In one of the biggest online stores for slothes and shoes, Zalando, the Air Jordan 1 low are listed as having partly real and partly fake leather.
So Nike does indeed use fake leather in their shoes.

From what I‘ve heard, nike’s leather is pigskin. Which is basically pretty low quality leather, but leather nonetheless.

sad lad This is absolutely correct, he went to the wrong spot for this opinion! He should have went to a real leather shop as I have before with Banned 1s and they were getting work done in the leather and it was indeed leather! Just a low grade cow hide!

I have also heard that some shoes (namely the air max 97) has a synthetic leather, not for any ethical reasons but just for cost management and the lack of volume of leather the shoe would actually need. I've also heard though that nike just uses low quality leather for that one specifically so idk which is true but interesting nonetheless
