    Started Omad fasting 25 days ago. My started weight 87kg being a 42 years old, lost 5kg in the first 9 days. The best thing ever. I was sold at Autophagy. The extra and clarity you feel during the process is overwhelmingly unbelievable. Wish I knew this when I was 30. Appreciate all your posts, well done in all the useful information you’ve shared.

      The sweet spot for the Autophagy to get into the high gear big time is between 36-48 hours of pure fasting. Then it fades after 72 hours-that is where the diminishing returns happen. Stay focused…

    I ate everything in one meal including white rice, veggie soup, kimchi, and fried fish. I have more energy now and am better focused. I’ve also started noticing acne disappearing from my face and body. This really works and saves time and money!

      We've been led to believe that quick weight loss is the ideal thing but it really isn't. Slow gradual fat loss is much better (no matter how you achieve it). You need to be careful that you aren't losing muscle.

    The quality of the food you eat during your window is the most important thing! Organic dense food, good proteins, low carb and high good fats will help you to loose weight and to keep your hunger under control, your cravings disappear!

  • @candyclews4047

    I have a 4 hour eating window. I break my fast at 2pm with a green smoothie (2 scoops of protein powder, spinach, moringa powder, spirulina powder, knob of fresh ginger, cucumber, 2 tbs coconut yoghurt + water) and 2 Brazil nuts. At 5 pm I eat with the family a normal meal of protein and lots of low carb veggies (chicken thighs cooked in garlic and tomatoes, with broccoli and a quarter avocado or 2 slices bacon, 2 eggs, scrambled and a large salad with vinaigrette). That's it and I feel great.

  • @miked8023
    @miked8023 2 роки тому +30

    I just thought about this. If you eat the standard 3 meals a day, that is 90 meals a month vs. 30 meals on OMAD. That’s mind boggling. Even if you mix in 16:8, I bet your close to 45 meals or so. That’s half the food!
    I just got back on OMAD. If I told my coworkers, in the past 2 days, I have eaten 2 meals verses there 6 or more, they would think I was a starvation nut, but this is when I feel like I’ve got the most energy and mental/spiritual awareness.

    • @KatieZeldin
      @KatieZeldin 2 роки тому +7

      @@javieleetoo2213 I don't get acid in the stomach, at all. I used to have it when I was a carb addict, after eating something very sweet. Now about the hunger. During my fasting window I drink plain tea/coffee and electrolytes (water with salt and potassium) . Rarely, if I feel a little discomfort in the evening, I add a teaspoon (or less) of soluble fiber in my tea. I took this advice from Dave Asprey. After you become metabolically flexible, you hardly feel hunger, to this day it feels like a miracle to me. But starting with OMAD will be hard, I'd suggest the 16/8 first. Good luck!

      Drink sparkling water, sip electrolytes, have a coffee or tea. They all can help.

    Is it beneficial for people really lean (around 9-10%) doing OMAD ??

      Absolutely. It’s a sustainable way to maintain being lean because you are continuously pushing fat burning.

      I would recommend drinking with apple cidar vinegar with water instead to prevent gallstones from forming.

    You didn’t mention about women. As we all know we do have lots of hormonal fluctuations happening. As I herd women’s can’t do long fast continuous. Please reply thank you so much .

    your mind works with the speed of light...
    you postponing a meal,you are curbing the light (hunger,depression) your not doing anything.
    It could be a great shade for people who are fat...but again not stopping the light.

      Start with a large dark leaf salad with olive oil on it, then have your meal (low carb). You'll be running on fat so make sure it's all good quality. Unless you are already low carb high fat you will need a time of adjustment such as two weeks of 16/8, you will loose weight during that period anyway.
