I've been given a Sheriff's account twice and the rules were made clear we are not to abuse them for our own benefit. These were for events to give out gold and we could have fun. With regards to platoons they said this: " You can platoon with friends, but don't try anything shifty. ", so these guys knew exactly what they were doing and should have their accounts removed.
People like this are who get cool features for everyone shut down. Thank you for taking the time to get a record for it and I do hope WG can find a way to sort it without taking the sherriff accounts away from the players
Sofilein Wargaming doesn’t care enough to separate the offenders from the innocent. They banned all the accounts as expected and there will be no new accounts issued to those who were innocent, despite whatever bullshit platitudes they puke into our eyes about “resolving the issue” for the innocent players. More like “fuck you over because we don’t fucking care”.
They did finally sort it all out just in time for Turkey Hunt this year!!! Yes, they addressed it live on Twitch; not sure about punishments but they said offenders were dealt with! The accounts were accidentally Developer Only accts and they had to fix the mess they made and make things right. But, according to Wargaming NA staff; they solved it all now. They are hoping for an " Easter Sheriff " weekend next!!! : - )
@@ChivalrousVeteran Map picker did not used to be a thing originally on sheriffs, that was added randomly later, around the middle and or end of gold league originally. Either that or there was more than one type of 'sheriff' account, as back then there were plenty of random accounts (still are) that you can't see the stats on, but they can play pubs, essentially have most or all of the tanks that non-super-press accounts (ones that big streamers who've never played WOT before would be given, they have access to VERY special tanks and variants that NO ONE else does) that also do not give gold for killing them nor do they have the target on their name in the playerlist. I remember being cheeky with friends on these accounts and picking Mittengard in tier 10 and watching the chat flip out, WT E100s dying VERY quickly before they could rush down the hill if they spawned up at the top, while we were in Mauses and VK 72s. I also know that the accounts have flags, as does most every game that has distinct 'hidden or visible classes' or permissions and it's not that they're hard to remove as domo said, it's that they either don't know what they're doing or whomever has access to remove individual permissions of an account type is either in RU and or these changes require a total server restart to go into effect. Reason I imagine technical knowledge not being out of the question is because WG staff used to claim they "don't have the means to check IP addresses that logged into a gold league account" when people were getting on other teams' accounts on occasion and intentionally getting that team in trouble by saying bad things in chat, team killing, etc. But who knows.

Unfortunately, map picker can not be easily removed from the accounts in the immediate future, so we are going to ban the accounts until the issue is solved. In order to clear up any confusion, this is absolutely considered a violation of the EULA. Sanctions incurred while playing on a Sheriff or Spotlight account will be applied to the player's main account. If you have replay evidence of more of this behavior please submit it to our Rules Violation team so that we can take appropriate action.

I honestly don't see what satisfaction there is in cheating your way to a 3-mark. So you get a nice little sticker on the barrel of your tank, but every time you see it you'll know its fake. In his book Racing through the Dark, former cyclist David Millar describes standing on the podium of the 2003 World Time Trial Championship and feeling empty, knowing that the only reason he won was through doping. This is the same thing, except when you dope in professional sports you can earn millions if you aren't caught; in WoT you get a pretty sticker on your tank and risk losing your account forever! The main issue is not even them getting the marks, it's the fact that in the game, when you look at a player with 3 marks you get the sense that that player is good, but then they have 0 sense of team play and are selfish as shit, and I find a lot of these players in games I play, over and over again

To back up what @DatBoyGuru said, we have map pick on our HUNT (Asia's version of Sheriff) accounts and we've been specifically told to not touch it. Map pick has been an option for this accounts since the accounts were a thing, I'm talking as far back as 2013-2014. Each time we've been given these accounts on Asia, staff have told us that we are to not use this function.
Clarification: 1) *Edit* Force leadership lied to me about kicking the guilty members. They all just changed their names and or got promoted on their alt accounts and nothing changed. To this day they still claim to be innocent and treat me like the villain for this video. 2) Pm_loves_hoarce shared a picture of him 3 marking the T-100 on mines, as evidence it wasn't on Prok, which is the map I first saw him in. So he's not map picking, but the platoon with the sheriff accounts is still questionable. 3) The accounts are not "Clan Spotlight" accounts, but rather "Community League" accounts. CL was a league sponsored by Corsair, which was a competitive 5 v 5 format. In some cases, the CL teams ended up being people from the same clan, so it wasn't like a clan spotlight when the accounts were given out, they just happened to be in the same clan. The accounts do give gold compensation when killed and map picks are available. 4) Wheels are turning to get this fixed because of the video, so thank you guys for your comments.
That seely guy was in the comments bragging but it looks like he deleted his comment about "using the spotlight accounts to their full potential" because it made him look like a massive tool since he's not good enough to even be in the league and earn one kek

When access is given to Sheriff accounts on those special weekends (I've done it 4 times now) the first thing we are told is that if you do anything "shady" your real account will face sanctions. The accounts of the sheriffs in this case should receive month-long bans at the least. The ones 3 marking should be either permabanned or account reset....START ALL OVER BOYS.
There was a comment ''end platooning with sheriff accounts'' . I think this is the best solution. The account is given to you to try tanks, not platooning with your friends.

