Thank you so much for putting 17 in bottom tier. I played a lot of 16 and everything in 17 was worse. Graphics were horrible, my players got nerfed even more than in 2K16. 2K16 nerfing the players slightly was actually a good thing because in 15 7’0 SF demigods were a thing. Also 17 ruined the shot meter for no reason
I played both and if were just talking MyCareer, 2k17 was definitely an improvement from 2k16. They introduced player builds (which is a genius idea and all of them were effective if used by a competent player), the grand badge and hall of fame badges (although the access to badges outside of your build were restricted from leveling higher than bronze, the HOF badges were super effective ingame so it made up for those losses). The graphics means nothing if the gameplay is poor, but even then 2k17's graphics was on par with 2k16, both games having horrific body types and weird sweat mechanics that you would mention if you actually cared about critiquing the graphics/textures of these games. I have yet to find anyone who played 2k16 MyPark heavily say that 2k17 MyPark was worse. These games were virtually the same, but then the gameplay comes in and things change. I personally don't like either 16 or 17 shot meters, but I do prefer 2k17 since it was clear to see the bar move across the player and reach the end of it to get a green release, having it in the middle just makes no sense so 2k left that idea and adopted the 2k17 shot pattern for their next games.
Your take on 2k17 is facts. This was the first 2k that they really started to milk us dry with the myplayer builds. It is the most overrated 2k of all time. Mediocre at best. Doesn’t come close to the greatness of 2k16.
22 over 17 is crazy ngl😂22 gameplay was so ass no paint defense and any and everybody whites damn near every single shot,not to mention how boring the game was and you could not even find a game if you didn’t have a squad😂

NBA 2k11, NBA 2k12, and NBA 2k16 were my go-to games and they still are, especially NBA 2k16 because I would just play MyCareer on NBA 2k16 and I'm in my 10th season now
Great damn list bro! But don’t sleep on 17! High key had the best shooting mechanics in the whole 2k series bro, and the gameplay was very very balanced now that I look back, that’s one I also slept on till I came to realization.
2k22 is awful! I've played all 2ks and 22 is terrible gameplay wise. 2k12 was redeemable for the NBA legends moments which was a sequel to 2k11. Swap 22 with 12 and I'd say it's a decent list. To each their own.
17 was fun idc how you look at it technically or how good the game was technically it was fun which is the point of a video game compared to now where the Graphics are insane,got any reward thinkable,and a bigger park with affiliations back and they game is still boring,ass,and too expensive I will gladly take 17 back over any 2k after 💯😂
