Nice demonstration. 1 tip to share... if you create templates you save time measuring for accuracy.
Ex: if you want to make circles, get something rigged like a plastic used in bag making or thinck stencils. use a circumference cutter, cut your circle, mark the dimensions. Now, you have a circle to use on all your leather. Size and dimensions up to you.
I know how hard it is to line marks on leather. 😅😅😅 lol . I'm the worst without hard guides. I was so happy when Tandy, SLC, and Weaver came out with acrylic templates.

Is the pen you are using a normal pen, or is it specifically for leather?

A normal ink pen works just fine. Just be careful not to accidentally get any ink on the front side of your leather. I doesn’t come off.

Hi! It is a normal ink pen, however there are pens made specifically for leather that is easier to wash off (in most cases)! I hope this helps and happy crafting!
