user friendly imo opinion in comparison to mpc I tried using the mpc software that comes with the mpk mini and it’s really confusing mpc leans more towards the day one users which isn’t all bad but for new comers to the mpc in general is gonna be a huge learning curve but once you master it its a different story
Cue points 🤔
Nice bro🎉
Went from an MK2 to an MPC One Plus and I’m glad I did. With Maschine I always had crashes and technical issues of which I no longer have. Glad I did since MK2 and MK1 support stops on November 6th. Remember resale value of any Maschine device is next to nothing. An Akai always maintains its value or goes up.
Stop 🛑 it. I bought Maschine MK2 and support stops November 6th. Maschine 2.0 never synced my groups properly and crashed all the time. I just bought an MPC One Plus and glad I did. NI has better plugins and better virtual instruments than Akai’s virtual instruments. But making beats in the MPC hands down.
I just picked this up at recently and this was way easier to understand than some of the other tutorials out there. Appreciate it mane!
NI just discontinue support for the MK1 and the MK2 and the Micro version. The purge is on. Glad I bought an MPC One Plus.
Completely agree with this video. The plugin version of Maschine is a lame duck as it is, it kills the workflow of the maschine which makes it largely pointless using it (maybe a slight exaggeration but still it does put me right off using it that way). I’d like to see a kind of integration where I can have Maschine open separate to my DAW, and they could maybe use a plugin system to allow me to drag and drop whatever chunks of work I create in the Maschine across into my DAW, maybe have it automate the creation of a bounce to audio and just drop that in where I want it in the DAW, with the option for it to be still dropped into the DAW in separated tracks, not a huge saving over manually bouncing separated tracks, but just enough more convenience for me to want to work that way, and feel like I can still keep developing various parts of the track in the Maschine software and replacing that part of the track within the DAW easily. As it is currently you can do that kind of thing while using the plugin but not being able to control it with play/stop buttons in plugin just screws my workflow, so let us map the outputs from the standalone Maschine software into the DAW, and then we can tweak mix details in a real DAW and sprinkle our seasonings there, while working on the real meat and potatoes of the track in Maschine, with the full control that we enjoy normally.
Comencé con MPD 32, pase más maschine mk2, ahora estoy en. MPC live 2 y es brutal, ahora estoy buscando una maschine mk3 usada
I hate to break it to you, but the Maschine Software is NOT A DAW, it is a Music Production and Performance System (so more like an MPC or an Electron). Can you make complete electronic tracks with it? YES. I produced my first 2 EPs after Corona 100% in Maschine, and I do still use it in Bitwig now in every project (More as a sketchbook for ideas). But, it is not a real DAW in the traditional meaning (like Reaper f.e.) because it misses some features for this title - f.e. try to create a podcast with it or make a MixDown of a multitrack bandrecording. But again, it does not need to be a DAW, cause what it does is pretty awesome and I am so in love with the workflow it offers.
Is possible I can insert my own midi notes to it .
Please please please try to do a transition like a dj! Please 😭❤️
Hi I agree with you on quite a few items here and would like to see the sampler have more functionality as my mixer I/O goes into it, but find it very buggy…and doesn’t record properly sometimes , the arranger could do with a chord track feature also, I do love the Chord Mode on the Maschine , I’ve also sat for 3 years now with NI Daw to get my head around it, and trying get off using the mainstream DAWs…Mainly Studio 1 6.5 as I’ve been with them since day one, but due to Fender take over I’m not now so keen to stay loyal due to way its pricing is going etc. especially for long term users like myself, So big huge YES for Ni and moving on up with a more featured DAW , I would go back to Logic which also I’ve slowly moved away from, but Logics future is looking awesome especially with all the AI software recently…BASS KEYS DRUMMER…incredible indeed. What keeps me with Ni nowadays is the Maschine mk 3 - S88 Keys and Jam….and not to mention their sound libraries, untouchable as far as im concerned and just gets better. Love the tactile control of their hardware and hope this won’t ever drop, fingers crossed on an upgraded DAW Ni…don’t take away anything that’s there tho…and the same for Maschine mk 3, just keep getting better as it has done over the years. Jono Rezzillo 👌🏴
I try to use it .. and I don’t like to chop with it …. I just wish serato sample had an export option … I have the mikro tho .. that s maybe why I don’t really enjoy it
I have a feeling the next thing coming is additions to their daw. They do the mixing and mastering, I will keep my backup but I wouldn't need to go anywhere else for anything. Unless adding expansions and other plugins vst. I love Native Instruments!n!! 💪💪🏿🎉🎉
Love it, id like to try to get something like that for the intros into songs then bring the main song in through a dj controller - the transition etc, think that will be the hard part
this was sick af 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love you shirt!
yall wonder where he went?🥲
ref maschine does anyone know if there is a randomize midi notes button i can click on the software alone ? like in fl studio or mpc beats generate random patterns notes etc ?