Tru The reason behind the T57 and Bat isnt because of the clip potential. Its because of Tank Class. so the second example you see 2 heavys and 1 medium in platoon in both teams.

Bro I literally saw a streamer (forgot his name) on the NA server going for the spotting record, and he was choosing maps and was picking prokorovka every time. He was a good player but if you are rigging the matchmaking and play that map over and over again compared to the enemy ebr who happened to just get that map once that is extremely unfair. And how can you even feel accomplished when your riggin the match making to give you the same map everytime.
That's slightly different though, but I would agree with you that we shouldn't have access to map picks in the first place. He's not boosting anyone's 3 marks or main account stats, he's only playing on the sheriff account and showcasing scouting to his viewers. It's more along the lines of what the map picker is intended for. But yeah, it shouldn't be there, I agree.

i sent my WOT account into cold storage for the remainder of the year. So many anomalies in so many different levels wear me down. But the prize goes to the Minsk guys for bringing in the french Mario karts... Power creep+ nerfing old reliable tanks sux the joy out of "playing".
You know it is a funny thing TRUvoodoo, sometimes I platoon with Claus Kellerman when he is in his Sheriffs account, and I will be watching his stream while platooning with him in his sheriffs account and I never once seen him pick maps. And I will gladly platoon with any CC who has a sheriffs account, just to have some fun platooning with a CC. But what you are pointing out is absolutely wrong and everyone caught doing it should be banned. But I have seen people using alt accounts, to mark their tanks by playing against themselves on opposing teams, and lordsheen is one of those I have seen using alt accounts. As I got a game with him where both his accounts was on the same team, and both using EBR's.
I have seen more examples of this, a person who can't two mark a tank, but has 192 games and has 3 marked one. This is also jacking up the work i have to do with 3 marking tanks of my own. Is it possible for us to contact someone to voice our concern as well?
things like this would also upset me, as they do not know how lucky they are to have the chance to own a sheriff account. i say those accounts needs to be taken away from those who are abusing it and given to players who plays fair and only gaining from it by giving back to the community(getting gold for killing them)
The same people dare judge others and stomp them on their performance. Game rigging is obvious during late night and early mornings. It is disgusting and I don't see why I should be involved with this game anymore. I play 15 games and I am done then I resume my campaigns on solo games. Some have many accounts and lose on purpose to drop stats on certain tanks they are marking on their main account. Fortunately new players around tier 5 are nor corrupted yet, we see this in high tiers.
There is a thing called ethics. What these fools are doing is certainly unethical. There is no defending what these fools are doing. I guess Wargaming can be blamed a bit due to giving Sheriff accounts to people who are undeserving of them. Whether I ever achieve a three mark it will not be any less due to these unethical fools. Because I earned it the correct way, not by the means these idiots did. And if they go to this much trouble and they appear to know what they are doing. That just makes them all more pathetic.
I was in such scenario in EU server and texted the guys and insulted me instead! So i reported their act to WOT with details and screenshot but couldn't give replay cuz my replay manger crashed, that guy had a chieftain when i reported him and he was 86% and guess what, he is no banned and 3rd marked it, congratulations WOT for sick system of catching cheaters
I recently found your channel and have been watching some videos. Awhile back another tank youtuber was designated a C.C. and started playing his Sherriff account with friends. Watching on Twitch I noticed 4 battles in a row on Prokarova(I know I massacred that spelling) so I messaged him saying how crazy you playing a AMX 13 90 and getting the same open map 4 battles in a row. That's when he told his chat he was able to pick which map to play. You know I don't think that's fair and I believe WG should let Sheriffs accounts be like regular accounts and not having every skill/perk in the game

We could only hope this is a rare thing to be happening. During the last sheriff event I got lucky enough to get one,, had a GREAT TIME , and did just as you mentioned; played tanks I don't have, played tanks I have and like,, but made great with those crews., again,, really enjoyed the chance to give out gold to everyone. I even sent at "GRTZ on the Gold" to everyone who got me. We ALL hope this doesn't keep those event from happening , TY for making this,, GLHF.

I came back to WOT after a six year hiatus and realized, after only a couple of weeks, I really don't want to play this game anymore. Too many AH's, no accountability, and too much bias for certain country's tanks and too much pay to win. I'm done. You just highlighted another reason to discontinue playing.
WOT doesn’t even enforce their written rules. They’re not going to say anything about this. The service a specific niche of players and everyone else is crap to them.
Whats ironic voodoo, is ive been a player since US release, and i have seen a few of veterans in the past 6 months completely rocket up the leaderboards, and through my own intuition (and being a capable player myself, 56% 2900 wn8) seen some of these veteran clans and players pull of games that is beyond their own punching weight, far more frequently, especially in tanks that are far beyond their capabilites, i give respect where it's due, but players jumping (within a week) from a 70% moe in the chieftain, to a 98% is not a statistical hiccup, it's obvious exploitation. It's complete cheating, platoons is fine, but what you show exemplifies obvious misconduct. Tanks is really easy to follow the rules, and if someone is in a gray area, it is ONLY because they know it's a gray area.

