Send the KLR first. Love it.
Another great Sunday morning coffee video!
Nice little jaunt, guys ! The views at those dams are really something, hey ?!? 👍🏽 Congrats on crossing the 50th. How cool is that ? 💪🏽 And, yeah, that last bit down that ‘sandy hwy’ is looking to be a challenge. Looking fwd to see how you make out there. Thanks for sharing guys ! 👍🏽👍🏽
Really cool on making the 50th. The farthest north I have been northern newfound made it for both weeks of summer
I was up there 2yrs ago ,cool trip .This year planning on going past 52nd parallel on quebec side. Good job on video
You guys are Legit Explorers!
North of the 50th! Great work fellas
Cheers Bryan! Cool to check that off the list :)
I had to look up what's along the 50th. Having grown up in Saskatchewan, I guess the 50th was my baseline, but now that I'm in Ontario, the 50th parallel looks a lot further away. I never realized how much further south my new home of Ottawa is.
Anyway, looks like it was a great ride (aside from the dust). Thanks for sharing your trips!
Good Morning gentleman!!
Morning Nate :)
Looks like a sweet ride up to those hydro dams. Pretty cool to get past the 50th. Furthest I've been is Pancake bay and I thought that was impressive lol. Way to go! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Awesome! Congrats on crossing 50! I love that rush you get when you accomplish a goal like that. Well done gents.
Thanks so much! We almost missed the little sign, haha. It was nice to see that someone had taken the time to mark the point :)
Great job guys ...now I will wait patiently till next week to see if you were able to continue down that last road . Thank you !
Looked like another good time, happy 50P ;)
Nice Mason, thanks again
You guys are seeing some pretty awesome sights! Nice ending....now I need to know if the sand gets worse....or better!
Haha, can sand get better?? Cheers Ron ;)
Congrats on 50!! Such satisfaction by all, and the honest reaction is awesome. Man those Hydro Dams are cool, neat perspective for sure. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!
Appreciate it! Cheers :)
Well after watching your videos all this time I finally gave in and bought a new to me 2017 klr yesterday. I wasted no time tearing it down to go over everything, service it and make some upgrades.
Nice! Congrats :) Ride safe and enjoy!
I've been to 5 of them hydroelectric dams in Montana and sever that where not hydro, they are amazing feats of engineering!. Due to current fuel prices it seems I'll be doing alot more exploring on the bike rather the truck.
Another great video. Very cool to see in summer. Interesting to see the next video. According to Google Maps your route should bring you back to the 634 altho thats no hiway your on!
G'day Mason ,
Another great video I watch them sometimes a couple of times weeks apart but they are very entertaining keep them coming !
Just for interest sake for anyone with a KLR who doesn't want to spoil the package but wants a bit more get up and go I have done this to my second generation 2009 KLR with great results , All the CVK40 KEIHIN carby mod videos I have seen suggest cutting Four coils off the slide return spring to get better throttle response and yes this does improve it but I have increased this to Ten yes that's Ten coils off the spring , I was hesitant to do any more than Four so I did Ten in increments of Two to be careful and to see what the result was and if it went sour I was only up for a new spring .
And to be extra careful I also turned the spring upside down so the end I cut was now at the top and seated in the cover above the diaphragm just in case it caused any issue with the slide returning to zero throttle .
This solved the problem of nearly going over the handle bars every time I closed the throttle rapidly and no this mod doesn't make the throttle hang up at high speed when you close the throttle and as I do 100 klms ( 60 miles ) a day commuting to work and back and traffic is a problem sudden throttle closing was an issue and in the wet became dangerous .
This mod really sparks up the throttle response of the KLR and the acceleration improves dramatically and it costs nothing to do apart from the time it takes to dismantle and reassemble the bike and doesn't require any other mods or affect any state of tune or mods already done if any but as always you do any mods at your own risk as I have done based on information you find other people have done . Hope this helps anyone with a KLR who doesn't want to modify their bike too much . cheers .
Congratulations 🍻 fun to listen to how excited you guys were. 👍 That last section looked a little sketchy, sandy. Hey I’m getting ready for the riding season. I just use the link in your description for Rocky Mountain ATV/MC or is there something else? Thanks.
It was a bit sketchy considering how far away we were from camp.. lol. And yes, the link should take you to my top picks page and from there to the main page if you are looking for something I haven't linked. Cheers Steve!
I’ve been in the over 50 club for years. 😊
Whaaaa…? Not the same thing? 🙊
😂
Lol. Close but different Pinkie 😄
@@masonsadv Close works for me. 😂
How long was the complete trip?
Always looks like a fantastic ride and the great perspective from the 360 camera
Tire question Mason....planning on running the TKC 80's again this year on the 16' KLR. Any real difference running tubeless tires vs tube type? I run tubes like you, but is there really any difference?
The tubeless tire has a stiffer sidewall and can be more challenging to install. Other than that they work the same ;) I try to get tube type but usually end up buying tubeless if that's all that is left...