Former hardcore NI Maschine user here. Now on MPC - and finally very happy, I must say. MPC highly recommend! ❤ I don't trust NI anymore, very bad ca$h marketing, old good stuff discontined (Absynth, Battery!!, FM8, B4 Organ and so on) This is NOT nice, NI !! 🤬
Bro that was the best explanation for Maschine that I’ve heard thus far, good one homie and I’m now a follower.Peace.
I make music on band lad I I’m a Producer
After about 15 years without making music I just bought the Maschine MK3 and I love the compact hardware and software with this great workflow. Recently I got the Maschine jam which is awesome as well. Looking for further videos from you
Great Video. Thanks for that. i Like your Workflow and think it is very inspiring. it's a great idea to use one plug in for a whole track. So the sounds fit in. Looking for further videos using Maschine 👍
Dis is jus How We RECORDED in da Studio then put it on Wax 34 years ago. What is New??
Is there something like Thermal from NI?
I am very much interested in this. I have a Traktor X1, F1, Komplet Audio 6 and a S8. I am working on integrating Maschine into my live kit. Would very much appreciate your partnership in this.
NI gave up this fight years ago, AKAI have left them in the dust now.
I agree with ya, buying an MK3 changed my life. I haven’t touched logic since I bought the Maschine. One suggestion for you is to use the hardware and skip the mouse and the 2.0 interface; you can do 95% of it on the MK3. Even better add a Kontrol MK2 and have it all.
If you can afford it, Splice is Hella lit. I mean anything is if you can afford it let’s just make good music.. “that sounds good”
Interesting Idea. I was surprised to hear you say you wanted to import and drop mp3 files onto your projects. I wouldn't want to do that because now you have compressed (lossy) things in your project, and then if you encode it you double compress (lossy) when you go to MP3. I'd want to trade wav's for that reason. Sure they're bigger, but that's cuz they're not compressed (lossy). Unless I'm missing something as I'm no expert, just a < year machine user. I have often wondered how Maschine works compared to Logic/Ableton. You build all these patterns, but they're recorded by the DAW as a single instrument? (haven't done a lot of it so I may not know some things) seemed weird workflow. I know in my reading on the community forum they have said they are resource constrained, and that's why they're slow to support new Mac OS revisions. I'd hate for them to start work on a DAW and further constrain their resources though. That'd mean Mashine the DAW would need to generate its own income to fund a team, and all the machine users probably wouldn't be happy about a $300-$1100 cost for something they need to make their hardware work? Interesting idea though definitely. Guess we'll hear what they have planned one day :)
NI shits on Akai when it comes to Sounds and quality of the sounds. And at the end of the day its all about the sound. So...... Plus too much features on the MPCs, less is more.
Make more vids like this porfavor!
Good video but would be great with a camera overhead of the MK3 hardware.
Spot on mate. I hope NI hear this !
Titles video "Is the Maschine MK3 Still Worth Buying in 2024" proceeds to make a beat using mostly 3rd party plugins for both synths and FX 🤣
Well most plugins people use for NI are third party. I assume he’s mostly showing the workflow and beat orchestration mainly as a controller, without doing it as a stand alone.
Maschine is just a modern version of the SP1200 but a controller to a DAW (because it’s tethered to the daw even standalone imo) but if you can work with the limitations and add external gear (SP or whatever digitak or teenage engineering device) I think you’ll be good. And my biggest selling point has always been that 9th Wonder also use maschine so 🤷🏽♂️
It amazes me how defensive and scared people get when you say that something like Maschine (or an MPC) is a DAW or like a DAW. They don’t get that products like the MPC we’re dealing with digital audio, had some built in effects and mixing and had a sequencer, thus they were just as much of a Digital Audio Workstation as Logic, Cubase and the rest. What people are scared of when you say that Maschine is a DAW is that it seems harder than using a ‘me too’ DAW that everyone uses. People fear different. Simple as that! Personally, I get where you’re coming from; others won’t.