@@jonshiveley5237 I've seen plenty of people with 1500 or lower overall wn8 but nearly 3000 recent. The situation you described doesn't rule out the possibility of the player recently acquiring a chieftain after becoming a unicum.
@@IR-xy3ij what i intended to say, is are Jon said, a chieftain with 200+ battles with Sub 2 mark by a wide margin, such as struggling to maintain 66% MOE for months, then going to 98% within a week, going from 2400 recents in a tier X, than within a week going upward of 3400 is a huge difference. 25% increase is not something that can be done without exploitation. I can peak at 10% a day, but to go above 25% for a whole week, and 3 mark THE MOST DIFFICULT tank a week a later.. nope.
Great detective work TV and poor show by these guys. I guess if WG leaves a door open someone will walk through it! Shame WG don’t do these basic checks - I would’ve thought it would be quite easy to run some rules against the player base to detect (eg WRtop 1% on any specific tank.) Hopefully they will start now.

Be it Rigging for 3 Marks or the Obj. 279(e) it is wrong. The only true way to put an end to it is to change the queue system with platoon is to put a random 0starter to engage when you click battle in a platoon you enter into a randomly generated starters block of Battle Requests that gives your platoon an unknown starter time for that battle. You click Battle and you enter a platoon queue prior to the main game Battle Queue. It could be upwards of a 20 second delay from the time Battle is clicked until your Platoon actually enters into the Battle Queue. But then it could be worse. Perma Ban all caught Rigging. But you don't just ban the account, you ban their IP address so the device itself can no longer be used to play tanks. Make em go buy a new rig if cheating in a game really meant that much to them. Time to start also giving full disclosure on player complaints as well making them public game knowledge for all to see. ZEBRA_25ER NA REBORN CLAN
This is the reason why I stopped playing World of Tanks on a constant basis...Too many people cheating. I can imagine in ranked battles how many people are currently cheating in order to get rank 1. the game is not fun anymore even with the upcoming changes. Wargaming doesnt care about the player base since alot of people have been reporting this stuff since lord knows when. Im a 51% rating player and its sad that people at my rating or higher are resorting to tactics like that. I may pop in and play a few games but thats the extent of me playing. all the cool camo and stuff from the game is not even worth obtaining anymore.
Claus said it best when he described how the Russians are banned from the Olympics for cheating. They can't help themselves from putting features like this in the game. I personally don't care because I only play for fun, have crappy stats, but will never re roll just to get better stats. I think Stat padders, re rollers are sad people. They start out PM ing me after I have a bad game or do something questionable in their opinion. As our President might say, "Sad, very sad". Its just a computer game boys.
Besides this, there is very solid evidence that when the friends don't all get on the same team, they tell the padded platoon where their teammates are so they can find them and always know just where to go. I think that is a whole lot more shoddy.

I may be going off on a small tangent here but imo this behavior is exactly why tier 10 is such a mess for both balancing and toxicity. I'd argue that this need by "pro players/top clans" to achieve 3 marks by any means necessary has directly contributed to the massive balance problems we see in game with premium ammo being used so extensively to pump scores that it has made playing any tier 10s with armor quite frustrating. Hell I see my tanks with no armor being premium spammed constantly too. Just look at FV/T95 Chieftain, a reward tank that has one of if not the best 120 mm guns and turret armor in the game. and yet i see players spam almost nothing but premium ammo in it because they all want that 3 mark. My point in relation to this video is that clearly things like 3 marking, hall of fame/winrate pumping etc (and thus the premium spam that comes with it) have contributed more to making the game unbalanced than anything else. And cheating behavior like this is more or less proof of that imo.

it has always been rigged. I hardly play anymore, but my account got "nerfed" after i team killed a staff member in the very first sherif event years ago (he promised to ruin my account). Apparently since that game i do not know how to aim and use my armor :D And that boys and girls, is why staff members should not play the game :P But just imagine wanting to be that good you have 3 marks but finding out you just don't have the skill...... you got to get it somehow ;)
I am an average player who has been playing this game for about 7 years. I play for the fun of it, for the entertainment and for relaxation. Over the years I have frequently been frustrated with some obvious cheating and the abusive nature of some in chat (this was partly resolved when they cut out chat between opponents). It culminated about 3 years ago when I had had a gut full and I stopped playing for about a year. I eventually picked up the game again but made two promises to myself: 1. Never spend another cent on the game. 2. Only play lower tiers. The second part makes the game enjoyable once again because at the lower tiers their is far less chance of the behaviour shown in this clip. Sure, it still goes on. But in general the new players are just out having a bunch of fun.

I honestly don't blame the people for doing it. It was wg's mistake. They were told they are allowed to platoon, and once they saw that choose map option, of course they're gonna use it. Really it's dirty but it's also 100% wargaming's fault. I am not saying this should be allowed. They should definitely take this map choosing option away. It makes no sense that people are able to pick the same maps over and over. But in the rules there was absolutely nothing that restricted players from doing this. If you're wondering if I did this, I would have to say that yes, I did platoon with my friend with my sheriff account, and I did choose maps that favored our tanks. Although it wasn't specifically to get marks of excellence. I did say that the map choosing system was stupidly op, but I read the rules 3 times over, saw nothing that restricted me from doing such things. This is just the point of view of someone who did do this.

