Many thanks for such a comprehensive video. I have an interview next week for ST3 post. I have worked in NHS for few months at ST1-ST2 level but then I came to my home country. Currently I'm working as a Consultant Nephrologist
As usual,, You have delivered the information in the most precise way possible 😊,,Thanks a lot,, But am really worried about the job prospects in the UK right now since a huge number of doctors are taking PLAB
Thanks for saying so! Though there are an increased number of PLAB takers, there is still a considerable shortage of doctors in the UK that needs filling.
Hello . After graduating and finishing and internship , I've completed a 3 year MD internal medicine degree course in India and 1 year after that. I was looking to get into specialty training in the UK eventually. I've completed MRCP 1,2 and PACES. If I understand correctly , I can start off at a non training ST3 post and then get into training after gaining some UK experience right?. Is it possible to acquire an ST3 post ( training /non training) given my experience or will I have to take a CT post ? I would be greatful for your opinion . Thanks
Hello! Yes that's correct. Yes you can obtain an ST3 post, but for training you'd need to get your alternative core competencies signed off first, and we'd typically recommend starting in a non training post initially to understand the system first.
Hey! Thank you for everything! I wanted to know if it's possible to get an st3 plus level non training job after plab (no MRCP), for someone who is already a gastro consultant in their country and interested in a CESR. Thanks!
The person specifications for a specialty level (ST3+) post states you must complete a post graduate exam such as MRCP/MRCS/etc depending on the specialty. It doesn't matter if you were a consultant in your home country if you do not meet the requirements for the UK.
Hi, thank you for your informative video! I have a couple of questions: 1. Could I apply for a non-training job before getting registration with GMC? ( am due to finish my internship this July and will only register with GMC then) 2. What search terms would you use to search for non-training jobs on NHS website?(I'm looking for fy2 level jobs) Thanks a mil!
Thank you for spending your time helping other IMG. You are amazing. : ) I would like to know if you have any video/article that fits in my situation> I finished my trainee in plastic surgery in Brasil 12 years ago. I am a plastic surgeon consultant in Brazil since 2009. I got my GMC register with license in 2021, and I would like to apply for a plastic surgery job (I don´t mind if it is a Trainee or Junior job). I just want to have a chance to work in NHS. And usually what is the time gap between the application closing date and job starting date? I mean how many months in advance should I start applying?
You're very welcome :) Always glad to help! Yes they do. Typically one hears back from a job within 2 weeks of the closing date. Keeping that in mind, allow for another two weeks for interview and job accepting. CoS doesn't take as long to apply for anymore, so all you'd really be waiting for is receiving your Tier 2 visa, which can take another 2-3 weeks.

I've done,Comminity Medical Assistant(CMA)in Nepal whereas what a doctor studies we do the same but we have to study least things or surface things than the doctor does or it can be said we just have the authority in Nepal to examine the patient at certain community and accordingly can provide the symptomatic treatement with some limited medicines/drugs(no narcotic drugs are allowed to prescribe or use to treat) and the main thing it's called Technical School Leaving Certificate(TSLC)which is below intermediate level but higher than GCSE,so now my question for you is,"I wanna have some medical/clinical related Certificate or Training which leads me towards further related course(s)/academic education in UK so that I can make career in the mentioned field, what are the ways to get so,suggest me if apprenteship can be done, because I need to earn as well to survive in UK?
Does an ongoing part time MSc course at UK affect my chances of getting a job? You know they might think that I will not be committed to my job when doing a course.
So would you be in the UK on a Tier 4 (student visa) or Tier 2 (work visa)? If you're working and want to do an online MSc course, you can do that, but the burden to maintain your job and the course is on you.
@@RoadToUK I already got an offer from university, the class will start from october. I will need to be there for one week every 2-3 months. At the same time I am currently looking for an nhs job. I plan to get a tier-2 visa once I get a job that will allow me to work and study as well. I was just worried if my course will have any impact on me getting a job.
@@RoadToUK yes I will be needing a visa for attending the course in UK. Ideally I should be going for a student visa. But if I can manage to get a job before my class starts I will go for a tier-2 working visa. Because as far as I know the tier 2 visa allows me to study as well. So it should cover both- my job and class.

Mam can you say me that what are the qualifications required according to pay band and required experience in nhs..?? Pls reply
What do you mean?
Unfortunately we don't have any information regarding this.
If I once get my GMC registration done is it valid for lifetime? Can we apply for jobs anytime we like or is there a fixed period?
You have to keep your registration valid.
@@sadmanjaoad6994 Will you on a visa to complete this part time MSc?
@@RoadToUK yes I will be needing a visa for attending the course in UK. Ideally I should be going for a student visa. But if I can manage to get a job before my class starts I will go for a tier-2 working visa. Because as far as I know the tier 2 visa allows me to study as well. So it should cover both- my job and class.
Sadman Jaoad hi can u plz tell how much do msc part time course cost