Can you do this exact same thing on the 200 dollar mk3?
Turn to Jesus people, he died for your sins. Repent of what the New testament describes as sin. Believe the gospel get baptized and obey the teachings of Jesus. The gospel and the teachings of Jesus are documented in Matthew Mark Luke and John. Jesus is the only way to be saved, if you have faith in Jesus through your faith you will live by his teachings. God bless you all in Jesus name amen
In Jesus Holy Name Amen🙏
@@DLNProduktionz amen
A FL style playlist with brush/paint capability and would make Maschine 100% better.
You forgot to talk about the Mixer, needs a serious update or revamp
I've been very interested in Maschine recently, but I think that you and other Maschine users who discuss why they use Maschine as their main DAW have missed the point when discussing the advantages of Maschine. First of all, the advantage of Maschine is not the function of the software, because anyone who fully understands or has used mainstream DAW software (such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic, etc.) will not think that the function of Maschine software is an advantage, but a big disadvantage. You must admit that it is not a complete DAW at all. If your goal is just to play some rhythms and create a few loops, then it's fine, but if your goal is to make real finished music, then its functions are not enough, and it is full of limitations. I think the real advantages of Maschine are two points. First, the integration of all sounds, instruments, and plug-ins of NI allows you to quickly obtain very textured sounds and effects. Second, and most importantly, is the Maschine hardware itself. On the one hand, it allows you to get a full tactile experience in the production process. Many people underestimate this point. At least for me, feeling and vibe are very important elements in making music. When I use Maschine to make music, the touch and excellent lighting effects make me full of inspiration. This is why I have been paying attention to the topic of Maschine recently, because last week, I used it to make what I think is the best beat I have ever made without fully mastering Maschine. On the other hand, Maschine is a Pad Midi controller with a very good design. Its workflow is very smooth. It is no exaggeration to say that it is a pleasure to use it. After a certain learning curve, creating on Maschine is a very smooth thing. I have been using Ableton Live and FL Studio for four or five years. After a short learning period, I think my operation on Maschine is as smooth as operating DAW on a computer. So, I think what NI needs to do now is to upgrade their software, whether it is to release a real DAW that integrates all NI products (if so, I will run to the street and cheer loudly), or just upgrade the Maschine software to 3.0, bringing more complete functions, truly usable piano roll, usable automation in linear time, more complete arrangement functions, more detailed editing functions for audio, and the ability to freely place and manipulate audio in linear time, etc. I noticed on the official forum of NI that NI plans to release Maschine 3.0 software this year, and I hope they can surprise us. I have very high expectations for this update, and I hope it can bring me a complete DAW experience, so that I will not hesitate to uninstall other DAWs, because I really love this hardware.
Would not buy at MSRP. Would buy an MPC One, unless you wanted to use it in a PC-based workflow - particularly if you want to use it to control a 3rd party DAW (they work amazingly well with Bitwig Studio). Otherwise, I'd just get a Launchkey MK3 or Oxygen Pro. Those pads are usable for production. Or... save $250 and get the Nektar Pad Controller for $350. $599 is hilariously overpriced given the current market positions and the competitors out these days (MPC One, Nektar Aruba, PreSonus Atom, etc.). The Mikro is more attractive given the price point, but I'd just get the Aruba for $100 more, personally.
Im so glad i didn't buy anything by output.
I think if you go Bitwig then you only need a MIkro because they actually have amazing scripted support for that controller. The MK3 is technically superior (built in interface, more controls), but the Micro is more than good enough and you can use the money you save to buy the Bitwig license. Far better beat making DAW, IMO. Lol. I think that's going to be Maschine's biggest issue. Like... the software is basically never worth it unless you're using a standalone, these days. The only reason to use it is personal preference - so long as you stay on Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 so that you can drag and drop samples/loops from the Komplete Kontrol browser to the host DAW. I downgraded Komplete Kontrol on all of my PCs and my Mac because the 3.x version upgrade was such a downgrade.
