Thank you for this! Any chance i can dispute even if i started making payments (paid half already) and yes they did add “COURT COSTS” to my original debt that shows on my credit Thanks much
And i “signed online contract” with collector about agreeing to pay the “court costs” so they stipulated the lawsuit against me as long as i pay it all off
@@NailaLea you can dispute it, but it probably won't do much good. Keep an eye on your credit report, if it is reporting, make sure the balance updates with your payments.
I got 5k medical collection and they are reporting over 9k i guess with their fees. Is that illegal? Seems very excessive and I don’t know where to start

@@TexasConsumerLaw thank you, and if they don't update simultaneously ?
@@NailaLea it can take a 30 day cycle to catch up, what I see is balances that don't update at all.
For the usc codes you mentioned is the full code 15 U.S code 1692 f.1? Just making sure I’m searching this correctly

Do you have the bills that show the lower balance? Send them to the collection agency and credit bureaus.
I’ve sent 2 emails and left a message with your answering service 3 weeks ago and no one from your office has called me back, is your office open?
