@@dmanke yep! I stayed in Jakarta for a month, I stayed in that apartment for about two weeks. I left because I was tired of the mosque speakers waking me up at 4-5am hahaha
@@dmanke i managed to snag a good airbnb presidential suite at puri orchard apartment, not sure if it was because of the location or because i lived above the 20th floor, but the speakers were not loud at all at that area!
Interesting video very nice one suggestion though as a person who lives or have lived and will go back to Jakarta or Indonesia as a Muslim I'm going to tell you this please take it in good stride, break the habit of using your left hand to shake people's hands or to eat those people may not say anything because of their decent demeanor the habit of using your left hand for those purposes because the left hand in that part of the world is considered a dirty thing, and very offensive so using the left hand is a sign of disrespect As an American I can tell you We don't mean it as a offense but it is very offensive.
You should not have had to pay all those fees I think they did that because you are not Muslim and you're of Westerner and they obviously know your Westerner and they charge you with a bunch of fees I did not pay all those fees although I am a Westerner I am a Muslim watch the fees people try to put on you sometime they see foreigners and they get crazy
Sherry is wearing a cool hat. Good information on the subject. I was completely unaware that Jakarta was so populated!
It’s a very dense city with a lot of sprawl. This weekend we had to get out of the city.
no body force you to rent near the mosque, if you don't like it leave it, or leave the country, no one is focing you.