WG's mistake for leaving the option in and not against the rules to use it (you know that it was a mistake and would be unethical to use it since it is giving you an unfair advantage) but using it to help your buddy 3 mark his tank is cheating and against the rules.
Oblitorstor I completely agree with you. There also is no specific eula rule against what the players did. Because the simple fact is they were playing the game with features wargameing provided. If people think those players should be punished the reality is then you think that if you did an action then a law comes against that action after the fact, they then want to punish you for that action even though when you did it , it wasn't law? using platoon mates to shoot a tank you track or spot is not rigging, its just replacing useless team mates with players who actually take advantage of situations you create. I have had countless games spotting tanks in terrible positions only to not get any assistance because I didnt have any platoon mates to shoot them. That blind-damage-farm-rigging is a pesitlence tho. even some FAME players aren't able to threemark a chieftain nowadays.
Down the line, I've learned why people form platoons the way they do. It's to guarantee they will be matched on opposite teams by making similar platoons. One super heavy + one autoloader medium and MM will look to put you against a similar platoon. I've had people message me about it. And I agree, having a friendly platoon help you is not rigging...but when you have an enemy platoon helping, then it is.

@@juanzulu1318 A Sheriff account is an account given to NA Community Contributors. The account comes loaded with gold, coin & bonds, along with nearly every tank in the game, including premium & reward tanks. When an enemy player kills a tank from a sheriff account they get 250 gold bonus. Each crew member has all available skills\perks, so it's shameful to see Claus Kellerman platoon in Pz 1C with another CC and laugh at the enemy team when he gets a topgun. (Pz 1 C commander is also radio op, gunner and loader so on a sheriff account they have 20 skills\perks.)

It's pretty far fetched for someone to go to through all that, I don't care if they get 3 or 5 marks and how they got it I don't give a damn about their marks, I only care about my own marks honourably and that's it no one will ever drive me mad about how they got their marks. The only thing that worries me about this video is sherrif accounts like that chieftain and choosing same map over and over again yet I do feel that wargaming has done this on purpose so that sherrif stats look good and sherrifs don't get bored with it and quit playing sherrif accounts and go back to their main account because after all an extra sherrif account is a huge huge commitment of someone's time to a wargaming promotion and idea.
People drive the marks up by doing what they were doing, making it harder for you to get your own marks. Plus you will lose in general if you encounter them...they go into the map with the perfect tanks every time
It would be nice if wargaming's map rotation and over typical design philosophy wasn't one of complete garbage funnel maps and folks didn't feel the need to do this for ePeen. As for the calls for 'banning' - AFAIK there isn't a rule violation being committed here. We asked not only on the WGNA stream, but also on one of the WGNA staff streams, they were already aware of it. Unfortunately, wargaming won't even acknowledge that there's demand for NOT PLAYING SHITTY FUNNEL OR SMALL MAPS...

Dude WG doesn't give a fuck. I put a ticket in for this very thing and nothing happened. I sent the replay, got the standard reply message. I watched the account for a about a week and it was online every day. And he got his three mark in the tank.
The whole 3 mark system promotes selfish play. You’re almost better off sacrificing your team and loosing the game to advance your marks. The battle result needs to be included somehow to stop top tier tanks farming from the back People don’t want to hold a line anymore. Run away, give up a position , just to get a few extra shots in. It’s a team game, and they shouldnt be putting so much emphasis on individual performance.
I strongly disagree with this, although I hear it often. If people who 3 mark tanks play selfishly, why do they have some of the highest win rates in the game?
The good players have high winrates. And they’ve 3 marked a lot of tanks. Mainly because they’re actually good at the game. What about the not so good , who are TRYING to 3 mark? There’s a lot of players out there who think they’re good, and give up easily defendable positions in exchange for easy farming.
For anyone to throw away their honor, morals, integrity and ethics, (especially over a game), how low can you go?! What absolutely despicable behavior! My pet cats have better behavior!
You can see how WG is desperate to get customers in North America and they will do anything for it including handing out the sheriff accounts to wrong people ... sad and pathetic from WG - I just hope they will end this and find better ways to promote the game ... and WG is so desperate in NA that they even refused to transfer an account of a guy who moved from USA to Europe and wanted to play in Europe due to the ping issue ... really pathetic from WG ...

You don't even need sheriff accounts to do this. People from a clan that shall not be named have done it simply by going to LATAM server and platooning up late at night since the population is so small. When someone has 7k DPG in the Chieftain over 70 games you know something is up. I don't care how good you are, doing that much damage on average is impossible without boosting.
This is indeed shameful but it bothers me much less than people running cheat mods. This artificially boosts their stats but does not make them any better. I wish community contributors would do more videos on cheat mods to pressure WG to take action.

