- In Final Fantasy XIV you can get a chocobo companion, that also doubles as a mount, to help aid you in the open world. These can attack, heal and even somewhat tank for you, andto top it al off, they come with an additional 70 slot inventory too!

Just a note from 12/27/22 ''Bird in hand'' seems now only avaliable if you own a apartment or an estate or be sharing a estate.
I believe that's how it always was
Just a quick mention of on unlocking. After you complete the quest to join your grand company, if you booked it to the chocobo quest location and are still missing the seals, the next msq quest will actually award 300 seals.

Hey glad to see you making videos again! I wasn't surprised when I saw the stop of PSO2 videos. I am also playing FF XIV as well, such a great game. I still play PSO2 every now and then, but right now FF XIV has my attention and I'm glad your making videos for this game! I'm probably gonna know most of the stuff you talk about but I'm still gonna watch em, cause you never know what you might miss
I want to come back to NGS in like a year or so when there's tons of stuff to do, hopefully. Til then I'm also really enjoying FF as well! There's been a lot I've been holding off on releasing due to wanting to see what Endwalker brings first, but after that I plan to cover more than just new player stuff. Thanks for the support it means a lot, truly.

Chocobo is your best friend, but you can be IT'S best friend if you're playing Blue Mage and ripping through the overworld and FATEs with your OP spells!
Also worth noting that if your chocobo is defeated and leaves the field, you can just re-summon them. AFAIK there's no penalty or wait time for them to come back.
Yeah that's right! I feel silly for forgetting to mention that.
You just have to wait for the "death" animation, which takes a REALLY long time in an intense fight/FATE
looks like a lotta info. I didnt bother wit the chocobo after i realized I had to keep feeding it those greens. If I could just have it out without a 1 hour timer it'd be better. Where can I easily farm those greens for the chocobo

Sadly I lost my drive for FFXIV since i got stuck in a quest in Limsa Lominsa that requires me to do a dungeon (where no one else is doing). Tried playing with an alt but eventually i lost the desire to play it. I might go back to it someday but not as likely as it is (unless squeenix offers a b2p option but im aware its unfeasible. Sub to pay games turn me off). Also i get my fantasy fix lately with old fashioned tabletop roleplaying games.
Still i'll keep this in mind the next time i get back into 14. Ive been wondering for a time when i can get a chocobo mount. Autowalking is pain.
If you register for the dungeon during a normal time to play, you are prioritized for the duty above all other players if it’s for msq progression. Also, most players do roulettes because of the perks that will funnel players to whatever duty is needed for the msq. Hope you give it another shot. Another idea is to join a free company and ask people to join you in the duty. Hope you come back and check the game out again.
@@bate01071 I was but no one showed up. And this was before endwalker dropped. Also i uninstalled ffxiv.
@@rovaljax You can do dungeons with npcs. IF you're queuing as dps even at 4am it only takes like 20 minutes do something else in the meantime.

How do I unlock the stances on PlayStation??
Everything should be the same for Playstation, in that you need at least 1 point into each stance's skill tree/line to be able to use it.

To be honest, I'm just not interested in NGS right now. There's lots of cool new things, but they aren't something that will keep me occupied for more than a week or 2. It takes a lot of time to put together videos like the ones you're looking for, so I'd essentially only be playing to make videos.
I did this when I played JP PSO2 where I just stepped away for a little bit and waited for more content that I was interested in. For what it's worth I still love pso2, and rly like NGS, but it just doesn't have enough for me right now.

I’m level 30 and I don’t have a chocobo nor have I seen a quest for a chocobo
How the hell did you get it to fly?!
I believe all you need is to have flying unlocked from completing "The Ultimate Weapon" main story quest, then also flying unlocked in any other area you want to fly in. After that, once the Chocobo Companion is summoned, right click on it, or on it's health bar once targeted, and choose Mount from the dropdown menu.
"No matter what job I'm using" - even scholar? Healing is the most useless tree chocobo tree hands down if you're a healer.
If I was to offer general advice, it wouldn't be to train healing first. It would be to train a tree that compliments your favorite role. Still brief advice, just a little more sensible.
So you prefer to heal yourself as a healer in regards to farming fates and you call that sensible? To me sensible is focusing DPSing as a healer and not worry about being healed since my chocobo is doing that. At least say in your opinion. Let us know your youtube vid and general advice. mmk
@@zapotec818 No, the fairy does the healing when you're solo. You do the DPSing. Hence why I said "even scholar?"
What if im halfway thru leveling my healer stance and decides to put some SP into tank/dps stance... can i do that? will I have enuff SP to complete my healer stance by the time my bird is lvl 10?? (Im on trial version, no fc/marketboard either, not sure if i can get that onion 🧅 to pass lvl 10)
Depends how much you put in to each. If you want to play it safe don't invest any more points til it's 10.
