Nice to see those lots of birds. If that place is only near to us, for sure will be there often to pick up empty shells.

Haha, yes the whole beach is covered in shells. In fact a little further along from where I videoed this the whole beach is made of nothing but shells. Hence the name of the location - Shellness.

Another great and informative video Nick. So well filmed as you always do, lovely little birds, I’ve only ever seen a few but learned a lot watching this.
    Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for those kind words, always nice to know people appreciate it. If you get to a location where they are in any number Common Ringed Plovers are hard to stalk but if you watch where they are feeding, sit down and blend into the environment a bit they will come quite close. Indeed, a few of these ones came too close to video properly.

@@BirdingwithNick gosh that’s brilliant. I managed to photo a few Common Sandpipers on our lakes here and then spooked some Snipe - great to see them here too 👍👍👍
Keep sharing Nick. Your vids are excellent 👍👍👍

Hi Helena. Indeed, I tried to video them as they ran across the sand in pursuit of small crabs but had to give up - too fast. Have a good week.

Hi Nick! This was excellent, thanks for sharing. I'd love to visit that beach someday. Can I ask, how do you record your voiceover narration? What's your setup? Cheers and happy birding!

Thanks for watching and your comments. I am not using a very sophisticated ste up; I just put a microphone into my camera and speak into that; I do it in a room that has lots of soft furnishings to prevent any echo. Then I just drop the file into the editing software I use and cut and move it around as required. I usually use this microphone - Boya BY-M1 Lavalier Clip-on Microphone - amzn.to/3jIrF5O