I've been given a Sheriff's account twice and the rules were made clear we are not to abuse them for our own benefit. These were for events to give out gold and we could have fun. With regards to platoons they said this: " You can platoon with friends, but don't try anything shifty. ", so these guys knew exactly what they were doing and should have their accounts removed.
People like this are who get cool features for everyone shut down. Thank you for taking the time to get a record for it and I do hope WG can find a way to sort it without taking the sherriff accounts away from the players

Sofilein Wargaming doesn’t care enough to separate the offenders from the innocent. They banned all the accounts as expected and there will be no new accounts issued to those who were innocent, despite whatever bullshit platitudes they puke into our eyes about “resolving the issue” for the innocent players. More like “fuck you over because we don’t fucking care”.
And the Marks
They did finally sort it all out just in time for Turkey Hunt this year!!! Yes, they addressed it live on Twitch; not sure about punishments but they said offenders were dealt with! The accounts were accidentally Developer Only accts and they had to fix the mess they made and make things right. But, according to Wargaming NA staff; they solved it all now. They are hoping for an " Easter Sheriff " weekend next!!! : - )
@@ChivalrousVeteran Map picker did not used to be a thing originally on sheriffs, that was added randomly later, around the middle and or end of gold league originally. Either that or there was more than one type of 'sheriff' account, as back then there were plenty of random accounts (still are) that you can't see the stats on, but they can play pubs, essentially have most or all of the tanks that non-super-press accounts (ones that big streamers who've never played WOT before would be given, they have access to VERY special tanks and variants that NO ONE else does) that also do not give gold for killing them nor do they have the target on their name in the playerlist. I remember being cheeky with friends on these accounts and picking Mittengard in tier 10 and watching the chat flip out, WT E100s dying VERY quickly before they could rush down the hill if they spawned up at the top, while we were in Mauses and VK 72s. I also know that the accounts have flags, as does most every game that has distinct 'hidden or visible classes' or permissions and it's not that they're hard to remove as domo said, it's that they either don't know what they're doing or whomever has access to remove individual permissions of an account type is either in RU and or these changes require a total server restart to go into effect.
Reason I imagine technical knowledge not being out of the question is because WG staff used to claim they "don't have the means to check IP addresses that logged into a gold league account" when people were getting on other teams' accounts on occasion and intentionally getting that team in trouble by saying bad things in chat, team killing, etc. But who knows.

In order to clear up any confusion, this is absolutely considered a violation of the EULA.
Sanctions incurred while playing on a Sheriff or Spotlight account will be applied to the player's main account. If you have replay evidence of more of this behavior please submit it to our Rules Violation team so that we can take appropriate action.

WG has known about this issue since 2013(ish).

I honestly don't see what satisfaction there is in cheating your way to a 3-mark. So you get a nice little sticker on the barrel of your tank, but every time you see it you'll know its fake. In his book Racing through the Dark, former cyclist David Millar describes standing on the podium of the 2003 World Time Trial Championship and feeling empty, knowing that the only reason he won was through doping. This is the same thing, except when you dope in professional sports you can earn millions if you aren't caught; in WoT you get a pretty sticker on your tank and risk losing your account forever! Good job for helping to expose this sort of thing, Tru!

The main issue is not even them getting the marks, it's the fact that in the game, when you look at a player with 3 marks you get the sense that that player is good, but then they have 0 sense of team play and are selfish as shit, and I find a lot of these players in games I play, over and over again

To back up what @DatBoyGuru said, we have map pick on our HUNT (Asia's version of Sheriff) accounts and we've been specifically told to not touch it. Map pick has been an option for this accounts since the accounts were a thing, I'm talking as far back as 2013-2014. Each time we've been given these accounts on Asia, staff have told us that we are to not use this function.
WG should be banning their main account for doing stuff like that.
Clarification:
1) *Edit* Force leadership lied to me about kicking the guilty members. They all just changed their names and or got promoted on their alt accounts and nothing changed. To this day they still claim to be innocent and treat me like the villain for this video.
2) Pm_loves_hoarce shared a picture of him 3 marking the T-100 on mines, as evidence it wasn't on Prok, which is the map I first saw him in. So he's not map picking, but the platoon with the sheriff accounts is still questionable.
3) The accounts are not "Clan Spotlight" accounts, but rather "Community League" accounts. CL was a league sponsored by Corsair, which was a competitive 5 v 5 format. In some cases, the CL teams ended up being people from the same clan, so it wasn't like a clan spotlight when the accounts were given out, they just happened to be in the same clan. The accounts do give gold compensation when killed and map picks are available.
4) Wheels are turning to get this fixed because of the video, so thank you guys for your comments.
That seely guy was in the comments bragging but it looks like he deleted his comment about "using the spotlight accounts to their full potential" because it made him look like a massive tool since he's not good enough to even be in the league and earn one kek

When access is given to Sheriff accounts on those special weekends (I've done it 4 times now) the first thing we are told is that if you do anything "shady" your real account will face sanctions. The accounts of the sheriffs in this case should receive month-long bans at the least. The ones 3 marking should be either permabanned or account reset....START ALL OVER BOYS.

I've heard rumours of this dirty practice from many sources for over a month now but I remained skeptical. This is really eye-opening.
Have been playing on NA since 2011. Coincidentally the few times I've suspected rigging, they were members of GIVUP.
This is why we see a lot of Tier 10 tanks that just stands like a noob infront of enemy just to give them the hits and spotting damage. Thanks for showing WG how and why they do it.

Bro I literally saw a streamer (forgot his name) on the NA server going for the spotting record, and he was choosing maps and was picking prokorovka every time. He was a good player but if you are rigging the matchmaking and play that map over and over again compared to the enemy ebr who happened to just get that map once that is extremely unfair. And how can you even feel accomplished when your riggin the match making to give you the same map everytime.
That's slightly different though, but I would agree with you that we shouldn't have access to map picks in the first place. He's not boosting anyone's 3 marks or main account stats, he's only playing on the sheriff account and showcasing scouting to his viewers. It's more along the lines of what the map picker is intended for. But yeah, it shouldn't be there, I agree.

Another reason for rigging marks in platoons is because MM prefers to match platoons like-for-like on each team.
i sent my WOT account into cold storage for the remainder of the year. So many anomalies in so many different levels wear me down. But the prize goes to the Minsk guys for bringing in the french Mario karts... Power creep+ nerfing old reliable tanks sux the joy out of "playing".

You know it is a funny thing TRUvoodoo, sometimes I platoon with Claus Kellerman when he is in his Sheriffs account, and I will be watching his stream while platooning with him in his sheriffs account and I never once seen him pick maps. And I will gladly platoon with any CC who has a sheriffs account, just to have some fun platooning with a CC. But what you are pointing out is absolutely wrong and everyone caught doing it should be banned. But I have seen people using alt accounts, to mark their tanks by playing against themselves on opposing teams, and lordsheen is one of those I have seen using alt accounts. As I got a game with him where both his accounts was on the same team, and both using EBR's.

I have seen more examples of this, a person who can't two mark a tank, but has 192 games and has 3 marked one. This is also jacking up the work i have to do with 3 marking tanks of my own.

The best thing to do is if you catch someone that you think is rigging for 3 marks, you should file a ticket on the website with the replay.
things like this would also upset me, as they do not know how lucky they are to have the chance to own a sheriff account. i say those accounts needs to be taken away from those who are abusing it and given to players who plays fair and only gaining from it by giving back to the community(getting gold for killing them)

The same people dare judge others and stomp them on their performance. Game rigging is obvious during late night and early mornings. It is disgusting and I don't see why I should be involved with this game anymore. I play 15 games and I am done then I resume my campaigns on solo games. Some have many accounts and lose on purpose to drop stats on certain tanks they are marking on their main account. Fortunately new players around tier 5 are nor corrupted yet, we see this in high tiers.

There is a thing called ethics. What these fools are doing is certainly unethical. There is no defending what these fools are doing. I was in such scenario in EU server and texted the guys and insulted me instead! So i reported their act to WOT with details and screenshot but couldn't give replay cuz my replay manger crashed, that guy had a chieftain when i reported him and he was 86% and guess what, he is no banned and 3rd marked it, congratulations WOT for sick system of catching cheaters

I recently found your channel and have been watching some videos. Awhile back another tank youtuber was designated a C.C. and started playing his Sherriff account with friends. Watching on Twitch I noticed 4 battles in a row on Prokarova(I know I massacred that spelling) so I messaged him saying how crazy you playing a AMX 13 90 and getting the same open map 4 battles in a row. That's when he told his chat he was able to pick which map to play.
You know I don't think that's fair and I believe WG should let Sheriffs accounts be like regular accounts and not having every skill/perk in the game
It's okay to play a sheriff account with friends on regular accounts. The map pick feature is what was being abused in the case of this video.

We could only hope this is a rare thing to be happening. During the last sheriff event I got lucky enough to get one,, had a GREAT TIME , and did just as you mentioned; played tanks I don't have, played tanks I have and like,, but made great with those crews., again,, really enjoyed the chance to give out gold to everyone. I even sent at "GRTZ on the Gold" to everyone who got me. We ALL hope this doesn't keep those event from happening , TY for making this,, GLHF.

I came back to WOT after a six year hiatus and realized, after only a couple of weeks, I really don't want to play this game anymore. Too many AH's, no accountability, and too much bias for certain country's tanks and too much pay to win. I'm done. You just highlighted another reason to discontinue playing.
WOT doesn’t even enforce their written rules. They’re not going to say anything about this. The service a specific niche of players and everyone else is crap to them.
Whats ironic voodoo, is ive been a player since US release, and i have seen a few of veterans in the past 6 months completely rocket up the leaderboards, and through my own intuition (and being a capable player myself, 56% 2900 wn8) seen some of these veteran clans and players pull of games that is beyond their own punching weight, far more frequently, especially in tanks that are far beyond their capabilites, i give respect where it's due, but players jumping (within a week) from a 70% moe in the chieftain, to a 98% is not a statistical hiccup, it's obvious exploitation. It's complete cheating, platoons is fine, but what you show exemplifies obvious misconduct. Tanks is really easy to follow the rules, and if someone is in a gray area, it is ONLY because they know it's a gray area.
70% MOE to 98% in a short period of time is very common, since everyone begins at 0% when they just acquired the tank

@@jonshiveley5237 I've seen plenty of people with 1500 or lower overall wn8 but nearly 3000 recent. The situation you described doesn't rule out the possibility of the player recently acquiring a chieftain after becoming a unicum.
@@IR-xy3ij what i intended to say, is are Jon said, a chieftain with 200+ battles with Sub 2 mark by a wide margin, such as struggling to maintain 66% MOE for months, then going to 98% within a week, going from 2400 recents in a tier X, than within a week going upward of 3400 is a huge difference. 25% increase is not something that can be done without exploitation. I can peak at 10% a day, but to go above 25% for a whole week, and 3 mark THE MOST DIFFICULT tank a week a later.. nope.

Shame WG don’t do these basic checks - I would’ve thought it would be quite easy to run some rules against the player base to detect (eg WRtop 1% on any specific tank.) Hopefully they will start now.

Be it Rigging for 3 Marks or the Obj. 279(e) it is wrong. The only true way to put an end to it is to change the queue system with platoon is to put a random 0starter to engage when you click battle in a platoon you enter into a randomly generated starters block of Battle Requests that gives your platoon an unknown starter time for that battle. You click Battle and you enter a platoon queue prior to the main game Battle Queue. It could be upwards of a 20 second delay from the time Battle is clicked until your Platoon actually enters into the Battle Queue. But then it could be worse. Perma Ban all caught Rigging. But you don't just ban the account, you ban their IP address so the device itself can no longer be used to play tanks. Make em go buy a new rig if cheating in a game really meant that much to them. Time to start also giving full disclosure on player complaints as well making them public game knowledge for all to see. ZEBRA_25ER NA REBORN CLAN
This is the reason why I stopped playing World of Tanks on a constant basis...Too many people cheating. I can imagine in ranked battles how many people are currently cheating in order to get rank 1. the game is not fun anymore even with the upcoming changes. Wargaming doesnt care about the player base since alot of people have been reporting this stuff since lord knows when. Im a 51% rating player and its sad that people at my rating or higher are resorting to tactics like that. I may pop in and play a few games but thats the extent of me playing. all the cool camo and stuff from the game is not even worth obtaining anymore.

Claus said it best when he described how the Russians are banned from the Olympics for cheating. They can't help themselves from putting features like this in the game. I personally don't care because I only play for fun, have crappy stats, but will never re roll just to get better stats. I think Stat padders, re rollers are sad people. They start out PM ing me after I have a bad game or do something questionable in their opinion. As our President might say, "Sad, very sad". Its just a computer game boys.

Besides this, there is very solid evidence that when the friends don't all get on the same team, they tell the padded platoon where their teammates are so they can find them and always know just where to go. I think that is a whole lot more shoddy.

How many of these 'rigged to be best' players call the rest of us 'NOOBS' who play the game fairly? I don't spend 1 cent on WOT because of cheaters. Getting cheating out of a Russian made game? LOL! WG is making MILLIONS with people trying to 3-mark their tanks. and this sheriff accounts daaaamn this is the worst! FIX THE GAME!
Most of the top clans are basically given freebies and bonuses which screws the game. The problem is WG rewards cheating and encourages it.
I may be going off on a small tangent here but imo this behavior is exactly why tier 10 is such a mess for both balancing and toxicity. I'd argue that this need by "pro players/top clans" to achieve 3 marks by any means necessary has directly contributed to the massive balance problems we see in game with premium ammo being used so extensively to pump scores that it has made playing any tier 10s with armor quite frustrating. Hell I see my tanks with no armor being premium spammed constantly too.
Just look at FV/T95 Chieftain, a reward tank that has one of if not the best 120 mm guns and turret armor in the game. and yet i see players spam almost nothing but premium ammo in it because they all want that 3 mark.
My point in relation to this video is that clearly things like 3 marking, hall of fame/winrate pumping etc (and thus the premium spam that comes with it) have contributed more to making the game unbalanced than anything else. And cheating behavior like this is more or less proof of that imo.

Dopey Tripod I see. Honestly I don’t even use any mods at all. I’m hesitant because I’m pretty intimidated by the process and I’m not quite sure even where to look. It seems like the legal ones are very helpful, though.
it has always been rigged. I hardly play anymore, but my account got "nerfed" after i team killed a staff member in the very first sherif event years ago (he promised to ruin my account). Apparently since that game i do not know how to aim and use my armor :D And that boys and girls, is why staff members should not play the game :P
But just imagine wanting to be that good you have 3 marks but finding out you just don't have the skill...... you got to get it somehow ;)
I am an average player who has been playing this game for about 7 years. I play for the fun of it, for the entertainment and for relaxation.
Over the years I have frequently been frustrated with some obvious cheating and the abusive nature of some in chat (this was partly resolved when they cut out chat between opponents).
It culminated about 3 years ago when I had had a gut full and I stopped playing for about a year.
I eventually picked up the game again but made two promises to myself:
1. Never spend another cent on the game.
2. Only play lower tiers.
The second part makes the game enjoyable once again because at the lower tiers their is far less chance of the behaviour shown in this clip.
Sure, it still goes on. But in general the new players are just out having a bunch of fun.
The fact that you think you see players cheating only shows that you don't know the game mechanics.

I honestly don't blame the people for doing it. It was wg's mistake. They were told they are allowed to platoon, and once they saw that choose map option, of course they're gonna use it. Really it's dirty but it's also 100% wargaming's fault. I am not saying this should be allowed. They should definitely take this map choosing option away. It makes no sense that people are able to pick the same maps over and over. But in the rules there was absolutely nothing that restricted players from doing this.
If you're wondering if I did this, I would have to say that yes, I did platoon with my friend with my sheriff account, and I did choose maps that favored our tanks. Although it wasn't specifically to get marks of excellence. I did say that the map choosing system was stupidly op, but I read the rules 3 times over, saw nothing that restricted me from doing such things. This is just the point of view of someone who did do this.
This is the same argument that people who commit tax fraud try to use. It doesn't work for them. Shame on these people for doing this, actual children incapable of controlling their impulses.

WG's mistake for leaving the option in and not against the rules to use it (you know that it was a mistake and would be unethical to use it since it is giving you an unfair advantage) but using it to help your buddy 3 mark his tank is cheating and against the rules.
Oblitorstor I completely agree with you. There also is no specific eula rule against what the players did. Because the simple fact is they were playing the game with features wargameing provided.
If people think those players should be punished the reality is then you think that if you did an action then a law comes against that action after the fact, they then want to punish you for that action even though when you did it , it wasn't law?

using platoon mates to shoot a tank you track or spot is not rigging, its just replacing useless team mates with players who actually take advantage of situations you create.
I have had countless games spotting tanks in terrible positions only to not get any assistance because I didnt have any platoon mates to shoot them.
That blind-damage-farm-rigging is a pesitlence tho. even some FAME players aren't able to threemark a chieftain nowadays.
Down the line, I've learned why people form platoons the way they do. It's to guarantee they will be matched on opposite teams by making similar platoons. One super heavy + one autoloader medium and MM will look to put you against a similar platoon. I've had people message me about it. And I agree, having a friendly platoon help you is not rigging...but when you have an enemy platoon helping, then it is.

The account comes loaded with gold, coin & bonds, along with nearly every tank in the game, including premium & reward tanks. When an enemy player kills a tank from a sheriff account they get 250 gold bonus. Each crew member has all available skills\perks, so it's shameful to see Claus Kellerman platoon in Pz 1C with another CC and laugh at the enemy team when he gets a topgun. (Pz 1 C commander is also radio op, gunner and loader so on a sheriff account they have 20 skills\perks.)
@@clivedinosaur8407 many thanks for the explanation. Thats indeed insane (i heard u can even select the map) . In EU the CC accounts also offer all tanks right from the start. But beside this speciality they work just like a normal account.
I watch someone like Skill 3 marking and that is a guy who knows what he's at.
It's pretty far fetched for someone to go to through all that, I don't care if they get 3 or 5 marks and how they got it I don't give a damn about their marks, I only care about my own marks honourably and that's it no one will ever drive me mad about how they got their marks. The only thing that worries me about this video is sherrif accounts like that chieftain and choosing same map over and over again yet I do feel that wargaming has done this on purpose so that sherrif stats look good and sherrifs don't get bored with it and quit playing sherrif accounts and go back to their main account because after all an extra sherrif account is a huge huge commitment of someone's time to a wargaming promotion and idea.
People drive the marks up by doing what they were doing, making it harder for you to get your own marks. Plus you will lose in general if you encounter them...they go into the map with the perfect tanks every time
It would be nice if wargaming's map rotation and over typical design philosophy wasn't one of complete garbage funnel maps and folks didn't feel the need to do this for ePeen.
As for the calls for 'banning' - AFAIK there isn't a rule violation being committed here. We asked not only on the WGNA stream, but also on one of the WGNA staff streams, they were already aware of it.
Unfortunately, wargaming won't even acknowledge that there's demand for NOT PLAYING SHITTY FUNNEL OR SMALL MAPS...
Step 1: Abuse the system by exploiting loopholes
Step 2: Complain about the system getting more oppressive trying to fix the loopholes you abused.

Dude WG doesn't give a fuck. I put a ticket in for this very thing and nothing happened. I sent the replay, got the standard reply message. I watched the account for a about a week and it was online every day. And he got his three mark in the tank.
I bet wargaming responded by saying “its perfectly legal, they earned the right to map pick”

The whole 3 mark system promotes selfish play. You’re almost better off sacrificing your team and loosing the game to advance your marks. The battle result needs to be included somehow to stop top tier tanks farming from the back
People don’t want to hold a line anymore. Run away, give up a position , just to get a few extra shots in. It’s a team game, and they shouldnt be putting so much emphasis on individual performance.
I strongly disagree with this, although I hear it often. If people who 3 mark tanks play selfishly, why do they have some of the highest win rates in the game?
The good players have high winrates. And they’ve 3 marked a lot of tanks. Mainly because they’re actually good at the game. What about the not so good , who are TRYING to 3 mark? There’s a lot of players out there who think they’re good, and give up easily defendable positions in exchange for easy farming.

You don't even need sheriff accounts to do this. People from a clan that shall not be named have done it simply by going to LATAM server and platooning up late at night since the population is so small. When someone has 7k DPG in the Chieftain over 70 games you know something is up. I don't care how good you are, doing that much damage on average is impossible without boosting.
This is indeed shameful but it bothers me much less than people running cheat mods. This artificially boosts their stats but does not make them any better. I wish community contributors would do more videos on cheat mods to pressure WG to take action.

We don't need map picking as much as we need tank picking. I get assigned a map I should get to pick a tank. Like COD loadouts.

This sort of unconscionable behaviour makes a lot of players want to uninstall WoT. Wargaming needs to come down heavily on cheats as it is ruining the brand.
